Reverend Ben Cooper:

Hello, world hello hello wherever you are today, as you join us here at #Christian straight talk you're joining myself, Reverend Ben Cooper and Simon Pinchbeck. As we gather around the mics on we just come straight out of the barrel of truth, no holding back, we will just put it out on the table. And we really believe God is moving in a very powerful way in the end times in which we live. We are in the book of Revelation, and we are at the end of time God is moving very powerfully. Are you for Jesus? Are you a philosopher? Come on. Let's get straight in Simon. Good morning my friend.

Simon Pinchbeck:

Good morning my friend. there.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Yes, I mentioned the word Book of Revelation.

Simon Pinchbeck:

Cool. Well, but you You're right, mate, to be honest with you. And you know, this is our seventh podcast.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Yeah, we're in

Simon Pinchbeck:

on fear. And everything to do with fear the last one, if you haven't caught it yet, with the #Christian straight talk on Spotify and all the other podcast platforms was the fear of God, which was a real powerful session

Reverend Ben Cooper:

that was really fearful on its own. Yeah, you know, as soon as you mentioned the fear of God, you think wow, this is what I need to keep me stable. It's what keeps us stable, though, isn't it? The fear of God,

Simon Pinchbeck:

it should be shouldnt it, you know, so he should be but as we discussed on that particular podcast, the fear of God has left the church building at the moment and you know, he's like your friendly Santa Claus.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Yeah, softly, softly catchy Jesus.

Simon Pinchbeck:

look after you. But you know, He is the creator of the world and as the power in his hands to build up or destroy anything, even one breath is not you cannot take another breath, Ben Cooper, without the law of God, or dynamic Kenya,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

you can't you can't he knows everything about us. And you know what, some of us so true. He is our breath. He is our DNA. He is the King of kings. He is the Lord of lords and we are at the end of time. And what a time to be living for Christ but it's the hardest time and it's Simon we've had a hell of a week

Simon Pinchbeck:

it's been tough tough isn't it? So it's just been battles all over the place lessons as well but

Reverend Ben Cooper:

of course they run close together then they run close together. But isn't it easy? Isn't it easy to focus more sometimes on on the battle rather than and the battle belongs to the Lord and trying to draw yourself away from the way that I answer the text the way the answer the email the way that I remove myself from this situation. You know, sometimes we go in like a bull in a china shop and that's what the devil wants he draws us into that rather than going the battle belongs to the Lord I'm going to find peace in this

Simon Pinchbeck:

well under percent then and also says in Daniel that in the last days, the enemy will seek to wear the signs down and that's what he's doing to a lot of wearing them down. You know, another thing coming in, I never think coming in one after the other after the other and this it's just a deal with these tests and trials in life. Yes, opportunities to go this way. But, dude, if I listen to what we've got to say a day, because we're gonna give you give you some great counsel as to as to how you move forward with the Scripture and how you move forward in the spirit to get all this stuff coming at you. Otherwise, my friends, you will lose your peace and once you lose your peace, it's a slippery road, Ben road rage,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

road rage all day long, all day long. But the title of today's podcast is keep your eyes on Jesus. Keep your eyes on Jesus and we just want to encourage you, sister or brother or foe or friend whoever you are on the other end of this mic listening to this how you just caught us through through just by not pure chart but by God ordained in you to listen to this stuff. We just want to encourage you we want to encourage you that we are living in very powerful times we are living in times that I never thought I would see in such a quick concession of everything happening so much. And we've got to encourage one another you know, the church can't help you. The pastors can't help you. The bishops are no good. Then now No one's going to help you but Jesus, we have to be brutal. We have to lay on the line. We thank God for Godly wisdom and godly counsel and all the stuff that goes along with that. But there is a such a small remnant, and the only way that we are going to survive is exactly what David did. I stroke for myself. In the Lord. But alongside that I keep my eyes. I keep my eyes on Jesus. Because Simon, if I look at what the world is doing now, even if we look at the fuel crisis, it puts fear in your dinette to a degree. So what do I do? Oh God,

Simon Pinchbeck:

to be honest with you, I don't know where it came from when I was waking up in the middle of night thinking, I'm going to get some fuel, because I've got a few trips to do and you know what, you know, there's no problems. 10 minutes or a couple of fights on the forecourt

Reverend Ben Cooper:

in the name of Jesus. But even one Corinthians chapter liver, yeah, Siri, you know, love is all about love.

Simon Pinchbeck:

But is the deal being what what is the opposite? I want to ask a question. What is the opposite of love?

Reverend Ben Cooper:

What is the opposite of love? Yeah, hate, anger, frustration.

Simon Pinchbeck:

Many people would say that, but the opposite of love is fear of ben

Reverend Ben Cooper:

true. Yeah.

Simon Pinchbeck:

Love is fear. And the thing is right now, the enemies using fear says in the Bible that that in the last days fear will ensnate multitudes of most people, and it destroys lives and it's the enemy's most powerful weapon. So how

Reverend Ben Cooper:

do I combat as a believer, a man or a woman brother or sister? How do I because there's only two genders? How do I how do I deal How do I deal with

Simon Pinchbeck:

this? Because this is taking it will take you all over the place you live in question Does God really love me is you know, with all this stuff going on, I can't seem to get this out in my mind help me. We have to have a vision and we have to have a vision and Psalm 93 gives us that vision. Yeah, it says one of the beginning says certainly a short song but it really is so powerful. And if you get this app you know on your back burner might this will whistle change your vision unfair because it says there the Lord reigns he is clothed in Manistee The Lord is clothed. He has girded himself with strength Surely, the world is established so that it cannot be moved your throne is established from old, from everlasting. Then it goes on to say something that this is interesting. The floods are lifted up by law the floods have lifted up their voice the floods have lifted up their waves the Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters. Then the mighty wager to see your testimonies are very short holiness adorn your house or Lord forever. So what are you saying there, Ben, is that, you know, you've got Jesus, who's good himself, which is put, Menzies put on his armor, and he's standing there next year. That's the vision you've got to have so many toes, you hear that the floods are gonna come

Reverend Ben Cooper:

that that the floods are coming. So this is really important that I, as a believer, study end times, if I know what is going to happen, not because of what Satan is doing, but because it has been written and prophesied through the Word of God, if I am very aware spiritually of what's happening around the globe at this time, fear goes, because I understand that the scriptures are true. The world is only doing what the Scriptures is telling me it's doing so suddenly I realized that this, this Jesus, this this God that I serve, he's girded up this strength he's wrapped around me good, he's he's got me on all corners, and I'm wrapped in his love, I'm wrapped in his goodness, are wrapped in His Word. And I can't save the planet Simon, if I can glue myself to an another police car, or the M 25. Plant another 1000 trees isn't it's not going to save the world is it? Because the world is slipping and sliding. So if I worry about climate change, if I worry about the fuel situation, if I worry about money, if I worry about all this, it's not so much the devil has got me he's just got me occupied with what the world is doing. But I've got to understand that God is good at itself around me,

Simon Pinchbeck:

you've got to understand that and that's the vision, you've got to have got to have the vision, and you got to have the vision of Jesus standing next to you. So we've got, we've said this many times, and we say it many times again, but we really need to hit in home that you will never be the flesh in the flesh. You now don't have a mineral if you try and do it by yourself, you're going to come unstuck. Yeah, I mean, people pay 1000s of pounds for therapies and psychiatric treatment and all that sort of stuff. Yeah. But if you just got a vision and belief that you've got Jesus Christ next to you, and you've got to get you're going to get through whatever is thrown at you if you've got a shield of faith in front of you, my friend, hallelujah, take on those Yo. Yo, and then he was standing behind the shield of faith following Jesus day. He's not gonna we're not saying that the first step is not gonna come, but it's how you deal with it, Ben. Yeah, you cope with it, so you deal with it and manage it. The Prayer is not take this away from me. Prayer is give me the strength to get

Reverend Ben Cooper:

through it endurance. So if you're an injury massive, I will need to endure. Now, what Simon was saying, it's very clear to me that as a believer, I thank God for the doctors, the nurses, all the systems in place. But there comes a point, when the counsel and the counselor won't work, the therapist won't work, the treatment won't work, that won't work, or what will work is when I come to the end of myself, like the lady with the issue of blood, she had spent everything she had had spent everything on the doctors, and the Bible says very clearly that she grew worse. But suddenly, if I can touch the hem of His garment, see if I can touch the hem if I can get to him. It's not that he's left me, it's that I may have walked away from him. And it's the protocol again, you know, fear gets us to do some strange things. But I've got to understand, if I keep my eyes on Jesus assignments being set, I keep my focus, my vision, vision is really important. My vision could be distorted at the moment, if I look at the queues for the fuel on the food, my vision could be distorted if I lift look at the media, but if I keep my eyes, Hebrews 12, verse two says, Look unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of your faith.

Simon Pinchbeck:

I've got to look to him. Do you got to keep your eyes on Jesus? Totally.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

And, and he is good in himself?

Simon Pinchbeck:

And is there my view Yeah, he's there with you by your, by your side is the shield of faith and you're standing behind that and you're following him and your your shield is getting bashed and bad. Yeah. And, you know, I would say at this time, if you're sitting quite comfortably, not a lot going on around you, then you ain't really stepping out. in faith, you're not really stepping out and you're not sort of doing anything for the Lord not doing anything for the kingdom. Because as at this moment, as soon as you step out and start to do something, but a kingdom, then the arrows are gonna come in but and you know, you won't cope with this by yourself. And you, you know, yes, you can call a mate phone a friend, yes, you can, you can do all that stuff. But it'd be time spent, as you quite rightly said, in the quiet of your own home. You know, the time is normally three o'clock in the morning, and many of you out there will recognize that. And that's the time when you wake up. And that's the time when you can't go back to sleep. Because that's the time when the enemy puts all that stuff into your brain. And you're not going to get out of that without, you know, that, that you've got Jesus standing beside you, and wherever you are. And it's going to get you through whatever you're going through, you know, if you look at, it's a great verse in Philippians, four, six, and seven tells us be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer, by prayer, and supplication with thanksgiving. So he says that, skimming by Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. So what are you saying there? Ben is even in these situations, even in these vehicle situations, we're still thinking, God, that's right. Still thinking God?

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Yeah, so I do what the scripture says every time what a scripture says there's an issue, I do what the scripture says. And the writer writes very clearly, and what Simon has says Philippians, four, six to eight, be anxious for nothing. So that that little four, four line of four words that that that means absolutely everything, I'm not anxious for fuel, I'm not anxious for the food, I'm not anxious to pay the mortgage. I'm not anxious about marriage issues. I'm not anxious about the children. Everything has to be brought to the cross. Everything has to come to Jesus. And I keep my eyes and my vision and my focused on him. When I'm focused on him. You know, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Wow, you know, so there's that difference isn't as we looked at before, there's two types of fear or you're fearful and what this is referring to this anxiousness this this adrenaline this feeling that that Lucifer drives the arrow that he keeps firing the the suicide arrow, the fear arrow, the down arrow, the arrow of you're not capable, it's you, you're nothing Who do you think you are, but when I find who I am in Christ Jesus, I'm a child of the living God. I'm living forever with the King of kings and the Lord of lords. And I'm not going to be anxious for nothing. Philippians four, six to eight, be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer, and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. The scripture also says done it. Some of you have not because you asked not

Simon Pinchbeck:

Totally it's it's there. It's there in the words in the Bible, and it's in

Reverend Ben Cooper:

the Bible. We keep mentioning that word a lot Bible don't mean God's converted. is converted.

Simon Pinchbeck:

Great Bible scholars. Oh, no, no, we know what the Word says. It says all your requests be known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding. So goes beyond goes belly up. So when you're when you're in a right mess, and the world thinks that you shouldn't have peace, that's the time when you've got babies in the world or go in on what's happening to wind up. Yeah, but look at him. He's got a smile on his face is something different about him? Because it says, which passes all understanding will guard your hearts will guard your hearts and guard your minds? Yeah, Christ. Yeah, yeah,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

look at that the scripture says it all. And the peace of God which surpasses knowledge, understanding PhDs, leadership skills, all that sort of stuff is just washed away. It is gone, It is finished, it is over. It has no power to get you the piece that you require. But I do believe a lot of church leaders are trying to find peace in their own skill set. They're trying to run and make things happen because they are skilled in certain areas, business and leadership and, and worldly stuff, and trying to marry and trying to bring the worldly way of their teaching and understanding to fit in the kingdom, when the kingdom is spiritual. See, the natural knowledge of the world and the natural knowledge will pass away. It says it very clearly that you know, knowledge puffs up. We got to go by faith. So what Simon is really clearly saying is the peace of God, that the world cannot grasp and you cannot buy it and you and also Simon you cannot teach it. You can't teach this stuff. You can help you can encourage, but revelation or knowledge from God surpasses everything.

Simon Pinchbeck:

And it's a piece I had this you know, when I've, when I first came to the Lord, you know, I was wracked with anger and resentment and bitterness and not sleeping at all. But I had a piece when I came to the Lord, as he said, you can only get by knowing Jesus Christ and now is the same thing. So if you know Jesus Christ, if you've if you've made a decision to make him your Lord and Savior, then he's made he's accepted you and your, your his property, and do you think he's gonna let you leave? You say you've been bolted? Do you?

Reverend Ben Cooper:

own yourself? No, you don't. The church doesn't own you. The world doesn't own you. Your family doesn't own you, your children don't own you, your wife, your brother, your sister, whether you're married or unmarried, no one owns you, you are a slave to righteousness.

Simon Pinchbeck:

And you think Jesus is going to just leave you there. Now. The Master is going to be with you, but he needs you to him and keep, as you said, Keep your eyes on him. Not on your bank balance not on on our money on anybody else. Keep your eyes on

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Jesus. So the scripture says, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything else shall be added unto thee. Yeah, so my goto horrible way to put this in it really might go to jail if you've got it, you know, it has to be Jesus. It

Simon Pinchbeck:

has to be Jesus. Yeah. And you know that scripture? Like many scriptures is completely misuse, you know, seek Firstly, yes, no, you're dumped. You've got to seek put God first in everything. So that's what it means. Seek first the kingdom here and His righteousness. You can't just seek God when he isn't different. You need him. You know, you've got to be seeking him all the time. But he first all the time to come first silence

Reverend Ben Cooper:

is give me a bit of a gateway there is a doorway to site there. We don't seek God when liberal Christianity is is flowing. We don't seek God when everything is roses are in the garden. We seek Him when we broken and when we lost. No one seeks him when it is running well. And there's a deep thing here. It's a deep thing. Yeah, it's a deep thing because God actually breaks you down to get your attention. It's not Lucifer. We see this quite a lot in the Scripture. Lucifer only has the power that has been given to him from above. If you have been bought with a price and the price in there ransom has been paid by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, you are not of yourself, you belong. Your master is Christ Jesus. And if I am not doing what my master has required me to do, he will allow certain things. He will allow certain areas, but he will suddenly start chasing me down. And he will get me to a place. I often believe that when we talk about burn out, washed out, lost out, gone out brokenness, God has taken us to the brink, where we are completely reliant. That's when that scripture comes in. Seek ye first. No one is seeking Him. When when the pastor's got a nice car, now they're not seeking him later, they're not seeking Him. And

Simon Pinchbeck:

there is the trouble because if you're not seeking Him in those times, then in the good times, then how do you know where to seek Him and the bad times? Because if you're not listening to the Lord, if you haven't got that relationship with the Lord, where you're thinking, and you're given him, this is in here, he says, In supplication with thanksgiving, if you're not thanking the Lord, you haven't got that communication going so you can't suddenly cry out to the Lord and go Lord, Lord help me and then when when everything's together, you go off on your merry way again, no,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

that's right, Simon, you're right. What happens is Yeah, gotta be very careful there that suddenly everything becomes shiny again and nicely polished and by by Jesus for a while, then suddenly, we're missing in action, doing something else, because I'm in ministry, but I'm not really I'm in my own ministry, I'm not serving Him and I'm not following him correctly, then something happens and we quickly go and blame the devil, when actually Christ is calling and drawing and stripping, and chastising as a father does

Simon Pinchbeck:

and you know, the Scripture tells us very clearly you'll be put through the flames like God all this stuff will come up well, my friend is a deal if you're not listening, and if you're not taking account of what's going on and you're not getting rid of things in your life, if you're still letting the flesh creep in and seep in there you just got to go keep going round in circles because you could just kind of keep failing the test that the gods got puts in front of you. So you know the the way to do this is is know that know your demon lives know your Yeah, know Jesus there, keep your eyes on Jesus, and you will have, you won't have, you won't be tossed around. You will have stuff come in, but you'll have a piece because you you'll know, you know, Jesus is their son, Ben, we said it right at the start on is God, the Father knew that fear was the probably the most powerful tool of the enemy, and he knew that was gonna be a problem for us. Yeah, as weak and frail centers. So that's why he put Do not be afraid for another 65 times,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

do not be afraid. That is such a powerful text. You know, Christ injured, he went to the cross, it tells us that very clearly. Do not be afraid Christ deals with fear. The Bible is laced with different areas and different dialogues and different conversations where Christ is where the disciples are, they're in a fearful moment, you know, that the leader, the centurion, the, the one that was, that knew how powerful the word was, and, and how important it is for the, for the, for the power of God, to come into your life, and God has to be God has to be number one, he has to be there. And that and when we look at that, right, okay, I've got to seek you first, the kingdom of God. God puts everything else into the correct order into the right layer in the right place at the right time. If I seek Him, I don't become fearful of the world. If I seek Him, I don't become fearful of governments and political agendas.

Simon Pinchbeck:

Because another thing that goes along with fear with the enemy is separation. Yeah, and making you feel you're on your own. I've got to do this. You're on your own, but we've just got a few names here. People in the Bible, you know, let's you know, Abraham What did I probably got sided Avery say Do not be afraid. He said to Moses, do not be afraid. He said to Elijah, Jeremiah is Zeke Do not be right when they go into important the awareness when they go into the arena. He said he is said to name it on the wall. Do not be Right I just said to the children of Israel and Joshua Do not be afraid he said into the angel at Beverly and he said to Mary Elizabeth Do not be afraid he said to the scheppers do not fear not is the angel said here angel said he said when Jesus was on the water he walked on the water he said to the apostles Do not be afraid in the woman at the tomb the eyewitnesses Do not be afraid. And when Saul went down and was on his conversion he said to Anna knife, do not be afraid. Everywhere this you say everywhere few examples what this

Reverend Ben Cooper:

does solid this knocks completely out out the area of this false gospel that has gone on for so long. That revival is Iran jumping up and down great Hallelujah, Jesus the reality of life through the power of God's Word. Every time there was a great man used he always said to them, don't be afraid to totally that's the same inside naturally froze the switch up our DMA. I'm worried, but God deals with that. The Bible is laced, and it is from old to new, telling us Don't be afraid. Don't be fearful. Don't worry, the battle belongs to the Lord

Simon Pinchbeck:

standstill. Yes, fear. Fear Keep your eyes on Jesus. No, you know come on. The Lord knows the Lord knows that we get afraid. But just take a double dose of Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

It's so easy for us to go Don't be Don't be afraid but when you're on your own and I'm not on what I mean is when you're in the world I'm not talking about when I'm when you're at work when you're at home and and the thought starts to turn away and Lucifer fires that arrow. And they're saying you go Oh yeah, what about maybes and the ifs and buts? Right. Okay, God, I thank you that the battle belongs to you. Right now in the name of Jesus. I'm a Son of the living God. I'm a daughter of the living God. Lord, I thank you that you love me Your love is unconditional. You know, I really believe that. What what what is a great model to take hold of is the Lord's Prayer. If I can get the Lord's Prayer on my heart, you know our Father in heaven. If I if I can get that, get that so when trouble comes, maybe get a psalm that I'm very familiar with and I speak it. So when them Little Foxes and little arrows come in, I go right Lord, in the name of Jesus, you're my Heavenly Father, I stand on your word. Lord, I thank you that your word is is hope your word is future Your word is solid. Your word is the rock. You are the rock and my salvation You are my God. The Lord reigns on higher Lord I thank you that you're not let the righteous be beggars of bread you shall supply you will feed you will help you will guide when I start getting into the Scripture and I start quoting and start lifting up. God when I praise Him, isn't it powerful how the Bible uses praise against the enemy.

Simon Pinchbeck:

Totally. And that's it says then in Isaiah 63 it says for the spirit of evidence put on a garment of praise. And so that yeah, that just sums it up there but yeah, been there ever day for some the other day on a series of no I was waking up at about three o'clock in the morning with different things on my mind and find it very difficult to get Yeah, and I knew where it was coming from. So you know you what you just said there what I did is I've got some 62 one and two. And I just kept saying you know, my cell phone is rest in new in God alone for you are my rock my servation my fortress and you are will not be shaken I get that. And you know, a piece comes about you and I was able to get off to sleep that you really need to get the scriptures in your back pocket, you need to get them you need to know how to use them and need to know you know, it's it's not all about you. It's about using, using his words word to fight to

Reverend Ben Cooper:

strengthen you. And so, so the clear thing from all this all the way through all this is that I have to be in the Word of God. That that's, that's a given. If I'm in the Word of God, it doesn't eliminate and it doesn't completely take everything away. But what it does, it gives me a spiritual focus. It gives me peace, it gives me understanding, but also what it can do. It can heighten the activity in the spiritual world. But we've got to remember is that the battle belongs to the Lord. And our battle isn't against flesh and blood. But our battle is against principalities in heavenly realms against the authorities and everything that the scripture says. So I need to be very aware that there is a spiritual world out there that is strong, but it is not stronger than my god

Simon Pinchbeck:

and We said it before this, this is a spirit. The spirit of fear is a spirit. It's a spirit on you at certain times. Yeah. And we'll come through it. So we don't battle it in any other way. We can't battle it. We can't battle in our own flesh. So yeah, we need to be battling it with the Word of God, we need to know that Jesus is by our side. Yeah. And a smile comes on our face. And we just give it to the opposition at and listen my friends. We not saying this glibly to be now we're not because you know many people I know many people who are fearful of even losing the fear at you know, there's the fear. So we know that this thing's real. And it's not just throwing a few scriptures out there. It's not that no because the enemy or go, Well, I know that I know that. I know that. But it's, it's, it's when he knows that you have the authority with that Jesus Christ in you and you in Jesus, when he knows you've got that authority. The NIH has, as you quite rightly said, Ben, you've been in the word you've kept in the word you've you've noted a word you listen and you're praying, you've got a personal relationship with Jesus and and when the enemy knows that, that you are a childhood living God. Yeah. Then when you speak out these words that it's it gives these words authority. Yeah, God's words or thority. So then the enemy will go, Whoa, you know, hang on a minute. Yeah. And it may take a few times and it may take this journey as I said, Yeah. Because you know, you're not going to chop a tree down. We won't blow up an axe now. You've got to keep going and going and going till you get victory. But and you're, you're on the winning side of things. You are on the winning side, you've got the power of Jesus Christ with you the resurrection power in you.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Praise God.

Simon Pinchbeck:

Wow. Wow.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

JOHN, Chapter One says, In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God, all things were made by him. And without him. Nothing that has been made was made. So everything is in and through the power of the Word of God. Because we understand for the book of Colossians, it said very clearly that the Christ is the image of the invisible God. And then in the same gospel that I've just read out and read about verse 14, it says, and the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, we have seen his glory in His grace and His truth. See, there is truth in the Word of God, you know, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. As you start to get free Simon mentioned fear again, there's two types of fear I've got to be fearful. And I've got an understand the rough on the power of God, but in that fear is freedom. Freedom from what the freedom from lucifers fear the what the what that? That's what I'm free from. The Bible says work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

Simon Pinchbeck:

We spoke about that last week, but so powerful Simon, and so switch your fear we don't walk around glibly we

Reverend Ben Cooper:

and big headed, be be an arrogant have a have a

Simon Pinchbeck:

positive fear, because know who you are in Christ. Yeah. That's the whole thing about this man is that people out there, they're, they're not being taught, they're not being led, that they are a child of the living God. They don't know who they are in Christ, and they don't know that they have Jesus standing by him all the time this and they don't know that, you know, they don't know the word of God. Look, is the thing. If, if, if you've lost your piece, if you've lost your mind, you know, wondering what's going on? Look at this. Look, let me let me give you Psalm 121. Ben, come on. Let's have that one. It says this, he says, I will lift my eyes to the hills. From whence does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord who has made heaven and earth and this and this. Listen to this, if you're out there, he will not allow your foot to be moved. Who keeps you will not slumber behold, he keeps Israel shall neither slumber or sleep. The Lord is your keeper. The Lord is your shade and your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day or the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil. He shall preserve your soul The Lord shall preserve you're going out and you're coming in. From this time forth and even forevermore. Our prayers

Reverend Ben Cooper:

God, come on, look at that. promise that Psalm 122 Yeah, come on that that this 1121121 sorry. 121 that that is what I need that that is what I know. I've got to be in the word. You know, he's got it. He's got it. He's got us covered. Everything is covered in him. It's so in. So, so important. I've got to rejoice in him. I'm blessed in a mom saved in a mum. I'm redeemed in him. I am a child of God within him. He, I lift that my eyes, lift up my eyes to him. He's got me. He's got me. The king has got me. You got you. He's got your Simon. He's got your band. He's got your listener. You've got your brother, sister. He's got

Simon Pinchbeck:

you. Galatians 220 I've been crucified with Christ. It's not Ireland, but Christ lives in me. And they've got at resurrection power.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

You have you got the resurrection power

Simon Pinchbeck:

inside of you. You know, Ben, we chatted on and discussed on another podcast that a lot of a lot of fear is rooted in in unbelief. Because if you don't know the Scripture, yeah, then how can you believe what the words Yeah, yeah. If you don't believe what the word say that is unbelief, and the Lord hates a god, I believe. Yeah. So what's the prescription for the diagnosis? Ben is trust in the Lord. Trust in the Lord and believe, you know, read the scriptures, know the scriptures. Remember the scriptures. Yeah. And speak out the word out. No, you are in Christ, know your identity in Christ. And that's something else we'll we'll talk on another podcast, your identity or authority, but when you know your identity in Christ, when you know that, that God has got you, he says, God has got you hidden, hidden in himself.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

By hidden in him selves. The Scripture says that so yeah, yeah, I mean him. So I'm safe because I'm in him. I'm wrapped in him. And that's what we read out earlier in the scripture that he's good at. He's around me, I'm in him Psalm 91. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the most I rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Simon Pinchbeck:

Then you've come up with, you know, a classic, amazing song, Psalm 91. Scripture and the thing is what you said there is true so many people will just glibly say, oh, I've read Psalm 91 but if you're not doing what it says, what it tells you to do then you're not going to get what he tells you to get so if you're not if you don't do well in live in the shelter and remote start then you won't rest in the in the shadow of the Almighty. It's it Yeah, you can't just say out it's not a formula. No, it's not a walk this thing out Ben, but that that's what the shame. spreadsheet is not a prodigy.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

That's what we've had for so long and we but locked down and broke that. Now I'm not going to go back to the spreadsheet and the recital, or am I going to say Jesus, I'm for you, and start dwelling and living in the shelter in the refuge? Am I gonna live in the word? Am I gonna get the spreadsheet out or map my way out through this? I'm not going to trust him and live in him because it says, I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust? Surely he will save you from the Fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence you know that Psalm is enormous. Shoo, shoo, tells me it tells me so much that there is trouble outside of the kingdom God there is battles there are areas of snares the Fowler's snare, you know what snare is that's like ghastly way of trapping. It's unbelievable. And the more you pull when your foots traps, the deeper it goes, the tighter it gets caught my lord hallelujah. Jesus, you know, he says in verse five look at that was This is a classic what Simon's had this week. Verse five, it says, You will not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day the terror at night, I

Simon Pinchbeck:

said, not a pestilence nor that nor the disease nor the religious leaders outside darkness or the destruction that laser You know, it goes on to say that you know you his command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your way. That's beautiful, isn't it? He's commanded angels around you.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

There is some there is an angelic beings that are assigned to you, that will guard you in all your ways.

Simon Pinchbeck:

They will not let your foot slip,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

but they will lift you up in their hands. That's

Simon Pinchbeck:

Thats it the

Reverend Ben Cooper:

come on

Simon Pinchbeck:

but you've got to be walking this stuff out. You can't just sit in your lazy boy chair and think this is gonna happen. Now this has got to be walked out. You've got to be walking this stuff out.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Yeah, that's quite an interesting text in verse 12, Psalm 91. It says they will lift you up in their hands. So they will physically Yeah, yeah this folder of you Yeah, lift you up. Not because of how great the angelic being is, but because how great God is and he has commanded His angels concerning Simon concerning Ben concerning you, brother or sister, Psalm 91. You will not fear the terror of night you will not fear the arrow that flies by day. The Lord is your refuge. The Lord is your strength. He's your guide, he's your rock. And there he is the Lion of Judah. Common Law, we want to hear the roar of the line of Judah.

Simon Pinchbeck:

Always awkward. Remember, I was in the car, I had the kids in the car, a little bit younger and some of their friends in the car as well. And we're coming down the motorway and they combed off part of the motorway. So us cars coming down your side and your gun on the other side. We have a set carbons in the middle and yeah, and it was in like slow motion bend You know, this car came it clipped a cone and this comb was coming straight from our windscreen, you know, well, and all I could do was shout out Jesus. And it was like a gust of wind just took that come and laid down. On the right side shoulder. Yeah, and I just drove on. So when he says he commands His angels concerning you, that's what they're about. That's what they're about. Yeah. And you're just not that out of the way and enjoy carried on going. So you know, and I think anyone who's a born again, believer, you actually sat down and wrote out blessings and blessings and blessings, or what the Lord has done. You all got examples of that. You've all got examples, no one's more special than anyone else. Everyone's got an example of that, where, where you might have Crockett, and I'll tell you another time. Well, come on. Just a couple of talks in a prison out this way. Let you add, it was the on the on the ship it was on. And I was going on when I nodded off and woke up in the car. And I was stopped at the traffic lights. You're kidding. No, I stopped at traffic lights, and I just woke up.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

And that was that was a real fear moment. Yeah. And I thought, thank you,

Simon Pinchbeck:

as well as it I don't even remember getting there. But you know, it could have been what curtains kind of it could have been Yeah. So what I'm saying I was saying what we're saying is very

Reverend Ben Cooper:

seriously, what was God God goddess protected you. Not only is he protected us, He has sent His one and only Son to die for us. We are blood washed, we are sanctified, you are cleansed from your historical events. Because the scripture says I love this, this brings everybody under this, All have sinned and fallen short of His glory. So when Simon said, There is no one special because that scripture flattens everything, all have sinned and fallen short of His glory. But when I realized my Redeemer live, when I realize that he saved me when I realized that I belong to Him, when I realize I'm a slave to righteousness when I realized that the fear of the world is nothing compared to the fear of God. When I realized that he is My Lord and my God when I realize that he will put angels to fly concerning me

Simon Pinchbeck:

concerning you when you realize you're standing next you saw it in and it's got you when you realize that they're my friends, we all go through this stuff. You know, Ben, we talk about it all the time. We talk about it all the time that the stuff that the enemy is from as it's just crazy, but you know, the brightest, the brightest sunrise comes after the darkest night Ben and then Praise God. Why? If you look at a palm tree upon trees, the week of looking trees, but it withstands hurricanes and everything, it bounces back. Why? Because it's because God has offered that danger that way and the same guard is Stan is got you in the palm of his hand. He's got Jesus Christ standing next you've got the Spirit of the Living, resurrection Spirit living inside of you is commanded angels to be around you. vsv will come in. But chase it out, chase it out by chase it. We've given you so many scriptures with a word I chase. So many great scripts

Reverend Ben Cooper:

loaded but learn a psalm 91 verse 14 to 16. I'll quickly read this, because he loves me, says the Lord. I will rescue him. I will protect him. For he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him with long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation, my salvation. My, my salvation.

Simon Pinchbeck:

But the key to that to me, Ben, and that's something that's on my heart all the time. But the key to that to me is, he acknowledges my money

Reverend Ben Cooper:

versus I felt that I knew that he was going to say that. I just know that because that is key is key. I acknowledge, I know the name of Jesus Christ. And as the scripture says, he's been given the name, the greatest name in heaven and earth. That's the name of Jesus, every knee shall come on a in a fruity, and every tongue shall confess,

Simon Pinchbeck:

but I don't know about you. But I've been so encouraged today by other scripture, podcasts and these scripture. Yeah, yeah. You see him in a different light at times.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Because Simon, you know what was talking about before revelation or knowledge, we can study the Word for a lifetime. But study only has an earthly sea level. But when God reveals, it blows it open so far and quick, and suddenly is really good to study because the Scripture tells us we should study. But there is something more powerful than that. Studying that knowledge, Revelation or knowledge God reveals we've read it 1000 times we've looked at 1000 times, we've recited it 1000 times. But suddenly, that moment, when, when your earth my body, my Earth suit suddenly has an explosion of revelation or knowledge because that's what happened to john on the island of Patmos, when he was in chains when he was beaten when he was with criminals. When he was on that island God revealed God revealed God reveals God downloads opens it blows you know, God's word and
