Reverend Ben Cooper

Ben came to faith in Jesus as a teenager.  As his dyslexia was not recognised, he despondently left school a year early and started work as a hod carrier. He gained a City and Guilds after completing a 3 year apprenticeship in bricklaying; during this time he was rebellious to God’s calling but later - following a ‘God Moment’ - he committed to his calling. He remained in the building trade until his ordination and is now Senior Pastor of an Elim Church and Lead Chaplain at a local Hospice.

Ben’s passion to preach and teach, he heeded to the call of God and completed the Church Training Program at Elim Bible College. He was very active in Prison Fellowship and was appointed as Chaplain to the Mayor for 3 consecutive years.   Ben engages in theological studies and debates and has never allowed his dyslexia to hold him back or detract him from achieving his goals.

Simon Pinchbeck

Simon was a ‘Copper’ who crossed paths and became a ‘Criminal’ then changed his direction in life to become a ‘Christian’. After 23 years Simon left London’s Met Police after receiving a `Not Guilty’ verdict on a serious assault charge. He then became obsessed with money, succumbed to a life of crime and faced prison or death.

In 2002, after seeing the difference that Jesus Christ had made in the life of a very violent man, Simon invited Jesus into his own life. He has been reunited with his family and continues to let Jesus tell His story, through his life.
