It is the early evening devotional prayer time. I invite you to stay just for these few minutes. You know, life is extremely busy. We are locking onto news channels. We are seeing things happening around the world that we never thought that we would see in our generation.
Psalm 46 For Unsteady Times
SPEAKER_00But we are going to jump straight through to Psalms 46, verse 1. This is the title of our prayer together. God is your safe place when life feels unsteady. Holy Spirit, the world and life certainly feels unsteady at this hour. Father, what we're hearing across the news channels, the social medias, what we're hearing through radio, through TV, Spirit of the Living God, the world feels very dangerous. Lord, and I feel quite unsafe. And Lord, I ask you right now that you will take that feeling of uncertainty away. Lord, when we don't feel steady in the environment where we are, Lord, will you bring peace and will you bring hope? But Lord, you are our God. You are our refuge and you are our strength. And Lord, as we look, dear God, and as we listen to what the world is doing, Holy Spirit, I pray that we will find that safe place in Jesus Christ. And Lord, we thank you for Psalms 46, verse 1. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. And Lord, I pray for everybody under the sound of my voice that they will find that safe place through the word of God. Lord, that they will be able to breathe. Lord, as we look across the world that is at war, that there is violence from corner to corner. Father, we are hearing certain things around the world. Lord, we don't want to lock on to what the world is doing. Father, we want to hear the Father's heartbeat. We want to capture the Father's voice. Lord, we want to feel anointing in our lives like never
Rest And Strength Under God’s Shelter
SPEAKER_00before. Lord, we thank you that there is a fiery hedge around each and every one of us. And whatever this day is reflected, whatever this day is doing, Holy Spirit, please declutter our lives. And Lord, we pray for three areas of our lives. Lord, we want to be able to rest in the refuge of the shelter of the Most High. We want to know, dear God, that we are found in the refuge of God, that we are under thy wings. Lord, and as we rest under the wings from the protection of the world, Holy Spirit, Lord, we want to gather that strength. Holy Spirit, Lord, we need more strength because we're quailing we're feeling quite weak and quite tired and quite volatile to the world. Holy Spirit, I pray that hope will rise as we rest under the shadow of the Almighty, as we gather strength through the power of the glory of God. And Lord, as we gather, Lord God, as we rest, hope will rise. And as we rise right now, we thank you that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Father, we thank you for the prayers of David. We thank you for the power of the Word of God.
Prayer For Peace Across The World
SPEAKER_00And right now, Lord, at this time together, we stretch out from London, England, all the way to the Netherlands, Ireland, India, Israel, Nigeria, South Korea, and we're calling on the God of David right now. I pray for peace in every workspace, peace in every home, peace in every village, every nation, every tribe, every language, every color. Lord, we pray for peace. We pray, dear God, for the love of God. And Father, we thank you that you never leave us nor forsake us. But wherever we are, from the battlefield of life, Lord, to the external battles, to the internal battles, to the fears, to the doubts. Lord, wherever we are, Father, we thank you that nothing can separate us from the love of God. And Lord, whatever we are carrying, please, God, lift the weight, lift the weight, Lord, and help us to find that refuge in the presence in the face of the storm. And Lord, just remind each and every one of us in our spirit that fear can never win because our refuge is stronger than any storm we face
