Welcome And Closing Prayer Setup

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer. I'm Reverend Ben Cooper coming to you live from our studios in London, England. Let's open God's word together and let's pray together. Wherever you are, will you join me for the close of this day? Let's pray together. Let's have this closing prayer. Whatever your life is reflecting, however you are feeling. We are tired, we are weary, and I apologize for my voice for the duration of this day. It's been a bit croaky, but let's never ever give up. God is with us.

Safe In The Shepherd’s Hands

SPEAKER_00

We're in the Gospel of John 10, 27. This is the title of our closing prayer together. Safe in the hands of the shepherd. Father, we thank you that we are safe in the hands of the shepherd tonight. And right now, Lord, Father, we need the safety and the protection of the Word of God. Lord, the day has been fierce. The journey, dear God, is tiring. Lord, just breathing and living sometimes takes absolutely every strength that we have. But right now, as we stretch out, Lord, as we try, dear God, to declutter the mind, Lord, our minds are very loud right now. There is a lot of noise, dear God, in our heads. Lord, I pray that you will remove the noise and the overwhelming feeling. Lord, that you will bring peace. You will bring strength. Father, we thank you that you are the good shepherd and you are watching over our lives and you're carrying us through every moment. And just remind us of your faithfulness.

Worry, Noise And The Need For Peace

SPEAKER_00

Father, as we stretch out live from London, England, to the United States, to Romania, Hungary, Botswana, Israel, we are praying for three areas of our lives. Lord, we are looking for security. Lord, we're looking for peace and we need rest tonight. Holy Spirit, Lord, I pray that you will breathe over us right now. And Lord, through the beautiful book of John 10, 27, my sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me. Father, we know you. We know the word. But right now, Lord, the world has been so noisy. Today has been very exhausting. Lord, we got battle fatigue, work fatigue, life fatigue, and we just bring ourselves before you. And Lord, I pray for every troubled spirit, troubled minds, troubled hearts right now. I pray, dear God, for the worry and the fear of life, of finances, petrol, diesel, food, clothing, the children's shoes. Lord, I just pray right now for those parents that are worrying, the adults, dear God, that are stressed out. Lord, I pray for humanity right now. Lord, that you will bring peace to culture to life. Lord, we do not want to lock on to the war cry around the world. We do not want to listen to the political language. Lord, we want to keep our eyes on Jesus. So right now, Lord, give us the confidence to keep moving forward. Lord, give us that confidence that we're in the shepherd's hands, that the presence of God is in our spirit. Lord, lift the burdens, lift the worries.

Release The Burdens And Sleep

SPEAKER_00

Lord, I pray right now for the filing draw of the mind. Lord, open that drawer up, Lord, because we are holding lots of files, and the files that we are holding are draining us. The files are wearing us out. Lord, we keep going back in the filing draw. We keep bringing this out and that out, the ifs and the buts, the possibilities of the maybes. But Lord, we don't want to live in the filing drawer of the mind. We want to live in the presence of the shepherd's hands. We want to, dear God, feel the love of Jesus Christ. You are the great I am. You are Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. And we come to you right now and we're looking for peace. We thank you that fear is gone, doubt is gone, and nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. From the battlefield to the boardroom to the field of life. I thank you that the shepherd is watching over each and every one of us and wherever we are scattered. Lord, I thank you that your love never fails us, that you're surrounding us right now. Bring peace to troubled minds. Bring comfort to weary hearts. Fill every home with your gentle peace tonight. Help us to release the burdens that we've been carrying today and to trust you with everything that tomorrow may bring. Lord, we thank you that your strength, your mercy, your favor is over our lives. Have a beautiful sleep tonight. Don't ever give up. Put your head on that pillow. Smile because God is with you. Don't ever give up. Fear can never win. Thank you for staying with me for the duration of this day. But will you join me again for the first prayer of dawn before the sun rises across your life tomorrow? Let's get out of bed. Let's pray together. Let's stand together and don't ever give up. The Spirit of God is over your life. You're going to sleep well. Good night and God bless.
