“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Psalm 55:22 (NIV)  “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Jesus, I pause right here in the middle of this day. God, everything feels heavy right now. What started with energy has slowed under the weight of pressure. Thoughts have built up, responsibilities have gathered, and I can feel the strain of carrying more than I should. I feel that. The tiredness that sits beneath the surface. The weight of everything pressing in. The quiet sense that I need a moment to breathe. feel it. But I will not keep carrying this alone. I come to You. You are not asking me to push harder. You are inviting me to come. To bring what is heavy. To release what I was never meant to hold. To step into a place where I am no longer driven by pressure. So I release what is weighing me down. I release the stress that has built within me. I release the pressure I have been holding onto. I release it. And now, I receive. I receive Your rest. I receive the peace that settles deeply within me. I receive the strength that begins to return. I receive. You are restoring me. Even in the middle of this day, You are present. You are not waiting for the end—you are here, now, bringing rest where there was strain and calm where there was pressure. So I slow down. My breathing steadies. My thoughts begin to quiet. My heart returns to a place of trust. I am not overwhelmed. I am held. Jesús, en medio del cansancio encuentro descanso en Ti y mi alma se fortalece. Jesus Cristo, no meio do cansaço encontro descanso em Ti e a minha alma é renovada. Jesus, sa Iyo ako nagpapahinga at ang puso ko ay napapanatag. From São Paulo to Buenos Aires, from Panama City to Bogotá and Santiago, across Latin America and beyond, You are present. You are restoring. You are strengthening Your people. So I pause. I release. I receive. I rest. In Your name, Jesus, I am steady, I am restored, and I am at peace Amen. midday prayer, daily prayer, Matthew 11:28, Bible rest verse, overwhelm prayer, stress prayer, rest prayer, peace prayer midday prayer for overwhelm and stress, Matthew 11:28 meaning prayer, God everything feels heavy right now help me, Christian prayer for rest and peace, prayer to slow down

Welcome And Settle In

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. Whether you've been journaling just for a few hours today or just gently praying, having a cup of tea or a cup of coffee, just taking time out, the busyness of life, just now listening to the sound of my voice. We're gonna pray together. So whether you've been journaling, reading the prayer, or you're listening to this audio prayer right now, let's jump straight in. We are going to the beautiful book of Matthew, chapter 11, verse 28. This is the title. Father, we thank you for the love of God that is over our lives, and wherever we are now, we need rest. Father, we need peace for our heart, our mind, and our body and our soul. But Lord, you give us an open invitation in the glorious book of Matthew 11, 28. Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Father, I don't have, we don't have the privilege that the disciples had walking on the pathway on the shoreline of Galilee, walking with you, Jesus. So Lord, we need to go by faith. And Lord, so often it is so difficult. Lord, you are calling us right now. Lord, we didn't have the privilege of seeing the physicality, touching the hem of thy garment, seeing you face to face. So Lord, sometimes our faith gets a little bit stretched. And Lord, when we're overtired and we're weary, Lord, the cry is today, call us, Jesus. We are tired, we are weary, and we are burdensome. But right now, Lord, we believe that the beautiful book of Matthew is calling each and every one of us. So Lord, wherever we are across the four corners of the world, we stretch out, Lord, with hope and faith. But Jesus, come to me and help me. Lord, you invite me to come to you. And Lord, I'm bringing the invitation to you right now because Lord, I'm at work and I'm a little bit scared. Lord, I'm in the rhythm of day and it's getting a little bit heavy. Lord, I feel really weary and tired. And Lord, I'm not quite sure how I'm gonna find you through the carnage and through the chaotic way this day is unfolding. But right now, Lord, you very clearly tell us, come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and you will give us rest. So Father, I pray that you will help us to cast our burdens onto you. So Father, I thank you right now that I'm sitting at my desk. Lord, I finished the school run. I'm at home, I'm resting, I'm in bed, Lord, I'm in the gym, Lord. I'm just living my life. And Father, I pray as we capture the sound of this prayer, I pray, Lord God, that you will lift us out of the worries and the fears of life. Lord, we've got responsibilities that are gathering. Lord, we've got fears that are running alongside them. And right now, Lord, help us to pause in the middle of our day. Help us to pause right now and to breathe. Father, we commit our heart, our mind, our body, our soul to you right now. But Lord, I pray that wherever we are, that you will restore us, that you will carry us, and you will help us just to slow down. So right now, Lord, whatever this hour may be, Lord, will you reset our heart? Lord, when the weight of the day begins to settle in, Lord, we don't want the day to settle in. Lord, we want it gone at the name of Jesus. And Lord, we walk through that beautiful book of Matthew. Come to me. All of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Lord, this is the hour that we need rest. So Lord, through this devotional reflection time, Lord, we are reflecting through the word of God. I thank you, dear God, that you are calling us and we can hear you through the scripture as we read it and come to me. Lord, I thank you that you are calling us right now. Lord, I pray that we will make you our anchor, that we will make you the center of our lives. And Lord, I release the weight that I cannot carry right now. And I receive the rest from God's freely heart given to me. So right now, Lord, your heart, Lord, is freely giving me love. And Lord, I thank you right now. I'm learning to rest in that heart of God. So Jesus, when the weight of this day begins to press in, draw me back to you. Help me to release what I am carrying and receive the rest that only you can give. Restore my strength and steady my heart as I trust in you and you alone. Father, bless the listeners, bless the prayer family wherever they are right now across this platform of this world. May the Spirit of the Lord be with you. Thank you for staying with us. Thank you for journeying with us. May God bless you on a beautiful day. In Jesus' name. Amen.
