Evening Prayer — Jesus, I Commit My Way to You: I Trust You to Act as I Release Control of This Day Psalm 37:5 — Commit Your Way to the Lord; Trust in Him and He Will Do This Live from London, England São Paulo • Atlanta • Nairobi • Manila • Paris prayer to trust God • Psalm 37:5 prayer • surrender prayer Christian • release control prayer • evening trust prayer Psalm 37:5 (NIV): “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.” Proverbs 16:3 (NIV): “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” John 3:16 (NIV): “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son…” Jesus, I commit everything in front of me into Your hands as this day moves forward. There are things I have tried to manage, outcomes I have tried to shape, and moments where I have held on tightly, wanting to make sure everything comes together. But I release that now. I place it into Your care. You see what I cannot see. You understand what I do not yet understand. You are already working beyond what is visible, aligning what needs to come into place. You are working. So I let go of control. I do not force outcomes. I do not carry what belongs to You. I step back from striving and allow You to move in Your way and in Your timing. And in that place, trust begins to settle. You establish what needs to be established. You bring clarity where there has been uncertainty. You act in ways that go beyond my own effort. And I hold this truth—you love me. Because You love me, I can trust You. Because You love me, I am not left to carry everything alone. Because You love me, I can release what I cannot control. Jesus, let trust remain. Let my heart stay steady. Let my thoughts be at peace as I place everything into Your hands. I remain in You. Jesús, entrego mi camino y confío en que Tú estás obrando. Jesus Cristo, entrego o meu caminho e confio que Tu estás a agir. From São Paulo to Atlanta, from Nairobi to Paris, across every place holding on tightly, You are present. You are working. You are establishing Your people. So I release. I trust. I rest in You. In Your name, Jesus, I am steady, trusting, and at peace. Welcome And Evening Prayer Focus

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Ralph and Ben Cooper, wherever you are across the world. May the Spirit of the Lord be with you. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. We're in the evening prayer, and the title is coming from the beautiful book of Psalms 37. And this is the title. Jesus, I commit my way to you. I trust you to act as I release control of this day. Father, we are trying to control our lives. Lord, it seems to be an automatic process. Lord, that we live this life, this earth life. Lord, we live on this terra firma, and Lord, we try to control our lives. But Lord, I pray right now that we will not control our lives, but we will live by faith. And we will go in the rhythm of God and we will find that peace. And we will commit every area, every corner, every external area, every hidden area, all of our lives, Lord, we will commit it to you from the battlefield to the boardroom to the field of life. Holy Spirit, we thank you for Psalms 37, verse 5. Commit your ways to the Lord. Trust in Him and He will do this. Father, I'm asking you that you will help us to walk strong and to walk in power and authority in Jesus' name. Lord, in this early evening devotional time, we commit our ways to the Lord. And Lord, I'm not quite sure through this prayer time how I do this. Lord, I guess and I believe it is through the power of speech, which we call prayer. So Lord, right now, Lord, through the power of communication, through the power of language, through the power, dear God, of articulating our feelings and our heart, Lord, I commit my way to you. Lord, I feel worried, so I bring that to you. Lord, I feel a little bit scared, so I bring that to you. Lord, we're worried about finances and we bring that to you. Lord, we're worried about our health. We're worried about our feelings, the mental capacity that we have. Father, we're worried about work, mortgages, life. Father, we bring this to you right now. And Lord, we thank you that we are learning to commit our ways to the Lord. We are going to trust in the Lord with all of our heart. We are not going to lean on our own understanding, but right now, as the psalmist praise, Lord, as the prayers of David, dear God, unfold in our heart right now. Lord, we thank you that Psalm 37, verse 5, is over every one of us. The Bible says, commit your way to the Lord. Trust in him and he will do this. Father, we need you in our lives because Lord, as we look at the social networks, Lord, as we look at the news, Lord, we don't want to indulge in what the world is doing. We don't want to engage in what the world is saying. Lord, we are not going to indulge in what they're saying about the shipping straits. We're not going to indulge what they're saying about the war cry. Lord, the battle just for every day is hard enough. Lord, without locking on to what the world is saying. So right now we come to Jesus Christ through the lovely word of God and Holy Spirit through this evening devotional prayer time together, we commit our way to the Lord. I trust in the Lord and I trust you, Lord God, to act as I release this trouble, this worry, this fear, and this doubt, doubt. Lord, I thank you for Psalms 37, verse 5. The Bible says, commit your ways to the Lord. Trust in him, and he will do this. Father, from the battlefield to the boardroom, to the field of life. Father, as we're on the commute on the way home, Lord, help us to close the laptop on work. Help us to turn the key, dear God, on the yard of life. Father, help us to get out of the ivory towers. Father, Lord, wherever we are, dear God, catch in the bus, catch in the train, in the van, in the car, Lord, from the washing machine to the spin dryer. Dear God, wherever we are right now, as we take the children from club to this club to that club, from scouts to cubs to swimming, to netball, to cricket, to rugby, to the rah-rah-ra of life. Father, in the name of Jesus, wherever we are, Holy Spirit, we come to you right now. And through this evening devotional prayer, wherever we are, just through the circle of the rhythm of our life, Lord, carry us, be with us, but help us commit our ways to you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Father, from London all the way to Paris, from Paris all the way to Tunisia, from Tunisia to Egypt, from Egypt, dear God, to Spain, from Spain, dear God, to Lanzarote, from Lanzarote all the way to Israel. Lord, let there be peace through Jerusalem right now. So from the battlefield to the boredroom, to the field of life. May the Spirit of the Lord carry you, whatever your scenario is, whatever your situation is. Psalm 37, verse 5 is over your life. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust in him, and he will do this. God bless and good evening.
