Psalm 4:8 — Jesus, Quiet My Mind Tonight and Let Your Peace Settle Over Every Restless Place Within Me Recorded live here in London, England Manaus • Coimbra • Benguela • Beira • Toronto noite tranquila • descanso suave • cura interior • paz renovada quiet night • gentle rest • inner healing • renewed peace Psalm 4:8 (NIV) “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Matthew 11:28 (NIV) “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Jesus, as this night deepens and the world around me becomes subdued, I come to You with every anxious thought that lingers in the quiet. The day has spoken loudly; now I ask You to speak louder still — with noite tranquila, the quiet night You promise to those who rest in Your presence. Some thoughts rise uninvited, some memories replay, and some emotions settle in ways I did not expect. But You draw near with descanso suave, gentle rest, calming the places inside me that feel unsettled and heavy. Your voice speaks softly, reminding me that I am safe in You, held by You, protected by You. Jesus, bring cura interior, inner healing, to every tired place in my heart. Heal the strain that sits beneath the surface. Ease the tension I have carried through the evening. Restore what today has weakened. Lift the weight of what I cannot resolve tonight, and hold my spirit steady in Your presence. Where rest feels distant, bring it close. Where my mind spins, quiet it. Where fear whispers, silence it with truth. And where I feel alone, let paz renovada, renewed peace, flow through me like the gentlest covering, settling every restless thought. Jesus, teach me to lie down in confidence, not confusion. Teach me to sleep under Your protection, not under worry. Let Your peace anchor my breathing, my thoughts, my emotions, and my night. As I close this day, surround me with the calm only You can give. Let Your presence define my rest and prepare me for the dawn to come. Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, love, hope, and strength. Whatever your worries are, whatever your trials are, whatever war zone of life you're in right now, we're praying for the love of God and the spirit of the living God. And we are in Psalms 4, verse 8. And the title of this prayer is Jesus. Quietten my mind tonight and let your peace settle over every restless place within me. I want to say thank you to everybody on RB Christian Radio, everybody in the archives of these podcasts, and for those that are sowing a seed of prayer into this ministry, and those that are sowing a seed, a financial seed just for three pounds a month. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, we pray that we won't lock on to the rhythm of the world. But Father, Lord, that we will hear the voice of heaven, we will hear the rhythm of heaven. Lord, it's been a long day. We're weary, we're tired, we're exhausted. We got battle fatigue. Father, we're tired. Lord, we've been exhausted of the news about the war. Father, we're tired of hearing about missiles, aircraft, the political language. Lord, we've had enough. Lord, we need the rhythm of God. And right now we pray that we will only hear the Lion of Judah. Lord, we need inner peace. We need gentle rest. Lord, as the clock starts to tick live here in London, England, Father, as it is just one minute past ten, we pray for the love of God and the Spirit of God. Lord, you tell us through Matthew chapter 11, 28, come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Father, we need rest right now. And whatever the hour is, whatever the time zone is, whatever the rhythm is of our life, we pray for peace, we pray for mercy, we pray for favor. Lord God, I thank you that there is favor over our lives. Lord, bring that gentle rhythm of heaven from the four corners of the world, all the way from here, live in London, England, to Mexico, Toronto, Canada, East Dan Ball, right away, dear God, through the Americas, right away through Brazil, Chile. We are praying for love, mercy, and safety. But right now, Lord, you're telling us at this hour, come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and you will give us rest. Lord, we need rest. Holy Spirit, our mind is a wash of the fear of the future. Holy Spirit, we thank you that there is certain hope, that there is a rhythm, and that rhythm is the bread of life. Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life. I pray right now that we will find eternal rest, that we will find eternal peace. Lord, whatever the rhythm is, whatever the nature is, whatever the hour is, from the battlefield to the boardroom, to the field of life. Holy Spirit, Lord, if we're at home right now and we can't rest. If we're in the traffic jam of life and we can't rest, Lord, if we're at work right now, as the sun rises, as the sun sets on our life. Father, as the rain falls as the snow falls, as the sun rises, as the birds are in the air, in the heavens above, as the fish swim in the seas beneath. The Spirit of the Lord is with each and every one of us. It's not church we need. It's not me that you need. It's not government, it's not the sound of social media. It is Jesus Christ, the author, the perfecter of our faith. Let's get in the rhythm of God. But Jesus, quiet my mind tonight and let peace settle over every restless place within me. The Spirit of the Lord is over you. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. Don't go too far. I'll catch you at the next prayer.
