Colossians 3:15 — Prayer for Peace in the Home, Family Tension, Emotional Strain and Relationship Stability During December —  “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.” Proverbs 15:1 — “A gentle answer turns away wrath.”

PRAYER  Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift before You every home represented by every listener tonight. Lord, You see the pressure December brings — the expectations, the exhaustion, the financial strain, the crowded schedules, the misunderstandings, the tension that rises easily, and the emotional tiredness that sits under the surface. Jesus, we ask right now for peace to rule in our homes. Let Your calm settle over each room. Bring gentleness into conversations. Bring patience into moments of frustration. Bring compassion where emotions feel stretched thin. Heal relationships strained by stress. Heal silence that has grown heavy. Heal arguments that linger in the atmosphere. Lord, we pray for families navigating grief, blended family dynamics, strained marriages, sibling tension, and the weight of the empty chair at Christmas. Bring unity where there is division. Bring hope where there is disappointment. Fill homes with the fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, kindness, self-control. From London to Manila, from New York to Accra, from Copenhagen to Melbourne — let the global church experience peace in the home tonight. Jesus, become the centre of every household. Become the Prince of Peace over every conversation, every gathering, and every moment of this season. Amen. SEVEN PRAYER POINTS

SPEAKER_00:

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of prayer, faith, hope, and strength in the mighty name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Dear God, in the name of Jesus, we come before you, Lord, and we align our lives with the cross. And Lord, wherever we are gathering right now, Lord, there is so much pressure, family pressure, tension, dear God. We need, Lord, this strain to be lifted off during this month of December. Holy Spirit, I ask you, dear God, that you will touch families across the world. Lord, as we record this live here in London, England, tonight we gather as families across the world. Lord, are looking for peace, unity, emotional stability during this demanding season of December. Holy Spirit, we thank you for the beautiful book of Colossians 3, verse 15. We are praying for peace. We're praying for tension to go, emotional strain, and relationship stability in Jesus' name. Father, let peace, let the peace of God rule in our hearts. Lord, you tell us through the book of Colossians 3, verse 15, let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. Father, as we gather around the table, Lord, as we see family members, friends that we haven't seen for a long time, Father, we pray, Lord, for peace. Lord, through this season, through this month of December, Lord, this is a highly scary month, and we need love and we need peace and we need help in the name of Jesus. But Lord, we believe in Proverbs 15, verse 1. And a gentle answer turns away rough. Lord, I want to drink this scripture in a minute. Lord, I haven't read this, I haven't prayed this for such a long time. Lord, this has almost disappeared out of my understanding. But Lord, I love the book of Proverbs 15, 1. Lord, I want to drink this in. Lord, I want you to saturate all of us with this scripture now. So Lord, as I read Proverbs 15, verse 1, a gentle answer turns away rough. Lord, we don't only want to use this for December, we want to use it for 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year. Lord, we want to be gentle in our answer. Lord, we don't want to be fiery and angry. Lord, we want to be calm and steadfast in the word of God. So Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, we live before you every home that represents believers under my voice today. And we ask you, dear God, whatever their life looks like, we pray that you will lift the pressure because Lord, December feels like a volcano. Lord, we are waiting for the eruptions, Lord God, the expectations, the exhaustion, the financial strain, dear God, the crowded schedule, Lord. We're jumping from one to two to three to four, back to one. Lord, the misunderstandings, the tension. Father God, we ask you right now, Lord, that tension will go. And Lord, we pray that peace will come out of our mouths, and out of our mouth shall flow rivers of living water. Lord, the emotional tiredness, Lord, that sits under and behind every surface of life. We are praying for breakthrough in the name of Jesus. Lord, we need your love, we need your mercy. And wherever we are, from London to Manila, from New York, dear God, to Auckland, from Auckland to Copenhagen, from Copenhagen all the way through to Melbourne. Lord, we are praying for such an outpouring of your love, your mercy, your goodness, strengthen every household. Father, we pray that we will be a beacon of peace, that each and every one of us will let our light shine. And today, where families are trying to navigate grief, Lord, blended families with dynamics that are going on, strained marriages, sibling tensions, and the weight of the empty chair at Christmas. Father, wherever we are, Holy Spirit, we pray that the lion of Judah will give us hope and not disappointment. Father, fill every home with the fruit of the Spirit. Love, joy, peace, kindness, self-control. But Father, we pray for every listener wherever they are scattered across the world. Lord, we humble ourselves and we come to the cross of Calvary and we lift up the name of Jesus, Spirit of the living God, have your way we pray. Lord, we worship you, we adore you, and we thank you for the hand of God. Bless us from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet. We love you, Jesus. Pour out your spirit over every heart right now. Thank you for joining us through these prayers. Thank you for staying with us. Even though I get tired and I stumble and I slip, my voice, I forget a word, I say it backwards, forwards, inside out. Thank you for staying with us.
