Psalm 4:8 — Night Prayer for Insomnia, Fear, Midnight Anxiety and Rest in the Presence of God —  “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” John 14:27 — “My peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift before You every listener lying awake tonight. Every anxious heart, every restless mind, every weary soul that cannot switch off. Lord, You know the nights where thoughts race, worries grow louder, and sleep feels unreachable. You see the fear of the dark hours, the dread of being alone with thoughts, the heaviness of December emotional strain, and the fatigue that sits deep within the bones. Lord, we speak Your peace right now into the midnight hour. Silence the internal storms. Shut down the noise in the mind. Bring calm to the breath, stillness to the heart, stability to the emotions. Let Your presence fill bedrooms, hospital rooms, living rooms, cars, workplaces — wherever the night finds Your people. We pray for those waking repeatedly. Those gripped by fear. Those scrolling endlessly because the mind won’t rest. Those carrying financial pressure, family strain, grief, health fear, or spiritual battles that erupt at night. Father, wrap them in Your peace. Lord, break the power of night tremors, anxiety surges, and sudden fear. Restore the sleep cycle. Let deep, uninterrupted rest come tonight. From London to Dubai, from Lagos to Vancouver, from New York to Auckland — cover Your people with supernatural peace. Jesus, You are the Shepherd who watches through the night. Let Your peace rest upon every listener now. Amen.

SPEAKER_00:

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of prayer, hope, and strength in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Brothers and sisters, we are straight in, no delay, no hesitation, straight into prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you and we love the name of Jesus. And today, Lord, we're praying against dear God so many things, but Lord, we just want to home in. Today, Lord, we just want to concentrate, we want to lock into the Word of God. And I ask you, dear God, in the mighty name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, that the Lion of Judah, as we pray through Psalms 4, verse 8, Lord, we're praying for night, dear God. We're praying for this night for any one of us that has got insomnia, fear, midnight anxiety, and rest, Lord. We've got to get rest and we've got to rest in the presence of God. And Lord, we ask you, Father, for those that can't sleep, for those, dear God, that are just not able to shut their eyes because of fear and panic and anxiety at the midnight hour at the early door of the day, in the middle of the early morning call, Spirit of the living God. We need to sleep. We're tired, Father, and we can't sleep. Lord, we need the hand of God and we need the love of Jesus over the listeners. And wherever the listeners are, we pray right now, Lord, Father, from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the ice ring of life. Father, as we skate across the ice rink of life, Lord, the ice of life, Lord, it is so thin. Lord, we are scared as we skate across the ice of life. And we need an outpouring of the spirit of the living God. But those that can't sleep, those, dear God, that are fearful of night tremors, those, dear God, that are worried about going to bed, those, dear God, that can't go to bed because they are worried about tomorrow. Father, you tell us do not worry about tomorrow. For today has enough drama of itself. And Lord, we got to hold on to that. But Lord, we pray right the way through Psalms 4, verse 8. In peace, I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Lord, I love this scripture. Lord, I thank you for this word because this beautiful book of Psalms 4.8. Lord, I thank you that it keeps rising. Lord, I thank you that it keeps us lifting. But right now, in peace, Lord, we're gonna lie down. Lord, right now, Lord, we're gonna try to go to bed and we're gonna try to rest and we're gonna try and be still. But Lord, we're praying, Father, as we lie down and sleep for you alone, Lord. Make me. Father, I thank you that you bring this so personal, you bring this so close to each and every one of us. Make me make us dwell in safety. Lord, we got to dwell in safety because Lord, the nighttime tremors, the fears, the doubts, the worries, the uncertainty, the worry about tomorrow. Father, wherever we are, from the battlefield to the boardroom, Holy Spirit, we need you in our lives. Lord, as the night tremors come, Father, anxiety surges, sudden fear, Lord, restore this sleep cycle of ours. Lord, I ask that let us sleep deep today. Let us sleep well tonight. Holy Spirit, come and restore us, Father, wherever we are, from London to Dubai, from Dubai to Lagos, Vancouver, New York, Auckland. We need a supernatural intervention of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We need such an outpouring of God. We're praying for those that are unable to sleep. We're praying for calm over racing thoughts. We're praying for relief at the night hour. Lord, through this season, through this crazy season of December, commercialization, Spirit of the Living God, protect our thoughts, heal our hearts. Lord, for those minds that are racing right now, I haven't got enough. Lord, let them rest in peace today, wherever they are gathering. But tonight I will sleep in peace. Tonight I will rest in the name of Jesus. But Lord, we hold on to the Gospel of John 14, 27. My peace I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Sister and brother, wherever you are scattered across the world, whatever your culture, your language, wherever you are birthed, the Spirit of the Lord is over your lives. And Jesus is saying this to you right now. John 14, 27, my peace I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Father, I thank you for this prayer. Bless us we pray from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet. May the love of Jesus Christ be with you. Never give up until tomorrow.
