2 Corinthians 5 : 17 — Dawn Prayer for Identity and New Life in Jesus Christ

5 A.M. Release — Recorded live here in London, England — from London to Kuala Lumpur, from Kuala Lumpur to Nairobi, from Nairobi to Toronto — as a new day dawns, we remember who we are in Jesus Christ: redeemed, renewed, restored.

Scripture (NIV)

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5 : 17 (NIV)

Show Notes

Around the world, people search “who am I in Christ,” “prayer for new beginnings,” and “Jesus give me purpose.” The longing for identity is one of the deepest human cries. This verse declares that through Jesus Christ, the search is over — we are made new.

From London to Kuala Lumpur, Nairobi to Toronto, believers wake to this truth: your value is not defined by failure or fear but by the finished work of Christ. The old labels no longer hold. The guilt, shame, and past mistakes have been nailed to the cross. In Jesus Christ, the new has begun.

This morning we pray for renewed identity, restored confidence, and the boldness to live as new creations in the love of Christ.

And also, wherever you are across the world, send us an email into infotdailyprayer.uk and let us know where you are in the world and ask us to pray for whatever nation you want or any personal stuff. We pray for that, and obviously it keeps under the table that sort of stuff. But if you want your nation prayed for, we will bring it to the table. Father, in the name of Jesus, we believe as we are in the book of 2 Corinthians chapter 5, verse 17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he or they are a new creation. The old is gone, the new has come. Father, we believe that we are in a new position. Lord, we need to find our identity today. And Lord, wherever we are situated, whatever our time zone is, dear God, from the battlefield to the boardroom, Lord, from the classroom, dear God, to the garage, Lord, wherever we are on the school run. Lord, will you bless our lives? Because Lord, over the years we have lost our identity to family, to friends, to world, to culture, to the system of church. Lord and Father, we have lost ourselves in the world. And Lord, we need help, dear God. And I pray for anyone, Lord, that feels like a prodigal, dear God, that has left the Father's house. And Lord, I pray that we will get back to the Father's house. Lord, that we will make our way back to the house of the Lord. Father, that you see us coming back, Lord. Father, I thank you for the listeners today. I believe, dear God, the old is gone, the new has come, and you are blessing their lives wherever they are right the way now, dear God. Holy Spirit, Lord, I ask you, dear God, that you will touch hearts today, Lord, from every island that is out there, from Hawaii, dear God, to East Dan Bull, from East Dan Bull to Switzerland, from Switzerland, dear God, to Jersey. Lord, touch lives today. Let there be breakthrough, dear God, around the world, every tongue, every tribe. Father, we need redemption today. Lord, as the dawn starts to lift, as the sun starts to rise, as the sun, dear God, in the scorching day that it is, as the sun starts to set, Lord, remind us who we are in Christ Jesus. Remind us who we are. Lord, help us to find that place of peace. Because Lord, who am I in Christ? Lord, the prayer for new beginnings, Lord, Jesus, give me purpose. Lord, I pray for these free areas. Who am I in Christ? The prayer for new beginnings and Jesus, give me my purpose. Lord, I pray for every one of us that has lost our purpose. I pray, Father, that you will open up the way, close the doors of the past. Lord, I thank you, Father, as the human beings, the brothers and sisters, we cry out, Lord. Lord, the prayer for new beginnings. Lord, who am I in Christ? Lord, shape us, mould us, keep us in the Father's arms today. Lord, we thank you that old labels are no longer holding. We thank you that the guilt, the shame, the past mistakes are gone. They have been now to the cross of Calvary in Christ Jesus. And today is a new beginning. Today is a new day. And at this hour, Lord, we want our identity renewed. We want restored confidence. We want boldness in the name of Jesus Christ to live as new creations in the love of Christ. So today, wherever we are situated across the world, help us to find our identity today, God. Help us to find that place, Lord, that place where we rest, where guilt has gone, shame has gone. Father, where we've broken, dear God, and we've lost ourselves. Give us the courage to live as a child of the living God. We want to tell the world around us. Lord, I want to tell the listeners, Lord, that they are blessed and highly favored, that they are found in the Word of God. And Lord, I pray that they will know that they got a purpose in their life. Bless them from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet. Father, I ask you that you will cover us in the blood of Jesus. Keep us all strong, Lord, and may the Spirit of the Lord be over you. My name is Reverend Ben Cooper. Until tomorrow.
