Hebrews 13:3 — Global Prayer for the Persecuted and Underground Church Standing Firm in Faith Under Fire

9 A.M. Release — Recorded live here in London, England — from London to Beijing, from Beijing to Tehran, from Tehran to Mogadishu — lifting a unified global prayer for believers who worship in secret, suffer in silence, and stand in courage where Christianity is outlawed.

Scripture (NIV)
“Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.” — Hebrews 13:3 (NIV)

Show Notes
While many believers gather freely, millions around the world worship in hidden rooms, whisper their prayers, pass Bibles in secret, and risk arrest, violence, or death for following Jesus. The persecuted church is not a story from history — it is happening now.

From London to Beijing, from Tehran to Mogadishu, faith is burning in places where Bibles are banned, churches are destroyed, and Christians are imprisoned for refusing to deny Christ. These believers are not asking for escape — they are asking for endurance, courage, and strength to stand firm under pressure.

When one part of the body suffers, we do not scroll past — we pray, we remember, we carry them in intercession. The underground church is not weak — it is the purest form of discipleship on Earth.

Thank you for standing with this prayer family as we gather momentum across the world at this hour, whatever the time is. This is our morning prayer. This is our morning devotional. This is our morning with each other as we lock shields across continents and nations, cities and towns, tribes wherever we are, we belong to the name of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13, verse 3. This is a global prayer for the persecuted church, the underground church as it stands firm. This is Faith Under Fire with Reverend Ben Cooper. Father, we come to you right now, and as we record this live in London, England, we pray, dear God, for the underground church, the secret church. Father God, as they are looking for Bibles, as they worship in secret, Lord, as they whisper the Spirit of the Living God into their communities. Father, we believe right away now, from Tehran all the way through to Afghanistan, all the way from Afghanistan, all the way to Israel. From Israel, we thank you, Jesus Christ, that South Korea, North Korea is saved and bloodwashed in the name of Jesus. All the way through to Singapore, China, we thank you right now in the name of Jesus. Lord, we pray for Egypt. We pray for calm in Egypt, that Egypt will know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Lord, as the suffering church, we lift it up as the global prayer family today. We lift up the persecuted church as they worship in secret, suffer in silence, and they stand in courage where Christians are out, Lord. Father, we pray for every nation and we also bring India before you, Lord, as it's going through the crisis that it's going through at this moment in time. Father, we pray for North and South Nigeria. We pray, dear God, for the areas of the atrocities what's happening to the secret believers. Lord, we pray for the persecuted church. Father, we thank you where we can gather freely. Millions around the world are hiding in hidden rooms, whispering their prayers, passing Bibles in secret, and risking arrest, violence or death for following Jesus Christ. Father, we lift up the persecuted church. And this is not a story of history. This is happening right now. And Lord, we pray for the believers, dear God, as they duck the bullet fire, as they run their guard from terrorism, as they run as churches are being destroyed, as Bibles are banned, and as Christians are being imprisoned for refusing to deny Christ. Father, what a call they have over their lives. And we bring these believers before you right now, and we pray that the fire of God will carry them to endure, give them courage, give them strength to stand when their faith is under fire. Lord, we belong to the body that is suffering. But Lord, we ask you right now that we will not scroll through past this, but we will pray. And we will pray for the underground church as they worship in secret and as they worship in silence. We pray, dear God, for the secret church that you will bless the secret church, that you will remind the secret church, Lord, that there are intercessory prayers going out for them right now. Lord, we believe that the underground church is not weak, but Lord, it is being pursued and it is pursuing the word of God. We believe that the persecuted church is rising. We pray for the persecuted Christians in hostile nations. We're praying for the underground house churches to remain strong. We're praying for believers in prison for their faith. We're praying for courage for Christians to face that death threat in the name of Jesus. We pray for the secret disciples that are following Jesus Christ in different nations around the world. But Lord, we also pray for martyrs that have gone missing, dear God, through missionary work. We're praying for revival, keep, dear God, the gospel moving. Father, we believe in miracles and we make a life application now. It is your faith, Lord God. I pray, brother and sister, that freedom will fall on your lives. We declare as we stand in unity for the persecuted church, wherever they are, give them courage. But Lord, we call this to action now. Share this global prayer for the persecuted church. Support this listener funded ministry at dailyprayer.uk. And thank you for praying with us. Let's stand together with the global church in Jesus' name. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. Until tomorrow.
