Ephesians 6 : 16 — Prayer for Faith, Courage, and Protection in Life’s Battles

7 P.M. Release — Recorded live here in London, England with Reverend Ben Cooper — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and hope.

Scripture (NIV)

“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” — Ephesians 6 : 16 (NIV)

Show Notes

Faith is more than belief—it’s defence. Ephesians 6 : 16 reminds us that trust in God becomes a shield strong enough to stop every fiery arrow of fear, doubt, or despair. Prayer lifts that shield each day and holds it steady when the world grows heavy.

From London to Madrid, from Lagos to Vancouver, believers raise prayers for courage and endurance. The storms of life may come, but faith absorbs the impact and keeps the heart secure. When fear whispers that you are alone, faith declares that God is near and victory is still possible.

Let this evening prayer renew your confidence. Lift your shield. Let faith guard your mind, steady your emotions, and lead you safely through the battle.

SPEAKER_00:

Thank you for joining us today on our daily Christian prayer podcast with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope. I actually believe right now, as you're hearing my voice, I believe God is drawing you. You're going through the biggest spiritual battle of your life. You're weary, you're tired, you're worried about your health, you're worried about finances, you're worried about your relationship, your marriage, your life, your home, your career, your business, ministry. I actually believe God is calling you right now. Let's just take these moments, let's just take these moments to call on Jesus. Because it can only be Jesus Christ. I believe God is drawing you back to the Word of God. I actually believe that with all my heart. If you need any help, if you need any prayer, please find us on infodailyprayer.uk. Hit us up on the email account. I will say it again, it's info at dailyprayer.uk. You know, send us an email in and we'll pray for you and uh we'll respond back to you as quick as we possibly can. But I've got to encourage you right now, I really feel this on my heart at this hour, that God is calling you right now and God is telling you, do not be afraid. Do not be afraid, you know. Take up the word of God. Keep praying, keep praying, you know. Never give up in your prayer life. You know, God is walking with you, and you are walking with God. You are born again and you are covered in the blood of Jesus. So let's get straight in. We're in the book of Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 16. Father, we pray for faith right now and courage, we pray for protection in life's battles. Lord, we're all weary, we're all tired, Jesus. And this is what the book of Ephesians 6, verse 16 says. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, which you can extinguish, all the flaming arrows from the evil one. Father Lord, I feel like a dart vault. Lord, there are more arrows being fired at me than Lord God in a darts championship. Father Lord, we feel the penetration of darts and arrows and text. Lord, they're cutting deep at this moment in time. I pray, dear God, that we will not put our self-worth and our hope on social media. I pray, dear God, that we will extract ourselves and we will remove ourselves from social media and we will spend this time praying and seeking the Father's heart. That we won't look for validation on the social networks. We won't look for the next quick five-minute fix, the quick moment, the quick section of life, but we will stand in the word of God and we will build our life on the word. And Lord, I pray, Father, for those that are crying at this moment in time, those that feel really bruised and battered, those that are really going through the spiritual arena with the chaos that is breaking out in their life. I pray that faith will rise and their belief in God will rise today. Lord, I pray that they will trust in you like never before, Lord, that that the shield will be their strength, that the word will be the weapon of warfare. Lord, that they will draw on the power of the Holy Spirit. I pray, Father, for every arrow that is fired, that God will grab that arrow in the air and snap it into. I pray, Father, God, for those that just feel that they've been punctured on every part of their body, that they feel that arrows are penetrating their skin, that they're fire uh worried about putting their head above the parapet because they're worried about the gunfire. Lord, the friendly gunfire. Holy Spirit, how many people are killed in the battlefield with friendly gunfire, spirit of the living God? It's not always the enemy that kills us, it's not always those, Father God, that are up against us. It's that friendly fire. Oh my god, that might come from family, that might come from friends, that might come from pastors and churches over time, the friendly bullet of destruction, the friendly bullet of penetration in the skin, the friendly bullet of doubt, the friendly bullet, dear God, friendly fire. Oh my God, help us, Jesus. Oh my God, I pray that we won't absorb all the worries and the fears, but Lord God, that we will walk in your faithfulness. Lord, when the storms come, when the storms rise, I pray that we will rise, dear God, above the cloud line of the problem. Lord, that they won't impact our lives. Father, that these arrows won't penetrate us. That skin, Lord, we pray that there will be a cloak around us, a cloak of fiery hedge right now. I ask you that we will have strength in hard times, courage to face daily challenges, protection from fear and discouragement, wisdom to trust in God's promises, endurance when life feels heavy. Hope in troubled days. Holy Spirit, we need you like never before. We need you in our lives, Father. We need the glory, the power, the anointing of God. I ask you right now that we will walk in the full armor. And Lord God, that we will not allow friendly fire to take us out. Lord, I pray, Luke, dear God, that you will hold those arrows from neighbors, the arrows that come through through text, emails, bullying, social media. Lord, we need a shield around each and every one of us. God, we need your power. You've got to surround us. We need peace and protection. Protect the listeners today. Lord, I pray for the listeners, Spirit of the Living God, be with them. Oh my God, please touch their hearts today. Give them courage. Protect them in life's battles. Help them, Father God, to keep moving, not to allow the friendly fire to destroy them, to take them out. Spirit of the Living God, wherever the listeners are, I pray for the book of Ephesians 6, verse 16. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Father, I ask you, God, that they will take up the shield of faith. Father, we will put the shield of faith up today, and that friendly fire, that fire that comes from the family, the wife, the husband, the brother, the sister, the children, the work colleagues, the social media friends, the friendly fire. Be careful of the friendly fire, brother and sister, wherever you are. May God carry you today. I actually believe that we are in the biggest battles of our lives, because we're at the end of days, and we gotta pray like never before. We've got to be careful of the enemy's arrows, and we gotta be careful of those that are close to us. Be careful of the enemy and watch out the friendly fire. Don't catch you off guard. Lord, bless the listeners, cover them in the blood of Jesus, keep them away from fear, and wherever they are, from London to Madrid, Lagos to Vancouver, bless them in Jesus' name. Amen. Until tomorrow.
