Recorded live here in London, England — Reverend Ben Cooper declares Christ’s promise of peace that defies fear and anchors believers worldwide in divine calm.

Show Notes

In John 14:27, Jesus speaks a farewell gift that outlasts every storm — His peace. It is not temporary relief but a permanent presence. Reverend Ben Cooper reminds listeners that worldly peace depends on circumstance, but Christ’s peace depends on relationship. This episode invites believers to live unshaken, guarded by the calm of Heaven.

In a troubled age, Jesus’ command still echoes: “Do not let your heart be troubled.” Through prayer, the Holy Spirit translates that command into comfort. From London to Lagos, from Seoul to São Paulo, this promise is unchanged — His peace remains for every believer who receives it by faith.

SPEAKER_00:

Thank you for joining us today on our daily Christian prayer podcast with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England. For our five-minute time of prayer, this will bring encouragement, peace, and biblical truth into everyday life situation. If you can support us by£3 a month and via buy us a coffee, that will be absolutely beautiful. Can you keep praying for us, please? Keep your prayers as we pray for you, you pray for us as we stand together on the gospel of hope. Without further ado, we're gonna jump straight in to the word of God and we're gonna go to John 14, verse 27. Do you need peace? This is a global cry at this moment in time. You know, many of us are anxious, many of us are tired, many of us are weary, you know, balancing so many areas of life on so many sticks. You know, I pray that you will find calm and rest for your lives, that the Holy Spirit will lead you, and you will find the divinity, the power of God, his grace, his mercy, his love right now. But without further ado, we're going to go to the Gospel of John, chapter 14, verse 27. Peace I leave with you. The prayers of Jesus. These are beautiful. The Gospel of John, if you're in trouble, read this gospel. Let's read this. Look, I've just started reading it, but it is so beautiful. I want you to feel the presence of God in your life. Do not worry about your circumstances, do not worry about your relationships. Just hand it over and keep handing it over. Keep the rhythm going, brother. Keep the rhythm going, sister. John 14, verse 27. It says, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Father, we cannot be afraid anymore. We cannot be troubled. We come to you, Lord, right now with an open heart. And Lord, the world is scary, and we need peace. We want the peace that you give us. We want to find the rest and the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, as we recall this from this studio, live here in London, England, I declare, Lord, that the promises of God are over my brothers and sisters on the other side, dear God, of this mic. Lord, that fear goes. Lord, I thank you that peace is abounding in their heart. Lord, we believe in the Gospel of John 14, 27, that Jesus Christ is telling us right now that God has given us through Christ a farewell gift, Lord, through every storm and every storm we're going to find peace. And Lord, we thank you for the gift of salvation. Lord, we thank you, Lord, that this is not temporary relief, but it's a permanent presence of the Holy Spirit. Lord, will you remind us of your faithfulness? Will you remind us of your love? Lord, we are dependent on our God. We need our King and we need our Savior. We need Christ's peace, Lord, in every area of our lives. And as we walk in the gospel of hope, Lord, we believe in miracles. So today, Lord, as we stand at the cross of Calvary, Lord, we thank you that the Word of God is unshakable. Lord, as we guard our hearts, Lord, and our minds in Christ Jesus, will you strengthen us today, Lord? If anyone is in trouble, if anyone is weary, Lord, we pray that we will hear the echo of the word of God down the corridor of our life. Lord, you tell us, do not let your hearts be troubled. But through prayer, through the power of the Holy Spirit, through trust, Lord, through the commands of God, we want to thank you, Lord, that right now, in the name of Jesus, the promises are unchangeable. Now, God, as we come to you, Spirit of the living God, we need to receive this peace today. We need to receive it now, Jesus, in the stillness of life. Lord, we need to reject this anxiety and fear. We need calm in family conflicts. We need to hear the echo of God in the chaos of life. Lord, all the hearts that are troubled by news and nations and the worries and the fears, all the hearts that are troubled. We need the Holy Spirit to guard our minds. Lord, we want to walk in peace. We want to be known as peacemakers. We want to feel the love of Jesus in our lives. We want to find rest in Jesus Christ. Lord, the ultimate walk for us is to follow Jesus. And we need to make a life application as we sit in the stillness. Father, each morning we declare this scripture, John 14, 27. When trouble knocks, we answer with the word of God. We need, Lord, when trouble knocks at the front door of life, Lord, we thank you that the answer is yes and amen. That Christ's peace will guard us, that the love of God will carry us. Lord, that we are filled when trouble comes around the corner. We will not let our hearts be troubled. Father, we believe in peace. Lord, you tell us through the Gospel of John 14, 27, that peace you leave with us. Lord, that you will not give us as the world gives. But Lord, you tell us, and I ask the listeners now, sister and brother, do not let your hearts be troubled. Do not be afraid. Lord, we cannot carry this drumbeat of fear. We need to hear the whisper of God. We want the heartbeat of heaven. We want to hear the word, Lord, ricocheting down our bones. We want to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. We need our God and our King. Lord, let today be a day. Let today be a day where we rejoice and be glad. So, Father, wherever the listeners are, will you carry them today? Will you let the love of Christ rest over each and every one of them? Thank you for joining me, brother and sister. May the Lord bless you and keep you. And never give up. The Spirit of the Lord is over you. You know, I thank God for your life. I believe in miracles. I believe God is working in your life. I believe the Holy Spirit is leading you to new beginnings. Don't give up and don't give in. Until tomorrow.
