thank you for joining us on our daily christian prayer podcast with myself. Reverend ben cooper, recorded live here in london, england, for your quick-fired five minutes time of prayer, renewal, encouragement and peace that runs along with the biblical truth. May god bless you and carry you in the mighty name of jesus. May the Holy Spirit fill you today, wherever you are across the world. We're going to dive straight into the Gospel of John, chapter 6, verse 35. If you can grab yourself a Bible, if you're on the run and I don't mean from the law, I mean if you're on the run wherever you are at this moment in time what I mean by that is if you're running down the shops, if you're jumping in your car, you're listening to this quick-fired five-minute prayer. Come on, let's get moving. So, as we are on the run of life, come on, let's pray wherever you are. May the spirit of the living God be over to you. Today we are in John 6, verse 35, and it says then Jesus declared I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. Sister and brother, the spirit of the Lord is over you today. We thank you for sharing everything that we do here. May God strengthen you and carry you. But we need more. We need more than what this world can offer us. We need more than what this situation of life can offer us. We need Jesus. Where do we find this? Come on, let's get straight into prayer. Father, in the name of Jesus, we need you right now, lord. We need this.
Speaker 0:John 6, verse 35. Lord, we need Jesus because you are the bread of life and we are hungry right now. So, lord, we are spiritually hungry for God's word. Lord, I didn't realize what I was hungry for, lord. I was trying to find fulfillment, lord, in my heart, in the world, lord, I was trying to find fulfillment in the situations around me when, lord, I wasn't seeking the Father's heart. So, lord, I was trying to find fulfillment in the situations around me when, lord, I wasn't seeking the Father's heart. So, lord, I want to thank you, now that you are the bread of life, that you are Lord, and you will sustain me right now.
Speaker 0:In the name of Jesus, lord, I thank you that Christ says through the Gospel of John 6, verse 35,. Jesus declares I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. Lord, I can't go hungry anymore. Lord, I've been feeding myself from the world and, lord, I haven't been living right, I haven't been walking right, I haven't been thinking right, I haven't been looking right.
Speaker 0:Spirit of the living God, will you sweep the yeast out of our lives? Lord, you are the bread of life and, lord, we come to you and you tell us that man doesn't live on bread alone, but by every word that perceives out of the mouth of God, spirit of the living God, as we search the father's heart today, as we search and ransack the word of God, I pray that we will feel the presence and the love of Jesus Christ. And as we are looking now for spiritual hunger, as we are looking for daily bread, as we come to you for God's provision, as we are looking, lord, for eternal satisfaction in Christ, lord, when we are weak, lord, help us to be strong. So today, lord, through this prayer time, lord, we look to you, we walk with you. We're hungry right now. Lord, we need this John 6, verse 35 in our lives. So, father, we pray that you will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Speaker 0:Lord, we pray for spiritual hunger, for God's word. We pray for our daily bread in God's provision. We pray, lord, that you will provide. Lord, that you will make a way where there seems to be no way. Lord, we pray that we will find this satisfaction, lord in Christ, this fulfillment, this eternal calling that we will find. Lord, that we are feeling at peace with ourselves. Lord, help us, lord, as we are searching, as we are looking. Give us strength when feeling spiritually empty. Father, for those that feel empty today, those, lord, that are looking for spiritual fulfillment in the wrong areas of the world, father, we pray that you will guide our paths, lord, that you will guide our feet, that you will guide our vision, you will guide our heart. Spirit of the living God, we pray that we will not look to the world, but we will look to Jesus, because God's daily provision is enough.
Speaker 0:In the name of Jesus, spirit of the living God, I pray, lord, for families to be nourished by the word of God. I pray, lord, for the contentment in Jesus alone. Lord, it is only Jesus. Jesus says I am the way, the truth, the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. So, lord, we got hope and we got the promises of God. So, lord, today will you sustain us in the word? Will you carry us? Lord, you are the bread of life and you are all what we need. You are all that we require. Father, let the Holy Spirit sweep through our hearts today. Let the joy of the Lord be our strength.
Speaker 0:Today, lord, we are looking, lord, for fulfillment through the word of God. Lord, it is time for us to eat. It is time for us to declare the Lord. Help us, lord, as this life application scripture unfolds. Lord, help us to realize that Jesus Christ is the bread of life and he fills me forever. It is the word that sustains me, it is the power of the Holy Spirit that leads me. It is your glory, it is your mercy, it is your favor.
Speaker 0:Spirit of the living God, wherever we are today, will you help us and will you carry us, lord? Will you set the captives free, wherever we are, lord, I thank you for the brothers and sisters, I thank you for the listeners across the world, but as we pray through John 6, verse 35, lord, we thank you that Jesus Christ declares I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to be, will never be hungry. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. Lord, we can't be thirsty. We can't be hungry. Lord, we can't be thirsty, we can't be hungry. Lord, we are in a famine. The nation in which we are in we are in a famine period.
Speaker 0:Spirit of the living God, will you sustain us, father? We thank you, lord, that we've been able to gather for prayer today around the word of God. Lord, as we've locked shields of faith, as we stood together, as we prayed together, lord, as we've believed together that the word of God is the bread of life. Thank you, father, in Jesus' glorious name, amen. May the spirit of the Lord be over you today. Thank you for joining me today. My name is Reverend Ben Cooper. May the Lord strengthen you and bless you and keep you until tomorrow.
