Speaker 0:Without further ado, let's get straight in. This is a big subject and, sorry, this is a big intro for this quick-fired prayer. But this is an enormous subject and it's about burnout. Burnout. Do you feel burnout? Do you feel that you've come to the end of that road? Burnout, let's pray for burnout. Spirit of the living God, we come to you right now and we pray, lord, for the fire of God to descend over each and every one of us, and we thank you for the gospel of Matthew, chapter 11, verse 28. Come to me, all of you that are burdened and weary, and I will give you rest Again, lord, this scripture is coming up, lord. Lord, I've got to come to you today, lord, and I've got to find rest. I need rest in the Father's arms, lord. I've got to rest in this scripture. Lord, I don't want to burn out. Lord, I don't want to hit a point where we burn out.
Speaker 0:We pray for those that feel that they're quite close sorry to the wire, quite close to the edge of burnout. We pray that you will bless those that feel really tired and exhausted with work, with ministry, with children, with marriage, with relationships. We pray for those that are right on the edge of burnout, that they're feeling it in their bones. We pray, lord, for spiritual renewal. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for a fresh awakening for their weary souls. We pray, lord, that the fire of God will burn in our innermost being and we thank you for today's daily devotion. That reflects in Matthew, chapter 11, verse 28 and 30. Jesus, you are the way and you invite us, lord, you invite us to lay our heavy burdens at the foot of Jesus and Lord. Will you help us, lord, to find refreshment? Will you help us to find revival in strength? Oh my Lord, do I need strength today, lord? Do we need strength for the workday, for the weekend, wherever people are listening to this podcast, this quick-fired prayer time? Spirit of the living, god, I pray that you will restore them, restore their bones, lord, restore their health, restore their mental health.
Speaker 0:Lord, I pray for those that are experiencing burnout right now and they're feeling so weary they can't even walk properly. They are so tired, they got brain fog, father. They feel a little bit disillusioned, lord, with what's going on, father. They feel really tired and they can't concentrate. Lord, help them concentrate. Lord, refresh their souls in the name of Jesus.
Speaker 0:Today is the day, lord, we are not going to burn out. Lord. We are not going to burn out, lord. We are not going to run and faint. We are not, dear God, going to be consumed by the weight of the world, because we pray together and we stand together and we believe in the word of God. So, lord, we're praying for strength in exhaustion. We're praying, dear God, for revival and joy in trials and tribulations. We're praying for rest over work overload, for those that have got work overload, for those that are giving more hours than they actually should. Lord. I pray, lord, for those that are working overtime, beyond and above Lord, I pray that you will give them peace in their stressful settings of life. I pray that freedom will come and they will find the love of God.
Speaker 0:Those that are sitting at a desk, those are at work, those, lord, that are really struggling, those are burnt out, those that are laying in bed, those that just can't get up now, that are experiencing extreme tired feelings, father, I pray that the Spirit of God will refresh them. Lord, I thank you that there is hope, hope in the Word of God, and help us to get a balance in our lives. Through the Word of God, lord, I pray that we will find the revival rain. Revival rain. Let it rain over us today. Let the mercy of God rain over us, but, lord, I pray that we will make this a life application. Lord.
Speaker 0:I pray, lord, that we will schedule a few moments a day to be silent and to sit at the desk, in the chair, in the car, in the van, on the curb, on the bench, wherever we are. We will just take five minutes out every couple of hours or so, just to gather our breath. Spirit of the living God, renew us today, strengthen us today, fire us up today. Spirit of the living God, renew us today, strengthen us today, fire us up today. Spirit of the living God, we're not going to burn out. We're not going to burn out because the king is living in us. So give us peace today in the valley of the shadow of death. We thank you, father, for that beautiful book, the beautiful gospel of Matthew. Matthew, chapter 11, verse 28 to 30, may the God that created the heavens and the earth. Strengthen you today. Thank you for joining us. My name is Reverend Ben Cooper. Live here in London, england, until tomorrow.
