thank you for joining me today on a daily christian prayer podcast recorded live here in london, england. My name is reverend ben cooper. It's a privilege to sit in this studio and to pray with you and pray for you and to pray around you and for you to pray with me too. I consider that we lock shields of faith together wherever we are across the world. We are watching the world buckle under so much stress. We are watching the church fold as well. There is so much going on, but you know what? There is power in prayer, and I want to encourage you today. It's not the church you need, it is the power of prayer. It is the word of god. Grab yourself a bible. If you need a bible, we will get you a bible. Wherever you are across the world. You just tell us where you live, give us your zip code, your postcode, your address, and we will get you a Bible. Find us on rbchristianradionet and request that Bible. We will get you a Bible. This is what we do. We are a prayer ministry and we are a ministry that gives out. We are a radio ministry and we are a podcasting ministry. Yes, we are in a church. Yes, I do lead a church, but, brother and sister, you are part of this church because we are a church without walls. Without further ado, if you can, please leave us a review. It is critical that we get these reviews. And also, if you can support this ministry just three pound a month, that would be absolutely amazing. Buy me a coffee, hit that. Hit that show note and look at those show notes notes. It's critical that you read those show notes through without further ado. We got to get in. We're in matthew 11, 11, 28 to 30.

This is a beautiful title and it's about come to me, rest for the weary, peace for the afflicted. Are you feeling burdened today? We're going right into this book right now and I'm going to read what it says straight out of the niv. Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon thee and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. My yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Speaker 0:

Father, this is a big scripture today. So, lord, we take our time and, lord, we ask you that you will strengthen us and today's prayer, lord, lord, that give us today our daily bread that we will find rest and peace. Lord, I pray today for the listeners that you will bring rest to their hearts. Today, lord, I thank you that your word, lord, is intervening, your word, lord, is carrying us. Your word, father, is giving us rest.

Speaker 0:

Lord, we pray for the weary. We pray for those that just feel weary and tired. And, lord, we pray for those that just feel weary and tired. And, lord, we pray for those that just feeling anxious, for those that feel that they're on a knife's edge at this moment, that they feel very edgy, that they're not sure what's happening. I pray, lord, for renewal in Christ.

Speaker 0:

Today, lord, I pray, lord, we pray, dear God, for relief from burdens, calm in stress, joy in his presence, surrender of my worries, oh Jesus, help me, lord, through this prayer time. Help me to surrender my worries, help me to surrender all these foxes and this noise I've got nipping at my ankles, just these barking dogs, this historical stuff. Take it, take the worries, take the fears, take the doubt. Lord and Father, I pray for gentleness today, lord. I pray, lord, that we will find the gentleness and the beautiful presence of the Holy Spirit and we'll find rest for our souls. Help me to make this a real-life application for my life. Lord, help me to shout aloud Matthew 11, 28.

Speaker 0:

Lord, I surrender, I surrender the burdens to Christ and I trust in you today. So, father, I surrender, I surrender the burdens to Christ and I trust in you today. So, father, I thank you for your word and I ask in you, lord, from the bottom of my heart, that you will bring peace. You're telling us, lord, come to me, lord, you are speaking to humanity, lord, and we are coming to you today, and we don't know where we're coming. We don't know what direction we're coming from, lord, because you are an invisible God. Lord, you sit in an approachable light. No one can see God and live, but, Lord, we come to you, lord, wherever we are, and we simply walk to you, lord, in faith. So, lord, I pray as we sit down, as we stand, as we live life and we do what we do.

Speaker 0:

Lord, we come to you, dear God, just in our thoughts now. We come to you in our thoughts today, lord, because, lord, you are an invisible God, but, lord, you tell us that you live inside of each and every one of us. So, lord, our hearts, we just take these five minutes to pray. Maybe, lord, we're at the coffee machine, father, lord, as we're at the coffee machine of life, as we're at our desk, as we're just, lord, taking five minutes, lord, I pray right now, lord, that you will bless the listeners, that you will bless everyone, lord, through prayer, lord, that they will worship the living God.

Speaker 0:

But, lord, you tell us to come to you, all of us that are weary and burdened, and, lord, god, oh Jesus, that is a long line of people. Father, we come to you, we are weary and we are burdened, but we are going to leave it at the cross. You tell me that you will give us rest, father, you tell us straight out the first line of the gospel of Matthew, chapter 11. Come to me, all of you that are weary and heavy laden, and you will give me rest. Lord, I need rest today. We believe in rest, we believe in the word, we believe in the presence of the Holy Spirit, we believe in the fire of God, we believe in your love, your mercy.

Speaker 0:

Come, lord, enrich our lives today. Lord, help us to take up thy yoke and learn from you. Lord, you tell us that you are gentle and humble in heart. Lord, I want to be gentle and I want to be humble, lord, I want to be a peaceful person. Lord, you tell us blessed are the peacemakers, lord. Help us, lord, to bring peace to every situation that we are, in, every area of work, life, relationships, ministry, church, whatever we do. Help us to be peacemakers, lord. I want to be a peacemaker, lord, I want to be treated, lord, as I would treat others.

Speaker 0:

So, lord, I pray today for each and every one of us, that the fire of God and the love of God and the presence of the Holy Spirit, lord, as we come to you, and that we do that, lord, very simply, by sitting down or doing what we're doing and just speaking to you. Because, lord, as we come to you, and we do that, lord, very simply, by sitting down or doing what we're doing and just speaking to you, because, lord, we come to you by words, we come to you by prayer. And today, lord, we bring this to the table and we say, lord, I'm weary and I'm burdened and, lord, right now, I'm going to leave it at the cross of Calvary. Will you help me, lord, to leave it at the cross of calvary? Will you help me, lord, to leave my burdens at the cross. Will you show me how to do that, lord? Will you help me, lord, to make this a life application every moment? Help me to pray, lord. Help me to leave it at the cross, to leave it in your courts, to leave it in the throne room, to leave it in the hands of jesus.

Speaker 0:

I pray today that we will be gentle and humble in heart and we will find rest for our souls. We take up thy yoke, lord, because it's easy and your burden is light. So, lord, as we follow Jesus today, as we are Bible believing believers, lord, I pray for those that are clicking in to these podcasts. I pray that the spirit of the living God will carry them and the love of Jesus will feed them. I thank you for their lives. Bless them, press down, running over, shaking together. Let the fire of God be over them today, in Jesus' glorious name, amen. May the Spirit of the Lord be with you. My name is Reverend Ben Cooper. May the Lord keep you and bless you until tomorrow.
