Stop Playing Table Tennis with the Devil (#1109 Elim)
Are We Dressing for a Fashion Show or a Spiritual Battle? – Unshakeable: A Daily Christian Devotional Podcast
Broadcasting live from London, England, Reverend Ben Cooper delivers a stirring devotional asking believers: are you dressing for a fashion show—or preparing for a spiritual battle?
Episode Description
Too many Christians today wear “plastic faith” that looks good on the outside but collapses under real pressure. The modern church often resembles a catwalk, focused on performance and appearance, while neglecting the deeper work of preparation. Yet Scripture is clear: our fight is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:10-18). The only way to stand firm is by putting on the full armor of God.
This message reveals why so many believers feel exhausted, defeated, and spiritually drained despite their best efforts. The problem is not that the enemy is too strong—it is that we are improperly dressed for the battle. Faith built on performance melts under pressure, but faith anchored in Christ stands firm.
Biblical Foundation
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." — Ephesians 6:10-11 (NIV)
Episode Highlights
- Why “fashion-show Christianity” leaves us vulnerable
- The importance of wearing every piece of God’s armor daily
- How to stop “playing table tennis with the devil” and start walking in true authority
- The freedom of relying on God’s strength instead of striving in our own
- Practical insights on living prepared, not just looking religious
Life Application
The Christian life is not a show—it is a battle. The armor of God is not symbolic or optional; it is your daily protection:
- The helmet of salvation guards your mind from lies and fear.
- The breastplate of righteousness protects your heart and motives.
- The belt of truth secures your life in God’s Word.
- The shield of faith extinguishes fiery darts of doubt and accusation.
- The sword of the Spirit equips you with Scripture to fight back.
- The shoes of peace keep you steady and ready to carry the gospel.
Victory comes not from fighting in our own strength, but from standing firm in Christ’s authority. The cross has already secured the outcome—our role is to remain steadfast, dressed and ready.
Call to Action
This episode is an urgent invitation to trade surface-level religion for true, Spirit-filled readiness.

Speaker 2:Before we go any further, let's just come before the lord and just have a moment of prayer. You know people are jumping online. Let's just come before our god. Good evening, and god bless you. I can see you on the monitor. Yeah, good evening to everybody, as I just looking through the screen a minute. Yeah, may god bless you and carry you in the mighty name of jesus christ. Wherever you are tonight, may the holy spirit lead you. May the power of god carry you. But let's just be in prayer. We've got to pray for the uk. We've got to pray for the uk.
Speaker 2:I don't think that we can get that. Can we get that union jack up there? Can we get that up there? You know, let's cause a little bit of trouble around the world. Let's pull the jack up. You know, look at that, the greatest flag apart from the flag of Israel. Oh, we're going to get trouble tonight.
Speaker 2:Come on, we've got to pray for the UK. You know, this is not a political drive, this has nothing to do with that, but this nation is in desperate need. This nation is more interested in fashion, this nation is more interested in social networks than what's happening across the world and this nation is in serious trouble. So that flag there, the Union Jack behind us, is a trigger point to pray, to pray for the UK like we've never prayed before. You know. We've got to just pray that the Lord will not pass us by, that God will not pass us by. You know, we are living in end days, you know, and we got to be careful, extremely careful. So let's pray for this nation, you know, and let's just come before the Lord, father, in the name of Jesus. Lord, I thank you, father, that I myself do not align to any political party, not interested in any politics, not interested in any politician. Lord, I thank you, father, that I am removed from all that, that I am, dear God, not chasing that Lord. I believe in the power of God and I pray tonight, right now, that the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, lord, will move right across this nation. And, lord, as people are seeing that flag, as people are seeing the Union Jack, I pray, dear God, that we pray for the UK tonight. We pray for England. We pray, lord, from the, let's say, the centre point of London. We pray right the way through the UK, through Ireland, scotland and Wales. Father, we pray, lord, right across the British Isles tonight, that the fire of God will touch this nation and, father, you will bring us back to the cross of Calvary. Lord, that you will give us a government, lord, that believes in Jesus Christ. You will give us a monarchy, lord, that believes in Jesus Christ. You will give us leaders in the church that actually believes in Jesus. Father, that you will bring the power of the Holy Spirit to this nation. So, father, as we look on the screen and for those that are joining us on radio, god bless to those on radio and the world of podcasts. We, those that are joining us on radio, god bless to those on radio and the world of podcasts.
Speaker 2:We have a Union Jack flag over my shoulder. You know I am not into the world of politics one bit. I can't find anything more boring. I'd rather, you know, stick pins in my eyes and follow all that stuff. You know there's nothing worth anything. Politics is finished and over. It's no point in following that. You've got to follow Jesus.
Speaker 2:So, through this prayer time, you know, as you look at that flag, this is not a political drive. We do not do political stuff from the pulpit any way, shape or form, but we've got to tell the world that the UK belongs to Jesus Christ, that the UK is a Christian nation. It doesn't matter what is out on the streets, it doesn't matter what anybody is saying. This nation belongs to God. This nation belongs to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. It doesn't belong to any other religion, not to any other group. It belongs to God. This nation is God-fearing. This nation belongs to God, no matter what you see, no matter what the censors say, no matter what the world is see, no matter what the census say, no matter what the world is saying, no matter what the social medias are saying about this nation. This nation belongs to the King.
Speaker 2:And I'm not talking about Charles God bless his soul. I am talking about the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. I'm talking about the Redeemer. You know, and I pray right now, that the fire of God and the presence of the Holy Spirit will move right across this nation, across this town, and God will deliver and God will set free this nation, you know, and the hand of God will move. So let's pray.
Speaker 2:Father, we thank you for the UK tonight. We thank you, lord, that the UK is blessed and highly favoured, wonderfully and fearfully made. I pray right now for the fire of God to stretch right through the center of this nation. Lord, that you will bring every church, you will bring every house to its knees and we will lift up the greatest name in heaven and earth and at the name of Jesus, lord, I pray right now that the glory of God and the power of the Holy Spirit will sweep right through this nation and the fire and the presence and the anointing of God, lord, will capture this government. Lord, that we will have a government that believes in Jesus Christ, that we will have a nation that stands on the gospel of Christ. Lord, that you will, dear God, move through this system, through this town, through the villages, through every city, every town, across this nation. So, lord, as we see that Union Jack over my shoulder there, lord, we believe that this nation, that England, england, belongs to God.
Speaker 2:So, father, we thank you for the power of God moving through this nation. And, lord, will you sweep for us tonight, will you sweep for the church tonight, will you come, holy Spirit and Lord, bring us to a place. Lord, of restoration, we believe in revival and, lord, we believe in a revival, in the way of that you are reviving this nation, lord. We believe that you are reviving this nation and the power of God is moving in such a way. Lord, spirit of the Holy Ghost, lord, we worship you, we praise you and tonight, lord, we ask you, lord, that we will see miracles and we pray for Israel. Tonight, lord, we don't just pray, lord, for this nation, we pray for Israel, lord, and I pray for those dear God that are online will pray right now, lord, for their own nations that they live in, lord, their own nations. Right now, lord, that you will bless this nation, that the fire of God will be over this nation, through the UK, through England, through Scotland, ireland and Wales, lord, and the rest of the globe, lord, that the globe will recognise Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. So, father, we pray that the fire of God will stretch for every church, the Holy Spirit will go for every house, every home. Lord, that you will draw all men unto thee.
Speaker 2:Tonight, lord and Father, we pray for Israel and we thank you for Israel. We thank you that there is power, lord, in the word of God and tonight, lord, we pray for peace in Israel. We pray, lord, that you'll bless Israel. Father. We pray for all the terrorists, lord, that you will save them. Lord, that you will remove them out of the occult world, out of that dark place, and you will save the terrorists tonight, father. We pray right now for Palestine that Palestine is saved tonight, father, we pray right now for Palestine that Palestine is saved. Is blood washed? We pray for the Palestinians, lord, that you will cover them in the blood of Jesus. We pray right away, through the Middle East, that they will know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We pray tonight, lord, for the Middle East, that they will know the King, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords as their Lord and Savior. Holy Spirit, move over us tonight in the glorious name of Jesus Christ. Amen. God bless you wherever you are joining us tonight in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, may the Holy Spirit fill you.
Speaker 2:For those that are in the house with me, we're going to turn to the book of Ephesians. We're going to turn to the book of Ephesians, chapter six, and we're going to read from verse 10. We're just going to take our time and move gently down. God bless those that are on the world of radio tonight. God bless those that are on audio tonight with us. God bless those that are on podcasts and those that are following us on visuals on the social networks. May the power of God be with you and strengthen you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let the glory of God rest on you tonight.
Speaker 2:In the wonderful name of Jesus Christ, I'm going to ask our brother, alex, can you put up there the Israel text for us tonight? Can you change that now and switch that over? You know, for the one that we have with Israel, you know, may God bless you wherever you are tonight. May the Holy Spirit lead you in paths of righteousness for his namesake. We've got to pray for Israel and we've got to pray for the UK. We've got to pray for every nation, but we're turning, uh, pretty quickly.
Speaker 2:Now we're going to turn into the book of Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 10. Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 10. And for those that are journaling, those that are making notes, those that are staying with us, you know, those that are following this series through the title of this evening's study, a bit of a ramble through the scriptures tonight. The title is it's not a fashion show. It's not a fashion show. You know what do you mean by that? Well, when you look at certain platforms, when you look at certain churches, you know it's like looking at the West End, it's like looking through the shop window at a fashion show. You know the latest clothes, the latest clobber, the latest stuff that is going on. You know it's not a fashion show.
Speaker 2:We have lost the understanding how we got to dress for church. What do you mean? How I got to dress for church. Not just for church, but just for life. You know, we go out of our house, we go out of every and we're dressed up with the full gear, the full fashion, everything that goes on, and there's some dress that we're not. And I'm not talking about a dress, a lady's dress, um, you know, I am talking about the simple way that we dress, the way that we dress, and actually I'll make a quick point on that.
Speaker 2:We got preachers in pulpits that are that are men, biological men, that are wearing dresses. We got, you know we got all that going on in within certain areas of church. You know we are not dressed, we are not fit for purpose. The church in many areas is not fit for purpose. We got women getting in pulpits that are dressing like men. It's absolutely chaos, it is absolutely carnage.
Speaker 2:Talk about as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the end days. We have Sodom and Gomorrah right in many churches, right from the pulpit out. We are living in times of spiritual dryness, spiritual pain. We are not dressed and we are not fit for purpose. You know, when you look at what's happening around the world, we are at the most powerful spiritual time that you could ever be at and we are waiting for Jesus Christ, the return of the King. He's coming back, for the body of Christ. He's coming back, but we are not dressed and we are not ready for what is about to happen to the UK. There are things that are happening to this nation, that are happening under the table in number 10, downing Street, that they will present very, very soon.
Speaker 2:And the church is not dressed and the church is not ready. The church is dressed in the weak pink clothing that the world is wearing. We cannot dress like the world. Why are we dressing like the world? What do you mean dressing? You know, this scripture that we're in tonight is absolutely critical, absolutely critical. That we're in, we have got a fashion show and for those that are taking notes this evening, the title of this evening's study is it's not a fashion show. What do you mean? I'm going to repeat myself. We are not dressed ready for what is about to hit the shoreline of the UK. You can feel the temperature, you can feel the heat, the spiritual atmosphere.
Speaker 2:We got men standing and preaching in pulpits. Dressed in what? Dressed in dresses. We've got women getting in pulpits dressing like men. We have never seen such carnage in the church and the church is not dressed and fit for purpose. We've got to be careful how we dress, how we walk. What do you mean? You know, church isn't a fashion show.
Speaker 2:When you look at Jesus, when he preached the gospel, what was he dressed in? He was dressed in the local attire. He was dressed very, very traditionally. But when you look today across the way of life, we have to be really, really careful, really, really careful how we dress ourselves. Do not dress yourself according to the world. It is absolutely critical.
Speaker 2:You know the church is dressing itself according to the fashion of the world and God tells us through the book of Ephesians we are in the book of Ephesians and I've got to tell you right now we've got to dress very different. We've got to look different. We've got to walk different. We can't walk the same as the way the world is walking. We've got to be dressed and we've got to be ready for what? There is spiritual warfare out there and the church is getting absolutely steamrolled it over because it is dressed in pink, it's carrying handbags, it is dressed in a weak, gay, woke way and we've got to dress ourselves and we've got to be ready for what is actually happening right now. You know we are living in a time where the spiritual atmosphere is so strong and so powerful. It's really, really important.
Speaker 2:It's really really important that we dress right, not according to the fashion of social media. Don't follow the trends of the world. God tells us very, very clearly in the Bible. He says do not conform to the pattern. But we conform to the pattern in the attire that we wear. We've got to be careful what we wear, the labels that we wear, the fashion that we wear.
Speaker 2:You know I love clothes. I'm probably the worst one out of all of us. I love, you know, clothes. I can't get away from that. Lord help me. I've got more shoes than you can ever imagine, you know. So I have an issue that I'm dealing with. The issue, don't worry. But what I'm trying to say tonight is that we got to be dressed spiritually. It's the spiritual dress that's important. It's how we dress ourselves internally, because the internal dress will cover the outside.
Speaker 2:But we're going to church weak, pink and woke. We got men dressing in pulpits. You see them across the platforms. We've got this witchcraft that is out there. We've got this divination that's out there. Magic, black magic, white magic. We have got such strange things going on and we have to be careful. We have to be careful how we talk about church.
Speaker 2:I believe a massive area church really isn't church. The church is looking like the occult, is looking like the occult in many, many ways. We've got certain cultures dressing a certain way. We've got certain colors and tribes doing a certain thing. You know we've got to be very careful. The church of Jesus Christ is absolutely multicultural. If you've got a church that looks the same, the men's got their hair the same colour. It's sweeped this way. The women are sitting there, the men are sitting there. There's certain people at the front Look at the social medias at this minute. There are certain coloured churches and I'm not frightened to mention it. There are certain colored churches across the world where the pastors are waving their jackets and the congregation is falling over. This is absolutely crazy. You've got pastors taking off their jacket, waving it around and they're falling over. We're falling over in the Spirit. You're not falling over in the Holy Spirit, you're falling over in the Jezebel spirit. It isn't the spirit of the living God that you are watching. You are watching the fake spirits out there mimicking and trying to put us in a false position.
Speaker 2:Now, this is serious. Tonight we got to dress. We got to dress according to the scripture, how the scripture call tell us how to dress, and I'm not talking about the way the old testament would tell us how to dress and all that sort of stuff. I'm talking about spiritually, because we got to dress ourselves spiritually. So, without further ado, let's get straight into the word of god.
Speaker 2:We are in the book of ephesians. My voice is giving out lately. I'm speaking too much. We're in ephesians, chapter 6, verse 10. Finally, be strong. In the book of Ephesians, my voice is giving out lately, I'm speaking too much. We're in Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 10. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power and put on the full armor of God.
Speaker 2:As I said, the title of this study tonight, it's not a fashion show. No wonder we are losing ground in life itself because we are not dressed correct spiritually. We are not dressed incorrectly. Dressed spiritually. The church needs to go into the changing room. It needs to go in and dress out and come out like Superman. Go in as Clark Kent and come out as Superman. You know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying. And take those tight shorts off, tommy, up the back there it don't fit well.
Speaker 2:You know verse 10, ephesians, chapter 6. Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 10. And it says Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power and put on the full armor of God so that you can take the stand against the devil's schemes. No wonder the church is being railroaded over, no wonder we're losing traction because the spiritual atmosphere is so strong, we are not dressed and we are not fit for purpose. So every attack is flattening us down. Every attack is so strong, not because the devil's strong, because the church hasn't equipped itself. And whose fault is that? It's the preachers, it's the teachers, it's the leaders. You know, the prosperity gospel is fake. The healing gospel is fake.
Speaker 2:Peter Popoff has healed more people than Jesus. What a liar. Jesse Duplantis has healed more people than Jesus Absolutely rubbish. Kenneth Copeland has healed more people. If you look at him, he looks like a lizard. You've got to be so careful. You have to be careful. Who are you following? They're not dressed fit for purpose.
Speaker 2:We've got to get serious in the church. We've got to get serious in our walk. We've got to get serious in our walk. We got to get serious with our God. We got to get in a position where we follow Jesus Christ. And what does God say? He says, ben, I want you to dress like this. He says, this is what I want you to do. Let's read it down a little bit further and we will find out what he wants.
Speaker 2:But we are going to pick it up in verse 12, for our struggle isn't against flesh and blood. See, this is what the church does. It thinks its battle is with humanity, with denomination, and it is losing traction because it doesn't realize that the battle is in spiritual realms. See, when you dress in the full armor of God. See, you've just got to get dressed ready for purpose. But what we have across this nation? We have appearance and performance in church. As I always say, you can go to these mega churches, the large churches, and you can watch a show. The church is great, it's very theatrical, you know. It puts on a great show, but it doesn't tell us how to walk in such dark days, dressed in the armor of God.
Speaker 2:If you go to a church that is talking about self-love and self-propelling and self-evaluation, it isn't the church of Jesus Christ, because we don't need to worry about all that, because what happens is the Bible says seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and everything else shall come to thee. So when you seek God first Father, son, holy Spirit, everything about our emotions and our care, about all that we seek him first and everything falls into place. It is critical that we dress in the full armor and we shouldn't take the armor off. I'll hang out tonight. I'll take it off. The devil doesn't come off the gas. You know it's really interesting. I've mentioned this before, we'll mention it again and we we spoke about it.
Speaker 2:You know, myself and simon, through many podcasts that we've done for hashtaghtag, christian Straight Talk. Why is it? The church takes August off, the church shuts down in August, but the devil is still. Well, the church shuts down. Oh, it's August. Yeah, I'll send me last emails out. I'm going to take August off. The church will shut the church. We'll run it on a skeleton situation. Why in the name of Jesus do we do that? Because we're not dressed. The devil don't go actually church. It's August. Come on, we're going on holiday together. Let's go and enjoy ourselves. We're off to Tenerife. We get a great little package holiday. We're off. It's crazy. You've got to be on your guard 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Don't take August off.
Speaker 2:If you're in a church that takes August off, find yourself a new church. Find yourself a new church, because the churches that we should be under are talking about the blood of Jesus, the power of the Holy Spirit and the coming of Jesus Christ. And are you dressed ready, ben, for what is about to happen in the UK? Are you dressed and are you ready for the spiritual press, for the end time harvest? You know the Bible says many are called, few are chosen.
Speaker 2:We got many people in pulpits that are saved, that are not preachers, that are not teachers. They are academics bringing an academic message, an academic lesson. I don't want academia, I want the spirit of God. I want to be told Ben, you've got to sort your life. You've got to get yourself ready. You've got to make sure you're covered in the blood of Jesus. You've got to make sure and work out your salvation with fear and trembling. You've got to make sure that're covered in the blood of Jesus. You've got to make sure and work out your salvation with fear and trembling. You've got to make sure that you know who the king is. You know the church has taken holiday. The church has disappeared in August and you'll find that very clear across every denomination. Everyone disappears in August. The devil's gone with them. The church is empty out, everything pulpits. You know. Know, brother and sister. We are watching west end shows on sundays. We are watching performances. We are watching people that are academic and have skill sets.
Speaker 2:I don't want to follow anyone and listen to a message that's coming from a skill set. I want to follow and listen to someone that has gone through hell and high water and come out the other side and said god got me out of the pit, out out of the slimy pit. You know, when I was rock bottom, when I was broken, busted and disgusted, my God saved me when every arrow from hell was firing at me, my God saved me. I want to hear messages. I want to hear preachers preach that when I was at rock bottom and they had nothing and God was moving in their life and the power of the Holy Spirit and they went by faith, they went by the word of God and they got dressed every day, they got ready and they was ready for the fire of God and the anointing and the power. I want to listen to messages that make my bones shake. I want to listen to messages that make me think about my life. I want to hear messages that make me think that hell isn't too far away.
Speaker 2:I haven't heard a message preached on hell in many, many years. When was the last time? Probably Jonathan Edwards. Jonathan Edwards and we're going right back and he preached a message that shook the granny out of the church. It shook everything in the church. The church shook, the pillars shook, the house shook. You know, last week, you know, many of us experienced that sonic boom. If you experienced that, it shook the buildings, that's what I want to be under the sound of God's voice. When God speaks, the buildings shake, the tiles move, the carpet ripples, the chairs turn upside down.
Speaker 2:I want to feel the power of God. Aren't you tired of weak, woke church? Aren't you tired of a weak, woke, pink generation? Do you want the fire of God? Do you want the power of the Holy Spirit? Are you looking for miracles in your life? Are you hungry for God? Are you looking for miracles in your life? Are you hungry for God? Are you thirsty for the world? Are you hungry for the world? Are you thirsty for Jesus? What are you looking for in your life, ben? What do you want? I want God. I want the power of the Holy Spirit. I want to see the dead raised.
Speaker 2:I want to be in church on Sunday and see wheelchairs being chucked out the doors. I want to see people walking. I want to see people seeing. I want to hear that the deaf are hearing. I want to see people giving their lives to Jesus. I want to hear people's lives given to Jesus. I want to hear that God has set them free. Prison doors are open. People have been set free by the blood of Jesus. I want to hear the sound of holy angels singing holy, holy is the Lord most worthy of all praise.
Speaker 2:But the church isn't dressed. The church is like a fashion show. It's like a catwalk experience. We're watching the leaders walk down getting out of fancy cars, coming in on red carpets. We're watching them being mollycoddled all the way around. You've only got to watch certain areas of social media. They're all surrounded, they've got white suits and white gloves. Oh Lord, when am I going to get my white suit? Jesus, please, god, can I have a white suit and gloves? You know they take their jacket off.
Speaker 2:The certain, I'll say as it is the certain area of church, cultural churches. When you look on there, they are waving their jackets. As I said earlier at the congregation, they're falling over, they're falling in the spirit of the devil. They're not. The Holy Spirit would not do that. The Holy Spirit would not allow that. We serve a God of order, a God of order, a God of justice, a God of miracles. He would not have a pastor wave his jacket and at the wave of his jacket, the Holy Spirit is going to touch people and drop them to the floor. That is a different spirit. That is Jezebel. That is manipulation and control.
Speaker 2:And let me go a little bit further. When you look at those churches, what do they practice? Witchcraft. Witchcraft is in many denominations, witchcraft is being preached from the pulpit, divination, magic, black magic, white magic. We are not dressed and we are not fit for purpose in this nation. I've got to tell you, brother and sister, this is how we got to dress.
Speaker 2:Let's read it. Let's read it a little bit further and I'll read it in its complete entirety. I'll take it from verse 10 and I'll take it all the way down to verse 18. It says of this dark world against spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God so that, on the day when evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground. And after you have stood and done everything to stand, stand firm then.
Speaker 2:Verse 14, look what it says. Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Verse 16 in addition to all this, take up the shield of faith which you can extinguish the fiery arrows from the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of god, and pray in the spirit, and pray in the spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayer requests. Uh, with this in mind, be alert, be alert. Be alert and don't go on holiday in august and always keep on praying for all the saints. Be alert, be sharp 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Be alert, be dressed in the full armor of God. We might pick up the shield occasionally and then we put the shield down. We might pick up the helmet of salvation and put it on for a minute. Take it off. We got a fashion show in church. The church is a fashion show. The church is a laughingstock.
Speaker 2:The church is a joke in the uk. It has lost its spiritual power. Why has it lost its godly spiritual power? Because 95 percent of it. There is no doctoring coming from the pulpit. We are not talking about the blood. We are not talking about hell. We are not talking about the redeeming king. We are not talking about the blood. We are not talking about hell. We are not talking about the redeeming king. We are not talking about eschatology, the rapture of the church. We are not talking about the coming of Jesus Christ.
Speaker 2:Now, if Jesus was to come tonight, we go. Hang on, lord. I've got to watch. I'm not raising my hands like that, bro I'm doing standing yells at the minute. Hang on, lord, I've got Netflix on tonight. I've got a pizza coming through the door. Can you hold back a minute, jesus, because I've got to relax. The church is so relaxed it's snoring. It is doing exactly what.
Speaker 2:Jesus looked at the three that he took to the garden of Gethsemane. He said watch and pray, watch and pray. He said why are you sleeping? Watch that you do not fall into temptation. Watch and pray, watch and pray with me. Oh, jesus, we're tired. Lord, I got on the train early this morning. Lord, give it a break, will you? I want to go back and lay on the sofa tonight, the DFS sofa that I ain't paid for yet. Lord, I want to go and lay on the sofa. Lord, watch the TV that I got on iPurchase, lord, actually, lord, I'm going to be picked up from the station in the car that I don't even know that I've got on HP. Lord, actually, jesus, give me a break. Tonight. We're going to have a Chinese and we're going to put it on the credit card. My God, we are so tired we are. Are we slaves to righteousness or are we slaves to number 10 Downing Street? Are we slaves to righteousness or are we slaves to number 10 Downing Street?
Speaker 2:When you look at the church, sisters and brothers yeah, I'm being a bit brutal, I'm being a bit flippant tonight, but we got to get in, we got to get in the armor, you got to be dressed, you got to be ready. Look at King David. I know when he went to this position he wasn't the king. But when you look at Saul and David we spoke about this, we looked at this really really clear and what's really really important, that the world will try to dress you the way they think that we should be dressed. The world is dressing the church, but David was dressed by King Saul and David said hang on a minute. No way, jose, can I wear that. And David said hang on a minute. No way, jose, can I wear that. I cannot wear what you are giving me.
Speaker 2:But the church is wearing what the world tells it to walk like. Don't walk the same rhythm of the world, don't dress in what they are dressing in, don't look the same as them, do not comply to what the world is doing. It is really really important that we dress according to the scripture, you know. Dress in the power of God, dress in the anointing. Dress yourself in the spirit of God. There's a really interesting part of this. Well, the whole scripture is really really powerful and interesting. Of course it is, but there's something that there's an area that I feel that we're really lacking within the uk. Verse 17, a minute, says take the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of god, and pray in the spirit.
Speaker 2:Now, I've been in many prayer meetings over the years. I've been in many cultural prayer meetings and I realized very, very, very, very quickly, very, very quickly, that we're not praying in the Holy Spirit. Certain area of tribal, certain area of culture, certain areas of demographics are not actually praying in the Holy Spirit, and the same for the church in the UK. We're praying with a different spirit. We've got to pray through the word of God. So when we start prayer, what do we do? We get scripture, you get scripture. You might say, well, ben, I'm not quite familiar with the word of God. Take Psalm 23, six verses. Get it in your spirit, get it in your heart. Father, in the name of Jesus, lord, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall know what. And in the name of Jesus, lord, I walk in the spirit of the living God. Father, I walk in your spirit. You know, I've been in many prayer meetings and I've shared this and I'm going to share it again.
Speaker 2:When I worked in a certain area, I had to go to a certain temple. I had to go there and I was completely out of place, completely out of place. I was dressed in the clergy kit. I was dressed. I had to go to, I had to attend a funeral of a certain person, of a certain demographic. I went to their temple and I walked right into the center and I was right in the center and there was hundreds, there was hundreds in this temple, hundreds of them in this temple, dressed a certain way, wearing a certain stuff on their head, all that sort of stuff. And let me tell you this, this is fact, this is absolutely fact. I got right in the center and then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, they started what they call prayer, they started chanting and within minutes, within minutes, I actually felt myself almost lifting off the ground.
Speaker 2:I'm telling you now, I've experienced the dark side of prayer. What do you mean? The dark side of prayer? The dark side of ritualistic, tribal, witchcraft prayer. And I'm telling you now, I prayed. I prayed like I've never prayed for weeks and hours and days, and I claim the blood of Jesus. I'm telling you now I could feel the rhythm and, what's interesting, the way that they pray is a chant and do you know what it reminded me of? It reminded me of those Baal worshippers when they worship Baal, when they prayed and what they've done. When you look at Jezebel, when you go back into the old scriptures, they prayed and they chanted and they got themselves in a rhythm.
Speaker 2:You've got to be careful of chanting. Just because the church might be praying, it doesn't mean to say that they're praying in the Holy Spirit. Just because it's got church over the skin of the door doesn't mean to say it's actually church. You know, when you pray, there is something really powerful about prayer and I was in this great big temple and I was surrounded, I was outnumbered. You knew where I come from, you knew where I live, you knew what I looked like.
Speaker 2:I stood out like a sore thumb with all the kit on and I'm standing there right in the middle and they started their prayer, they started their chant and they'd done certain things to themselves and they literally, on certain a rhythm, they touched the floor. They all bowed down, touched the floor, came up and I'm telling you now, I felt the power of Lucifer, I felt the power of chanting like I've never felt it anymore and I learned so much through that. I learned so much through that there is a dark side to what we call prayer. It's chanting, it's witchcraft, it's divination. So don't be fooled. Don't be fooled by the size of the church and everything that goes on. Be careful. I I really make this point and I'm really serious about this. It's really important that we pack church up for a while and get right with jesus. Pack church up, don't bother coming and literally find jesus. Find jesus, because jesus is calling and we are living in the end days, we are living at critical moments.
Speaker 2:Now the title of this evening we've got about 10 minutes or so. The title is it's not a fashion show. The church is dressed for the catwalk, it's not dressed for the spiritual battle. So that's why we're getting battered, that's why we're getting knocked over in the church. We've got to be dressed with the full armor of God and I want to encourage you tonight to take time out and say Lord, I want to be dressed, I want to have the full armor of God. I don't want to leave my house, I don't want to leave this place anymore. I want to be dressed fit for purpose, because when the arrows come, when the axes fly, when the text come through, when this happens, when that happens, I want to be able to make my stand.
Speaker 2:Now the scripture says make your stand. It says don't fight. You do not need to fight, because when you're dressed right, you ain't got to fight. And when you ain't dressed right, you find you're fighting your own battles. When you're not dressed and you're not got the full armor on, we're battling it ourselves. We battle it in the flesh, we battle it with our mind. When we are not fully dressed in the armor of God, we take on the battle. But when you know who you are, you don't need to even look or engage in your enemy. All you got to do is get dressed and ready and you got to stand firm and hold your place. Because when you're dressed, imagine you've got the sword of the Spirit. Imagine the helmet of salvation, the belt of truth, strapped around your waist. Imagine your feet fitted with the gospel of peace. Imagine that you've got the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Imagine you're dressed with the breastplate of righteousness. You don't need to fight If you are tired and exhausted and going from one battle to another.
Speaker 2:You shouldn't be going from one battle to another. The battle belongs to the Lord. You cannot win the battle. We've got to be dressed ready for purpose and I want to encourage you and I'm hoping that we can click through a little bit longer tonight. Can we click through? Can we just carry on just for a bit more, so we stay on the radio a little bit longer? We got to be dressed and we got to be ready.
Speaker 2:I'm telling you now do not pick up a fight with anyone. Do not pick up a battle with anyone. You do not need to prove anything. What you got to do, and I've got to do, is get dressed in the full armor of God. We got to get dressed in the word pray in the spirit, stand strong, and all you got to do is just walk down to the enemy's territory and put your hands in your pockets and just say I'm blessed and highly favored. You need Jesus.
Speaker 2:I ain't engaging in a skirmish. I haven't got to jump into the world of apologetics. I don't need to tell you who my God is. I don't need to get into a battle with words with you from another faith. I don't need to prove anything because I know who my God is. I know who my King is. I haven't got to tell you. I haven't got to jump in and fight for God. I haven't got to jump in the arena and prove the scriptures are true.
Speaker 2:I don't have to have a skirmish on social media backwards and forwards, trying to tell you who my God is, because I know who my God is. You can't tell me he's not real. You can't tell me he's not the king of kings and the lord of lords. And I'm not going to jump down, I'm not going to drop to your level because, let me tell you, you're of the devil and the devil is under my feet and I don't have to fight for the with the devil. I don't have to fight anyone because the battle belongs to the lord, because I've got the helmet of salvation, I've got the sword of the spirit. I've got the sword of the spirit, I've got the breastplate of righteousness, my feet are fitted with the gospel of peace. I've got the sword that is so powerful. I'm dressed in the full armor of God, I'm ready, but I ain't got to do nothing. I've just got to show up.
Speaker 2:But we're showing up not dressed and fit for purpose and we are exhausted, as the church in the uk, because we don't know how to dress. Because we've got men at the front preaching in certain denominations in a dress. We got women trying to be men, so we're sticking on false beards. We've got crazy things happening. We got men trying to beards. We've got crazy things happening. We've got men trying to be a woman and they've got the biggest Adam of that world the earth has ever created. They've got hands like builders, but they're painting their nails. We're living in a crazy world, brother and sister.
Speaker 2:The church is not fit for battle. The church cannot, it will not be able to do what it's got to do until something. And what is the something? Ben Surrender. Because when you surrender, when the church surrenders and bows its head to Jesus Christ, it comes away from self, it humbles itself. The Bible says if my people would recognize my name and humble themselves, then I will. There's so much arrogance in church, there's so much arrogance from pulpits. There's so much showmanship. There's so much.
Speaker 2:I'm going to prove, I'm going to show you, sisters and brothers, I urge you tonight to get dressed for the battle. I urge you to get dressed for the battle. But the scripture says just get ready and just show up. You haven't got to jump in the arena with your family. You haven't got to fight the battle at work. You haven't got to go to the lecture hall and fight it out with anyone. You haven't got to go to the lecture hall and fight it out with anyone. You haven't got to get to the school gates and prove who God is. You don't need to jump on the social media and with a certain demographic, with a certain beard, with a certain colour, with a certain way, you haven't got to prove who Jesus is. You haven't got to prove who Jesus is. We don't need to say nothing. All we got to do is just say God loves you, god loves you and I'm blessed and highly favoured, I'm wonderfully and fearfully made. I don't need to put the gloves on because the battle belongs to the Lord. And let me tell you this, sir Jesus Christ is going to save you. Jesus Christ is the saving king. He's the great I am, he is the valley and he is the king of kings. He is El Shaddai, jehovah Jireh, jehovah Nissi, jehovah Shalom. He is the king above all kings. He is the great I am.
Speaker 2:You know, church is a fashion show. It's like coming to watch a theatrical performance. We got great actors and actresses within the church, but in the kingdom you got real men and women. In the kingdom you got real men and women that are saying you know what? I've had a bad air day this week, but you know what my God has shown up. Do you know what my God showed up for me? I was troubled, I was in a place of despair, but my God revealed himself to me. You know what we walk in church with our Sunday teeth on. They're all white and shiny.
Speaker 2:Everyone says how you been this week. Oh, I've had a great week in the name of Jesus. Oh, I've been on that holy segue all week. Do you know what I've been floating on cloud nine? God has blessed me so much I can't contain the blessing. Don't lie. Don't lie the battle of just getting up in the morning. The spiritual atmosphere is so strong and so powerful. No wonder we got depression. No wonder we got mental health issues. No wonder the nation is buckled under the situation that's going on because we got to get to the cross. We got to get to the cross. We got to get to Jesus. It is Jesus. Don't follow me. Follow Jesus, don't follow Elim. Follow Jesus, don't follow the church. Follow Jesus. Get yourself dressed, get yourself ready, and the battle belongs to the Lord. No wonder we got so much suicide across the nation. No wonder we got so much debt and worry and fear and we don't know who we are and we have lost ourselves in the world because we have not dressed and we are not ready.
Speaker 2:Your word is a lamp unto my feet, a light for my path. What does it say in Psalm 119, round about 105? Your word is a lamp unto my feet, a light for my path. Your word is a lamp unto my feet, a light for my path. Your word is a lamp unto my feet, a light for my path. Your word is sharper than a double-edged sword. Your word is what I need at school. Your word is what I need in my life. Your word is what I need in church. Your word, it is the word that we need in our lives. There is power in the name of Jesus.
Speaker 2:Do we realize that we carry authority? Do we realize that we don't need to jump in the arena. Why are we fighting battles with the devil? Why are we fighting? Why are we trying to prove? Why are we trying to get one back? Why are we playing table tennis with the devils? Don't play table tennis with the devils anymore.
Speaker 2:Put the bat down, put on the armor and say Lord, get me ready for the second coming of Jesus. Lord, get me ready for the biggest battle the world has ever seen. Lord, get me, dress me up, help me, lord, sweep through my heart. Lord, purify my heart and give me clean hands. Lord, sweep me, lord, help me, lord, sweep through my heart, lord, purify my heart and give me clean hands. Lord, sweep through my life, lord.
Speaker 2:I don't want to engage, lord, in table tennis with the devils around me. Lord, I want to engage in prayer. I want to walk in holiness. I want to walk in your glory. I want to walk in miracles. I want to walk in the word of God. I want to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. I want to see the dead be raised. I want to see the dead be raised in the name of Jesus. I want to see the glory of God's splendor.
Speaker 2:I want to hear a word that shakes me to my core Lord, I want to go to church and feel the power of God. I want to see the Holy Spirit moving in such a way. We've never seen it before. Lord, I want to feel the church shake. I want to hear the tiles dancing to the sound of the word of God. I want to feel the spirit of the living God in my life.
Speaker 2:Never before Are we hungry for Jesus? No, we've lost the hunger. The church has lost the hunger. It is settling for Farley's rusks. It is settling for fake food. We are settling for wokeness, what we need. Man does not live on bread alone. Man does not live on bread alone. Man does not live on bread alone, but but every word that perceives out of the mouth of god.
Speaker 2:What did christ say when he was in that position for 40 days and 40 nights? Hold up, lucifer. I'm just gonna go and get the prayer team. I'm just gonna go and seek some advice from the pastor, because pastor knows everything. I'm just going to go to the church and find out what I do in this spiritual crisis when the devil is on me towel. Hang on a minute, lucifer, can you wait one moment? No chance.
Speaker 2:What did Jesus say when he was in that solitary, that lonely place? He said it is written, it is written, it is written. We are biblically illiterate in the UK. We would rather read Harry Potter than read the Word of God. We would rather read a novel and watch the screen known as the TV. We would rather let the kids game all day and all night, bringing darkness in to their eyes, through their eyes and through their ears. We'd rather watch depravity on the screen than rather watch the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Through the word of God, it is written. When was the last time we said that, over our lives, devil, get away from me. In the name of Jesus, it is written. We don't say it is written because the majority don't know what is written, because we're not in the words, we're in the world, we're plastic.
Speaker 2:What happens to plastic? Plastic knives and forks? If you took a plastic knife and fork and you stood it next to a metal knife and fork and you turned up a flame against them, what one's going to melt? They look like a knife and fork. They do the same job as a knife and fork. They look like it, but when the flame gets hot, plastic melts. The church is plastic in the UK and it is buckling under the heat of the temperature of the spiritual warfare. You know, make sure you're a metal knife and fork so you can hold the heat, because that's what metal does. Metal holds the heat. Plastic within just a few. You've only got to put something in your car on the hottest day of the year. Put a bit of plastic. It will distort through the heat of the sun going through the window screen reflecting onto the item of plastic. It will be distorted. The church is plastic and it is distorted.
Speaker 2:Brother and sister, we're going to pray. We're going to come to the table. We've got to get out of here. You know, we've got to get out of here. It's really, really important. Let's pray. We're coming to the table. I hope and pray that you're doing this at home. I hope and pray that you're doing this at home. I hope and pray that you take the effort to get off the sofa and to get to the kitchen. Get yourself a bit of bread, get yourself a bit of grape juice, wine juice, whatever it is, because this is critical. Breaking of the bread and taking of the cup is absolutely critical. It is absolutely critical that we break bread. Break bread and take of the cup. If your church isn't doing this, get out of church. Father, we come to you tonight in the name of Jesus and Lord.
Speaker 2:I haven't been dressed correctly, lord. I haven't been dressed correctly, lord. I've been on the catwalk of church and I've been like the plastic knife and fork, lord, and we're buckling when the temperature gets slightly warm, not even red hot, when the temperature starts to rise slightly and it starts to increase, lord, we are buckling because the majority of the UK church is plastic and as the temperature is rising, it's starting to be distorted. When it was cold, it was a knife and fork, but when the temperature of the last days started to rise, when the spiritual atmosphere was getting hotter, as the temperature was getting warmer to the coming of the King, we started to see distortion in the church. The plastic knife and fork has buckled, lord.
Speaker 2:I don't want to belong to the plastic brigade, I want to belong to the kingdom. I want to make sure that I'm dressed and I'm ready, and I'm ready for the word of God. I'm ready for the coming of Jesus, I'm ready for what the world is about to see. I'm ready for the spiritual temperature because I'm dressed in the book of Ephesians. I'm doing what the Bible says.
Speaker 2:I'm dressed, I'm ready for battle, but I ain't got to fight, I've just got to get dressed. That is what Jesus is saying Get dressed, ben, put the armor on and hand the battle over to me and watch me move. Watch me move, father. In the name of Jesus, we thank you. We thank you tonight, lord, that this bread symbolizes the body of Christ and as we break bread together tonight across the world, father, we thank you that there is power. In the name of Jesus and Lord, we want to make sure that we're dressed and we are ready for what is coming to the shoreline of the UK. Spirit of the living God, I pray that you will fill us to the full measure of thy glory, lord, that we will feel the power of God in our lives, that we will feel the Holy Spirit in our heart, our mind, our body and our soul. Lord, dress us fit for purpose. So bless this bread in Jesus' name. Amen.
Speaker 2:Sister and brother, wherever you are, I've got to tell you tonight. Take a few minutes, take a few minutes out and say, lord, help me to dress correctly, because when we dress according to the word. You haven't got to fight. You will find the tiredness will go. You will find the fear disappears. You will find depression melts like wax. You will find yourself in a place of peace, right amongst Psalm 23. Even though I go through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil Because you are with me, your rod and your staff. They comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Do you realize? There's a banquet waiting for you right on the battlefield of life, and God will refuel you right in the face of the devils in your life.
Speaker 2:Be bold enough to be dressed in the armor. Be bold enough to walk to the valley. Be bold enough to go to that place and allow yourself just to look at the enemy. Don't draw a punch, don't kick, don't headbutt. In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, just stand and be strong in the full armor and say my God's got me in the full armor, and say my God's got me, my God's got me.
Speaker 2:Let me tell you this tonight Lucifer, my God's got me. My King has washed me in the blood of Jesus. I'm dressed and I'm ready. You can't puncture this armor. You can't get through this armor. I'm covered in the blood, the crimson tide, from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet. You can't get near me, lucifer. You head to the sole of my feet. You can't get near me, lucifer. You can't touch me in the name of Jesus, because I'm chosen, I'm blessed and highly favoured, and I'm dressed and I'm at peace. There's nothing more powerful than a Christian born again and at peace. Father, cover me in the blood of Jesus, dress me fit for purpose In Jesus' name. Amen. Tonight let's pray. Tonight, let's get down, let's get right down to the nuts and bolts. Let's say, father, in the name of Jesus. Let's get right down to the nuts and bolts. Let's say Father, in the name of Jesus, I've dressed myself according to religion and to church, and I've dressed myself according to the ministry and the church place that I go.
Speaker 2:Lord, I don't want to dress in the way of the world. I want to dress in the full armour, lord. I don't want to be involved in the plastic catwalk of church. I want to be with the warriors. I want to be with the Joshua and Caleb's. I want to be with the Esther's. I want to be, dear God, with those that stand on the word of God. I want to be, dear God, standing strong in the scripture. I want to walk down to the valley of dryness. I want to command those bones to come alive. I want to speak, lord, to that dead situation. I want to see death move out of my way, lord. I want to see cancer bow to the name of Jesus. I want to see sickness gone. I want to see mental health dissolved, in the name of Jesus. I want to see ADHD go in the name of Jesus. I want to see healings right now. I want to see fear go in the name of Jesus. I want to be dressed. I want to be ready, lord, in the name of Jesus, lord, I want to be dressed in the full armor of God. I want to be covered in the blood of Jesus. I want to be ready for the second coming of Jesus.
Speaker 2:Lord, I don't want to be connected to church. I want to be connected to the King, lord. I want to know that I'm grafted into the vine. I, lord, god, don't want to belong to the plastic knives and fork brigade down the road. I want to know that I'm in the kingdom. I want to be walking with warriors. I want to be walking with people that are strong in the scriptures. I don't want to be hanging around and playing table tennis with the devils. I don't want to be going backwards and forwards trying to prove myself, trying to prove my God.
Speaker 2:I want to be dressed. I want to be ready. I want to be standing on the rock of all ages. I want to know that my Redeemer lives and because he lives, I can face tomorrow. I want to know that El Shaddai has got me, jehovah Jireh has got my back. I want to know that the King is with me.
Speaker 2:I want to be knowing that when I look around in the fire of life, I see someone walking with me and his name is Jesus. When I'm in a crisis, I call on the name and he puts angels to fly it. I want to call on the greatest name in heaven and earth and he commands a platoon of angels. I want to tell God right now Lord, right now, in the name of Jesus, lord, put them angels to fly concerning me so that they will pick me up by their hands, so that I will not strike my foot against a rock. In the name of Jesus, I command cancer to go, lord in the name of Jesus. I command fear to go, lord, in the name of Jesus. I command the plastic knives and fork to get out of my life. In the name of Jesus, lord, I command sickness and disease to bow. In the name of Jesus.
Speaker 2:Lord, I'm not going to walk in the name of the world. I'm going to walk in the fire of the Holy Spirit. I'm going to walk in the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. I'm going to walk in the power of the Holy Ghost. I'm going to walk in the power of the Word, lord, I'm going to put on the armor of God and I'm going to stand fierce against the devil's schemes. Lord, I'm going to kick over the table tennis table of the devil. Lord, let them get on with it.
Speaker 2:Lord, I'm going to seek my savior. I'm thirsty, I'm hungry, lord, I want to be filled to the full measure. Lord, I'm grafted into the vine and no one can separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. Lord, I want to feel your power. I want to walk in glory. I want to walk in holiness, lord, I want to walk in divine intervention through the power of the Holy Spirit. I want to see the glory of God across the streets.
Speaker 2:Lord, I'm tired of walking the wider world. I don't want to walk with the crowd. I don't want to walk with social media. I don't want to walk with the people on WhatsApp, on this group, that group. I want to walk with the King. I want to be found in the name of Jesus Christ. I want to be under the blood. I want to make sure my name is stamped in the Lamb's Book of Life. Spirit of the living God, touch my life like never before, heal my hurts, take my pain, cover me in the blood of Jesus.
Speaker 2:Brother and sister, we're out of here. May God bless you right now, in the name of Jesus, we've got to pray for Israel. We've got to pray for the UK and we've got to pray that. Lord, I want to be dressed ready because I ain't got to fight anymore. Aren't you tired of fighting? Aren't you tired of backwards? This way, that way. Don't play table tennis with the devil. Walk in the kingdom of God and hold that place and you stand, bold, tall and you stand and you be like a lion and a warrior for Jesus Christ. Stand and be still. Thank you for joining us tonight, wherever you are across the world, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We are out of here. It's time for kebab in the name of Jesus. Chicken or pizza, I'm not sure what the Uber driver's got at the door, but God bless you in the name of Jesus. Never give up.
Speaker 1:Dress yourself in the full armour of God. We'll see you soon. Take care. God bless. Thank you for of God, We'll see you think. And, of course, for more inspiration, visit us anytime at rbchristianradionet. Until next time, stay encouraged, stay faithful and know this you are not alone.
