Prayer for Hope and Encouragement Romans 15:13 – @89 Daily Christian Prayer Podcast
Prayer for Hope and Encouragement | Romans 15:13 – Daily Christian Prayer Podcast
In a world weighed down by uncertainty, despair, and spiritual fatigue, finding hope is not optional—it’s essential for survival. Today’s Daily Christian Prayer Podcast with Reverend Ben Cooper offers a powerful five-minute devotional prayer, drawing strength from Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
This intimate prayer meditation speaks directly to the heart of those who feel worn out by life’s constant pressures. From financial stress and broken relationships to health crises and loneliness, we often find ourselves questioning whether real hope is still possible. Reverend Ben Cooper, speaking from London, England, reminds us that hope is not passive—it is a decision of faith. As he prays, “Lord, I’m not going to allow the past hurts and the worries of now to affect me,” listeners are guided into a deeper trust in God’s unchanging promises.
The prayer also connects to Ezekiel’s vision of dry bones, reminding us that God breathes life into what seems dead, restoring joy and peace even in seasons of despair. Through scripture and prayer, we are called to rise above discouragement and receive the renewing presence of the Holy Spirit.
This devotional time creates spiritual space for listeners worldwide—whether commuting in busy cities, reflecting at home, or seeking encouragement during work breaks. It is here, in the stillness of prayer, that we can “fully recharge our spiritual batteries” and remember that God is not only the God of our past and future, but the God of our present moment.
Life Application: How do we apply this prayer to daily life? By choosing hope as a daily posture, not just an emotion. When anxiety rises, when loneliness sets in, or when depression threatens to overwhelm, we can intentionally declare God’s promises over our situation. Hope becomes the anchor that steadies us, reminding us that no season of despair is permanent, and no situation is beyond the reach of God’s renewing power.
Whether you are in London, Australia, the United States, Africa, or anywhere around the world, this global prayer community welcomes you.

Speaker 0:Now, without further ado, let's begin to pray Wherever you are across the world. Today we welcome you into this prayer time, and the title of prayer this morning is the prayer of hope. You know we are looking for hope. You know we have never been in such a spiritual crisis across the world. Everything is happening, but we can never give up hope. So the scripture that we come from this hour is Romans 15, verse 13. May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with the hope and the power of the Holy Spirit. Today, lord, we want overflow. Today we want to overflow. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, father, we want to fill that overflow of the Holy Spirit, lord, we we pray for as we travel, as we live, as we move, lord, as we blend through the world, father, as we walk up the corridor of life, we believe in the power of prayer, we believe in miracles, we believe in the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. So, lord, we pray for hope in difficult times today, whatever's going on in our lives today, we pray for the miracles to abound in the mighty name of jesus christ. We pray also for encouragement, lord, when we're feeling a bit low and a bit weary and a bit exhausted of life. So, lord, will you strengthen us, lord, through the, the general run of life, will you strengthen us through life issues, will you carry us by your presence and your precious word. But, father, we pray for one another today as we all stand on the gospel of hope. Lord, as we see the platform as a world unfolding, we need hope and, lord, through the hope, we need encouragement.
Speaker 0:So today, lord, we thank you for Romans 15, verse 13. The God of hope will fill us with joy. So, lord, we believe that we are filled with joy. And not only have we got joy, lord, but we got peace and we're learning to trust in you. We're learning, lord, to lean into Jesus. So this morning, wherever my brothers and sisters are across this world, lord, we lean into the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Speaker 0:Father, we thank you that joy and peace is in my heart today, lord. I'm not going to have it any other way, lord. However, I've woken up today, lord. Lord, I'm not going to allow the past hurts and the pains and the worries of now to affect me. Lord, I'm going to rise on the wings as eagles and I'm going to soar today, lord, and I'm going to believe that joy and peace is in my heart. That is part of your plan for my life and, Lord, I want you to give me encouragement to be bold and to be strong and not, lord, to be down but Lord, not to engage, lord, in negative actions of the world, but, lord, to engage in the gospel of hope and say Jesus, today is the day, today is the day of salvation, lord, and I rise, lord, and I rest in the word of God and Father.
Speaker 0:I thank you that God's encouragement will give us comfort and peace, lord. We hope, lord and we pray for hope, lord, to overcome depression and worry and fear, father, all this stuff that's going on around the world. Father, will you give us strength today, lord? We need encouragement, lord, as we commute, as we live life, as we move forward and however we look at life. Lord, we pray for encouragement today. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray for strength and hope in hard seasons and whatever season we're in at the moment, lord, whatever season is blowing our way, lord, whatever season is coming down the corridor of our life, father, we believe, lord, that the fire of God will keep us safe in the season that we walk in.
Speaker 0:So, father, we thank you that you are the God of hope and you are the God of love and you are the God of encouragement and you are the God of yes and amen. You are Jehovah Jireh, jehovah Nissi, jehovah Shalom, and we stand on the word of God. And Lord, father, will you renew that strength in our bones, lord? Will you renew the strength, dear God, lord, we think about that great prophet, lord, when you called him down, god, to the valley of dryness. Lord, you told him to prophesy, to speak over the valley of dryness. Lord, we speak over our lives, we speak over the nation that we're in and we're hopeful today. We're hopeful in difficult times, that these bones will live again, that this valley will come to life again, lord, that the structure will rise. And, lord, we pray that you will breathe life into our lungs.
Speaker 0:Today, lord, we want our bodies to expand with the Holy Spirit. Lord, we want to stand tall and strong today. So, wherever we are across the world, we believe in miracles and we pray for hope and encouragement. In the greatest name in heaven and earth, and at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow shall bow. So today, lord, as we pray for hope and encouragement, we thank you for Romans 15, verse 13. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Lord, we pray that the Holy Spirit will fill us today to the full measure, that we will be fully charged today, wherever we are across this world, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Thank you for joining me today. May the Lord bless you and keep you. We will see you tomorrow on our daily Christian prayer podcast. Until tomorrow.
