“Prayer for Justice, Unity, and Healing Across Nations - Micah 6:8 – @87 Daily Christian Prayer Podcast”
Prayer for Justice, Unity, and Healing in a Divided World | Micah 6:8 – Daily Christian Prayer Podcast
📖 Scripture: Micah 6:8 – “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Where do we turn when the world feels divided, anxious, and broken? In this episode of the Daily Christian Prayer Podcast, Reverend Ben Cooper leads a powerful prayer meditation from London, England, rooted in the timeless wisdom of Micah 6:8. This scripture is more than ancient text—it is a divine blueprint for healing today’s fractured societies, offering three simple but profound instructions: act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.
From the streets of London to communities across Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and America, believers are crying out for unity, fairness, and restoration. This prayer acknowledges the harsh realities of modern life—racial tension, political unrest, cultural division, economic disparity, and even denominational separation within the church. Reverend Ben boldly addresses these global challenges while calling listeners back to the simplicity of God’s requirement for His people.
Social media, politics, and global headlines constantly amplify division. Families are torn apart by differing views, communities fractured by inequality, and nations destabilized by conflict. Yet Micah 6:8 cuts through the noise: live with justice, walk with mercy, and remain humble before God. Reverend Ben’s prayer invites listeners to move beyond worldly categories—postcode, race, denomination, or class—

Speaker 1:Now, without further ado, let's begin our prayer time together. So, wherever you are across the world, may the Holy Spirit lead you. Today's title of our prayer together in this quick-fired five minutes is a very interesting title. It's praying for justice, unity and social healing, and the scripture is coming from the book of Micah, chapter 6, verse 8. Very interesting text. He has shown you, o mortal, what is good and what does the Lord require of you To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Holy Spirit, will you help me to act justly, to love mercifully and to walk humbly with our God? So, lord, we pray for today, lord, that justice will abound. We pray, father, that justice in the world today, lord will overtake the evil and the depravity.
Speaker 1:In the name of Jesus, the justice of God, the law of God, the power of God, father, we pray for division. We pray for that divide that is so common in every area of life. We pray for that division, lord, that is in culture, that is in color, that is in life, in denomination, that is in church, that is in school, that is in business, that is in life, in denomination, that is in church, that is in school, that is in business, that is in humanity. We pray that we will never divide ourselves and, lord, that we will never box ourselves in to a postcode or to a culture. But, lord, we pray, lord, that we will break out of that Lord and we will find the freedom in the kingdom so that we can walk in justice and in love and in power and in the Holy Spirit. Father, we pray for healing in society. Today we pray, lord, for social media that divides, lord, we pray for social media that brings this trend of Lucifer. We pray, father, for these trends on social media that we won't get caught in that.
Speaker 1:Lord, when we see unjust things, when we see, lord, a separation, we pray for unity. Today we pray for unity, lord, through every tribe, every tongue, every color, every culture, every vibrant way of living, that there will be unity in the name of Jesus and today, god, help me to act and to walk justly, in the mercy and in the love of God. And Lord, help me to walk humbly. Lord, humble me today. Lord, help me to walk humbly in the name of Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1:We pray, lord, for fairness in the workplace and schools. We pray for justice in the courts and in the legal battles. We pray, lord, for healing in broken societies across the world. Lord, I pray for my area and my town, lord, where I am at this moment in time. I pray, lord for justice. I pray for social helps. In the name of Jesus, I pray, lord for mercy. Lord, we pray for every town in which we live in. We pray for every area we walk in, lord.
Speaker 1:We pray, lord for justice and unity today and social healing. Lord, that there won't be no divide, lord, through age, culture, society, postcodes, criteria where we work, where we live, the school that we go to, the school that we don't go to, whether we're in private accommodation, whether we're in social housing. Lord, we pray that there won't be any division, there will be unity in the name of Jesus and Father. That difficult one, lord, the unity of the church. We pray, lord, that the church will unite through the gospel of Jesus Christ, that there won't be any denominational divide, that there won't be any theological divide, but, lord, that we will all come to the cross of Calvary and at the cross, father, we lay everything down as human beings, as Christians, as Bible-believing believers. We pray for justice today and the fire of God today, through the church out, the church, in life, in every setting that we walk in Spirit of the living God, make a way where there seems to be no way, bring unity and justice to the house, to life, to church Divisions where nations are divided. We pray for unity and love, mercy and humbleness. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, father.
Speaker 1:We thank you for the book of Micah, lord, chapter 6, verse 8. Lord, you tell us that you have shown us our mortality and you've shown us what is good. So today, lord, help us to recognize what is good in the name of Jesus Christ, help us to walk in good and Lord, what do you require from us? Because that's what it says in the book of micah, chapter 6, verse 8. What is required of us today? To act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly before our god. Spirit of the living. God, help us to walk humbly, help us to walk unitedly in the power of the holy spirit in In Jesus' name, amen. Thank you for joining me today. May God bless you and keep you. See you tomorrow on another Daily Christian Prayer podcast. Until tomorrow.
