Beyond Religion: Finding True Salvation in Jesus – Unshakeable: A Daily Christian Devotional Podcast

Episode Description:
What if everything you thought about church, salvation, and religion was turned upside down? In this devotional from London, England, Reverend Ben Cooper unpacks Psalm 91 to reveal a life-changing truth: you don’t need church, you need Jesus.

This message challenges the tendency to substitute religious performance for a genuine relationship with Christ. From the thief on the cross who entered paradise without rituals or sermons, to Jesus’ words to Nicodemus about being “born again,” we uncover the radical reality that salvation is not about institutions but about heart transformation.

Even as our bodies weaken, the soul remains eternal, “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Jesus Himself, “a man of sorrows,” understood pain, grief, and even mental anguish in Gethsemane—bringing hope to all who struggle with depression or anxiety.

Psalm 91 reminds us that true peace and freedom are not found in religious checklists but in faith in the King of Kings. When we dwell in His presence, we discover divine refuge, strength, and hope for eternity.

Biblical Foundation:

  • Psalm 91:1–2 – “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
  • John 3:3 – “No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
  • Luke 23:42–43 – “Today you will be with me in paradise.”

Episode Highlights:

  • Salvation is not religious ritual but personal faith in Jesus.
  • The thief on the cross shows that grace, not performance, secures eternity.
  • Our bodies fade, but our souls remain eternal.
  • Jesus carried sorrow and grief, offering hope to those who suffer.
  • Psalm 91 as a refuge of faith, hope, and peace in uncertain times.

Life Application:
Don’t measure your faith by outward performance. Ask instead: Do I know Jesus personally? Salvation is not a system but a gift of grace that transforms your heart and brings peace in chaos.

Thank you help keep this ministry thriving. Don't forget to subscribe and find us online at rbchristianradionet. Stay encouraged, stay faithful and know this you are not alone return to that beautiful book of psalm.

Speaker 2:

We're going to go to psalm 91. I will read the entire psalm, you know, grab yourself a bible and this is really, really important for those that are in the house please you see the bibles on the chairs please, take a bible away. Oh, take a bible away from you. It is really, really important that you take a bible away. The reason we say that is because we got to just deliver the word of god and just leave it on the train, leave, leave it in a shopping trolley, leave it where you live your life, just, please, take a Bible home with you. Today. It's critical. It's critical that we do that. So, wherever you are, you know, may God bless you and carry you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. So, just before we go into the scripture, I just quickly want to mention this For those that are following us on the World of podcasts thank you very much and those on the rb, christian radio. You know we we have set ourselves a high bar at the moment in time because we we have found through lots of things that we've been doing. You know in the podcasting over these years that we've been doing all that sort of stuff. There's been a massive acceleration and and also god has led us, uh, into a new area. What we're doing now, we're doing uh six. This happens six times a day six, five to six, five to seven minutes of prayer that goes out across the world. We recalled them live, they go straight out. It's a big thing that we're doing. We got one that is released at 12, uh midnight, and then the next one is is 3 am, 5 am, 12 pm, and then uh 8, and then 8, then 8pm at night and then 10pm at night. So we're doing 6, lots of prayers. You can find that, and people are all around the world and there's been a massive acceleration. So it's prayer and you can find that on our daily devotion and it's daily devotional time. With Reverend Ben Cooper, we've changed the way that we title things in the way of Spotify and all that stuff, and just because it's our daily devotion. So there's a month's worth on there. So please go and find that it is prayer.

Speaker 2:

Prayer is the key. That is what we all need in our lives. So may God bless you and carry you wherever you are, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Now let's get straight into the word of God. Let's get straight into the word. This nation is in desperate need, desperate need and, uh, I encourage every one of you not to associate yourself with a church and not put your stake in the sand with a church. But I would say, lift your stake out and be very wary of every church. Be wary of every church, every pastor, every teacher, everyone, me, every. And what I'm referring to is the, is the doctrine, because we need clean and sound doctrine. So what I what the bible says, is test every spirit, test every message, every prayer, everything you know, because we have got to get, we have got to get under the covering of the word of god, we've got to get under the covering of the word.

Speaker 2:

We don't actually need church. Church is is irrelevant. We are watching a great falling away. Yes, churches, I understand what we're saying. In certain areas, there's a great place where we come and we gather and worship. Yeah, I get that.

Speaker 2:

But outside of that fabric, you know, as we're here for a week, you know all the time things are happening through the church. You know what's really important is we understand that I don't need church, I need jesus, because jesus is the high priest. He is great, I am. You don't need me in your life. You don't need any pastor, you don't need any leader. I'm sorry pastors and bishops, I'm sorry cardinals and all them great names you got. And apostolic, whoever you are, fred, bill, george, all them great names you got behind yourself. It's irrelevant. We just got to tell everyone you don't need church, you need Jesus. You got to be born again. Because if jesus wanted us to be in church, he would have preached on on that message that he gave to nicodemus you must be in church to receive a born again. No, jesus didn't. He said you must be born again. That's and do you know what I love about that time as well? Ealing wasn't around, aog wasn't around, catholicism wasn't around the church. No, no, church was around. It wasn't around.

Speaker 2:

It's amazing when you think about that and when you look at the persecuted church as well. The persecuted church 365 million displaced christians running for their lives. They're not bothered about a church, because every church is bulldozed down. They ain't got a church. But god's meeting them in houses. God's meeting them under trees. God's meeting them in caves. God's meeting them under trees. God's meeting them in caves. God's meeting them on tops of roof buildings. God is meeting them when there's bullets flying over their head. God is meeting them in their villages. God is meeting them through the power of the Holy Spirit. So let's just remind ourselves God don't need the church, because Jesus Christ is the head of the church and we are part of the body and we are you. You know, and wherever you go, wherever you go, I pray that you will give a Bible away. The greatest gift you'll ever give away and, as we're rising up to that 25th of December, you know, the greatest gift you can ever buy for anyone is a Bible. You know, the greatest gift you'd give anybody across the world is a Bible.

Speaker 2:

So, without further ado, let's drive straight into the Word of God, psalm 91,. And the Scripture says Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, I will say of the Lord. He is my refuge, my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Surely, he will save you from the foulest snare, from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness will be your shield and your rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks at darkness time, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side. Come on, this is beautiful. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You only need to here we go command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways, to lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against the stone.

Speaker 2:

Verse 13 of psalm 91. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra and trample against that great lion and that serpent. Verse 14 this is so powerful. From here onwards, because he loves me, says the lord, I will rescue him. I will protect him for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me and I will rescue him. I will protect him for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him With long life. Will I satisfy him and show him my salvation? There is a key there.

Speaker 2:

The last two words give us a clear reference to salvation. Sits with someone, and someone only. Salvation. Don't sit with me, salvation. Don't sit on a prayer cloth that you've ordered all the way from across the pond for 50. Salvation don't sit within any church. Salvation does not sit with any pastor. Salvation can't be given by any human being. Salvation comes from above, because you've got to be born again.

Speaker 2:

I love the fact that these scriptures don't mention church. How we understand church when you look at these scriptures, this psalm 91. This is so powerful, this psalm, we would never be able to. If I studied this and preached and and sermonized and exposed all these texts and don't do what we do until jesus come back, we would never get to the end of this. This is so powerful, this is so steeped. So salvation like never before. We've got to work out our salvation with fear and trembling because we got so much coming out of the social media church, out of the church.

Speaker 2:

You know I need to tell you that god loves you. I need to tell you that you were created before the very out of the church. You know I need to tell you that God loves you. I need to tell you that you were created before the very foundation of the world, with every failing, with every flaw in our lives. God chose us, god created us. He is the creator of heaven and earth, and God is the creator.

Speaker 2:

Do you know that the devil can't create nothing? The devil can't create, he messes up, he tries to mess things up. The devil has no power. Look at what this scripture says. The devil has no strength, he is useless, he is worthless, he is nothing. So why does the UK church give it so much and give him so much authority? Don't talk about the devil, because where is he? He's under your feet.

Speaker 2:

And what did Jesus Christ do at the cross of Calvary the three crosses that we got? What did Jesus do at the cross? The Bible says that Christ disarmed the darkness, the principalities. He disarmed it by the precious blood of Jesus. And if you are a Bible believing believer, if you are blood washed and sanctified, if you are born again, there is so much power living within you. God brought you in and God will take you out. God is in full charge of every life, of every breath. No one is in charge of nothing except God. It looks like the government, it looks like the authorities, it looks like this, it looks like that, but it actually isn't, because the whole world is moving to the gospel of the word of God. The whole world is moving from Genesis to Revelation. No one or we're going to hit a word now.

Speaker 2:

Predestination Predestined you were predestined, I were predestined. There are certain markers in our lives that we will hit. Even if we give God a swerve for a few years, he will get us to a situation he will get us to those stones. It's very interesting when the Israelites came out of the river of the sea and when they came across and when I was in the middle, they took markers. There are markers in your life that you will hit, no matter what you think, how great you think you are or I am bigger than God. Plan in your, your life. God will get you to certain destinations in your life because they are critical. And that's the same with Jesus. What are you saying? Jesus had critical places that he had to hit. As a human being, as God, as a triune Godhead, as a father, son, holy Spirit, he had to hit these places and we understand where they are. We get those points that Christ had to hit, their markers, them stones, those points that Christ had to hit, them markers, them stones in his life. He had to hit them points.

Speaker 2:

The first one we understand is the crib. We know that the crib was a stone was a marker for Jesus because the prophecies were looking at the crib and the problem we got with the church. It loves the crib. I'm dreading Christmas around in the world of church because we seem to just like mess about with straw and hay and get the kids dressed up as sheep and all this and doing all that sort of stuff and and we put too much emphasis on baby jesus. Is he coming back as a baby? What's he coming back as? That's finished, that's gone. He's coming back as the king. So that was a marker. Jesus had to hit that point because Isaiah and the prophets foretold the prophecies. So when you look at Psalm 91, that we're in, this Psalm is so powerful. It is speaking so loud and clear. So Christ hit these markers. The first was the crib and then suddenly we hear the gospel of John saying the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. Bang. That was that next one, and then we find it is the garden of Gethsemane.

Speaker 2:

Why is the garden so critical in Christ's journey? I call it the 50-50 place, the 50-50 garden because Jesus went. If it's possible, is there another way? Fully God, fully human, fully, fully king, fully savior of the world. So the garden was a critical point that Jesus had to hit. Why did he have to get to the garden? Because he was recovering what was lost in the first garden. What humanity lost in the first garden, god started to physically repair and restore in the second garden.

Speaker 2:

So the second garden, the garden of Gethsemane, the 50-50 Jesus forgive me, lord, don't strike me down with a thunderbolt, but it's the quickest way for us to understand. He said, if it's possible, so could we even go a little bit further? Brace yourself for what I'm about to say. Did Jesus have a little bit of depression and fear? I think he did, because the Bible says he was a man of sorrow. He was a man of sorrow and he was a man of pain.

Speaker 2:

So anyone that is going through mental health at this moment, jesus Christ has been there, because you can't get any greater mental torture than being in the garden of Gethsemane, knowing what you know. And at any given time he has quoted that I could command angels that you could not count that would get me out of here in the name of Jesus. He didn't need Ant and Dec to say get me out of here, he could just say it, get me out of here, I'm going. But he stayed in the garden. So the mental capacity of Christ was stretched and tested. So mental health isn't new. It really isn't new, even self-harming.

Speaker 2:

You go right back to 1 Kings, chapter 19,. You will read about self-harming, demonic side of self-harming. You read about the fake prophets, the bow. The Bible says that they was jumping up and down on the altar. They was in a trance, they was in a rhythm of euphoria and they were slicing and cutting themselves. So there is nothing new under the sun. So we find everything in the word of God. So Christ. So when you look at these scriptures that we're in, I just want to take us a moment, just coming back to where we are verse 14, because he loves me.

Speaker 2:

If Jesus wanted us to be saved with the fabric of the church, he would have made that clear. And let's think about the thief on the cross for one moment. The thief on the cross how many alpha courses did he do? How many discipleship groups did he do? How many Billy Graham messages did he listen to? How many times did he get baptized? Because we love that in the Pentecostal movement. Then every time we move church we get baptized again. You know how many times did he preach? Did he preach? How many times did he go on a 12-week course? How many Christians prayed for him?

Speaker 2:

When you look at that man on that cross, that gives me complete and absolute comfort. He didn't read a piece of literature. He didn't have a message preached to him. He wasn't baptized in the Holy Spirit. He didn't have a clue what being born again was. He never walked into a church. He never heard a message on social media. He never went into a celebrity church. He never listened to what we call one of the great preachers of old. He hung on the cross in the pain and the suffering that I would never be able to understand. As he hung on that cross a sinner, a cutthroat, a murderer.

Speaker 2:

What did jesus say? Don't worry, son. In the twinkling of an eye, see, this is what this scripture is about. When you look at the word of God, it erases so much of the church as we know the church, and it puts everything on. I just want your heart bent. I'm not interested in what you do down there, I'm not worried about how many times you do this and that. I just love you. And God is telling everybody online and in the house today. He loves you, god loves you. And you haven't got to dance anymore, you haven't got to jump to anyone's tune, you haven't got to go on another course, you haven't got to have a thousand prayers laid over you. And don't send any more money to Peter Pop popoff, by the way. And I don't need revelational knowledge to tell you that one be careful of every church, of every denomination, of every message, of every preacher, not because of the human, because of what they're preaching.

Speaker 2:

What is what is coming across the pulpits? What is actually coming across the pulpits? The scripture that all we all should be resting in is the fundamental text of the whole word of god. And what is it? John 3, 3, you must be born again. The old testament and new testament is, is around that, and when you preach that, you've got everything. If you just preach out of john 3, 3, you've got every, every sermon, you've got every scripture coming out of that. Because what have you got in John 3, 3? You must be born again. What does it mean? I can't go back.

Speaker 2:

Nicodemus says I can't go back, it's impossible, we can't go back. What am I going to do? Jesus said you can't do anything, son, but it's what my father can do. What do you mean? I'm a religious man. Jesus said to him you're Israel's teacher. So what was Jesus actually making a point of saying? You are so knowledgeable? It's dangerous, because knowledge puffs up. Knowledge can be danger, knowledge can be too much. See, we don't need money, you don't need an education, you don't need an academic stretch. What you need is a hunger for the word of God, because when you've got a hunger for the word of God, it will drive you, it will take you, it will carry you. Because this is what God says to me and to you today Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him. No preacher, no service rescuing, just God. Do you need rescuing today? Do you need rescuing from life itself? Yes, I do, jesus. I'm not frightened to tell you I need rescuing today. Lord, will you take me up, beam me up, scotty, take me out of here in the name of Jesus, because the world, we are in birth pains. We are in birth pains. We are awaiting the second coming of Jesus. And people are going here. He goes. He's talking about the second coming of jesus. And people are go here. He goes. He's talking about the second coming of jesus. Again, hallelujah, because he's coming back.

Speaker 2:

As I said, those destinational points have been fulfilled firstly the crib, the garden, the cross, the grave, and then what the throne, and then what's after the throne. So those destinational points of Christ have been hit. The destinational points have been fulfilled. The scriptures have been prophesied and spoken and have been fulfilled, and we're waiting on one more prophecy to come. We're waiting on one more and know what, at one point, not too far down the line of life, what is going to happen? There's a horse being prepared, and it's not the grand national, it's not ascot. They're gone. Now we're waiting for the king to come back on the greatest horse the world has ever seen, and that horse is going to carry the king of kings and the lord of lords. And what's going to be really interesting, as I always say this, if church is operating on a sunday, there'll be many pastors and leaders still be preaching when jesus comes back, because they're not born again.

Speaker 2:

The bible says work out your salvation with fear and trembling, but if you love god, if you love the king of Kings and the Lord of Lords, look at this scripture.

Speaker 2:

Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him, I will protect him.

Speaker 2:

You don't need an army, you don't need anyone in your life because they won't be able to protect you like the King can protect you. There is something about the blood of Jesus. There is something that is so powerful about the covering of the anointing and the power. It doesn't escape us from the trials and the tribulations, but what it does is, when I go through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff. They comfort me.

Speaker 2:

Psalm 23, six verses power, authority. You know if you're in trouble and if you need help. Psalm 23 will get you out the valley, that's for sure. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of blue water sorry, no, even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff. They comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runneth over. Surely, goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the lord forever. I don't live in this church forever. It's not about that. The house of the lord in the kingdom, do you realize that you belong to the king? And I'm not talking to our little friend just 10 miles up the road. I know more about his corgis and I know about the king.

Speaker 2:

At the moment, where's the king disappeared to? There's only one king that I want to be found under. There's only one king, and his name is jesus. When you think about jesus, he's the only king that walked this earth that didn't have an earthly palace. He's the only king that walked this earth that healed people without any pharmaceuticals. He's the only king that gave his life as a ransom. He's the only king that they called master and he didn't have a degree. He's the only king that walked this earth In clothes that you would let him walk by in. He's the only king that wasn this earth in clothes that you would let him walk by in. He's the only king that wasn't worried about his attire. He wasn't worried about servants, because what did he say? He's the only king that serves. Hang on a minute. I thought the monarchy served.

Speaker 2:

No, they're just a revenue income string. They're getting paid for what they do. Someone tell me where Jesus got paid in the scripture. Someone tell me where Jesus got 20,000 quid, because a lot of these preachers get $20,000, 20,000 pounds for every sermon that they preach. Someone tell me where Jesus got paid. Did he get paid? They tried to buy him for 30 pieces of silver.

Speaker 2:

You won't find anywhere that jesus christ charged for a prayer. He didn't charge. Like good old peter popoff he's getting hammering today from this pulpit. Jesus didn't send a prayer cloth out. He didn't send anything out. He's the only king that served, as in serving, as we understand it, he's the only king that owns the world.

Speaker 2:

See, the kings think they own the world. The kings, the authoritarians, think they own the earth. And do you know what? They only believe they own what they see. What they don't own they can't believe Because they don't own anything, because it's just on bits of paper.

Speaker 2:

I've got the deeds to this. I've got the deeds to that. It's irrelevant. It's irrelevant. It's absolutely irrelevant to what we think that we own, because we don't own actually anything. We are literally. We own nothing. Think about this the amount of funerals that I do is uncountable, and every time I'm at the crematorium I'm there more times than you can count.

Speaker 2:

We all go out the same way, are buried and laid to rest. People that are absolutely K-code sorry, rich as anything, absolutely own properties all around the world, cars beyond human understanding, money, and when they go out in that casket, their car keys are left behind, their mortgage deeds are left behind, everything of materialism is left behind. When we go, we all go out the same way. We all go out the exact same way with nothing that we have worked for. So actually, we own nothing, but the world and the system wants to tell us that it's yours. You own it. We don't own anything. There's something that we do and that's salvation. That's one thing that we have that can never be taken away. It will never be taken away from you. The love of God will never be taken away from you.

Speaker 2:

Back to the Psalm, psalm 91, and we're in verse 14. Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him, I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. You know acknowledging the name of Jesus, when you acknowledge the greatest name in heaven and earth, when you realize that there is power in the name and you carry a name. You carry the name of Jesus, you carry the name of the God of Israel. You carry the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. You have so much authority through the word of God, so why do I live such a lesser life? Why do I allow myself to get overwhelmed with materialism? Why do I allow myself to get overwhelmed with consumerism? Why do I allow myself to get overwhelmed with the worries of the world? Is it because I lack faith? No, it's because of the environment that we're in.

Speaker 2:

The world isn't talking about Jesus. It's portraying that Jesus doesn't live, he's not existent in any way, shape or form. The world is trying to prove that jesus christ isn't real. But he is real. He's the king, he's the living king, he's alive, he is well. He is the great I am. He is the bread of life, he is the good shepherd, he is el shaddai, he is the I am, he is the god above all gods.

Speaker 2:

Verse 14 because he loves me, says the lord, I will rescue him, I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name, he will call upon me. Do we call upon the church? Do we call upon pastor? Who do we call on in times of trouble? Jesus, jesus, lord, I need your help today. I need deliverance today. I need delivering from fear, from doubt, from worry, from uncertain days. Lord, deliver me in the name of Jesus. He will call upon me and I will answer him.

Speaker 2:

Do you ever feel like heaven has gone quiet? Do you ever pray so hard you've exhausted yourself and suddenly nothing? It's so quiet, it's scary. The world is so noisy on the outside, it's so loud, it's so noisy and you're praying in your car, when you're doing your chores, your life, when you're living and you're praying. God, help me in the name of Jesus. Father, in the name of Jesus, I need healing, I need a miracle and suddenly it goes quiet and nothing's happening. It's happening. It's happening.

Speaker 2:

You keep praying and you don't give up. You keep believing for the miracle. You don't give up. You keep praying that the Lord will bless your house. You don't give up. You keep praying. You keep praying and you keep praying. The Bible says the steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord. You keep walking. Faith and action go together. You never give up.

Speaker 2:

The devil is a liar and remind yourself through the scripture today that the devil is under your feet. The devil has no power. He has no power. It's all smoke and mirrors. What did Jesus say when he was in the wilderness. Man does not live on bread alone, but by every word that perceives out of the mouth of God. What is he talking about? The word, because it is the word. Because when you speak the word, what happens? When you speak the word, you look at the scripture. Let's drop back into the scripture a little bit further, verse 11 for he will command these angels concerning you, to guard your you in all your ways, for they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against the stone when you speak the word of god and you put the word of god to fly out. There is power, there is authority.

Speaker 2:

The devil runs at the name of jesus. How many denominations don't know the name of jesus? But every demonic force under the sun knows jesus. When the devils were out, when christ was out and the elders and the leaders came up, giving it large and swagger, the devils went who are you lot? We don't know you. But I tell you what. That's the one that we know. They wasn't bothered about the religious ones. They wasn't bothered about that because it's got no power, because the power sits in the almighty. And if you carry the almighty, what does that tell you. The devils will run at the name of Jesus. Sickness will bow at the name of Jesus. Fear will bow at the name of Jesus.

Speaker 2:

You know prayers that we pray prayer. I will never forget my mum's prayers. I've got to be careful how I get this, because this does me over. I've never spent so much time with someone that has had every sickness almost thrown at her from everywhere. I've never been with someone that prayed so hard in my entire life. And I mean that not just because she's my mum, but I watched my mum leave the earth. I watched her leave the earth and I prayed crazy. I prayed prayers that don't give up. But I realised.

Speaker 2:

I realised something when I watched my mum pass at Darren Valley on that table. Three words she said before she left the earth Jesus, jesus, jesus. Do you know what? You don't give up Right to the last breath. And God took her. The sickness didn't take her.

Speaker 2:

The disease didn't take her out, because every breath, every lung, every inhale, exhale, everything belongs to God, no matter how our bodies look, it is irrelevant. It doesn't matter about the physical, it's what's happening internally. It doesn't matter about the outside. That is irrelevant. Outside has got nothing to do with it. It's to do what's within, what is within. When you're filled with the word of God, it doesn't matter what the outside looks like. Yes, you go through pain. Yes, you go through physical issues. Yes, you've got mental health. Yes, it's very powerful. I understand that. I know that I'm in a valley like I've never been in before in my own life. Trust me, now is a time to seek Jesus like never before. But we don't give up.

Speaker 2:

So the prayers that I prayed over my mum I prayed, I prayed, I prayed, I prayed, I prayed, I prayed Healing, healing, healing, healing, healing, healing, healing. But then I realised it's not about healing. Hang on, hang on. I worked in a certain area of palliative care for about eight years. I prayed from I won't mention it, but you know what I'm saying, from young to you know, for everything I've watched every so many scenarios happen and I prayed and I prayed and I prayed and I prayed, didn't see one healing.

Speaker 2:

And suddenly I started to realize it's not the physical, it's the internal. It's that scripture from John 3.3. It's that scripture that Jesus said about you got to be born again. Because being born again is internal. This is just an earth suit, this is just the flesh, this is just the skin that we actually are, we're in. This is just a vessel, and the vessel has. It's nothing, but it's what's within. So when I realize what is within, and that is the power of the Holy Spirit, it doesn't matter if healing doesn't come. It doesn't matter because it's irrelevant, because it's what lies within. And this is what the scripture says With long life will I satisfy you and show you or show him my salvation With long life, straight away.

Speaker 2:

What do we think of healing? I've got to be fit, I've got to be well. It's not that. It's how you live within yourself. You know, when you look within yourself, I'm well inside. You know I'm well inside in the name of Jesus. I might have ailments outside, I might be hindered in certain areas of life, and we watch this and we see this in certain areas of life.

Speaker 2:

But the bible says in psalm do you know? Do you know you was created before the heavens were created? Do you realize that each and every one of us was formed in your mother's womb? Do you realize that physicality doesn't bother god? The physical realm has nothing to do with eternal value. It's just a suit that carries the inner you, it's just the skin that you're walking. Whether you walk or you can't walk, it is absolutely irrelevant what we look like, how we are, how we come into the world. It is absolutely irrelevant because what is over, above this physical realm, above healing, above prosperity, is salvation, because salvation sits within.

Speaker 2:

And this text, these last two words that we have at the end of Psalm 91, verse 16, and it says there, with long life, straight away, you can take that text and manipulate that and go. You're going to be healed in the name of Jesus. And then you go all through your life not being healed, not being healed. And who gets the blame? Not the prayer team, not the worshippers, god, god gets the blame. Well, when you think about creation, the devil can't create. The devil tries to destroy, he tries to muck up and mess about, but actually he has no power because everything is predestined, everything. So the devil, he's just under your boots. All he knows about you is your shoe size, because he reads your shoe size under me. He has no power. He has no power over you, over you. He has no authority over you. You have the authority over sickness, disease, lack. You have that power because you carry a power that we cannot really grasp because it is so powerful.

Speaker 2:

And then we talk about the spiritual realm that the church is too frightened to dabble in because it wants to look and talk about the physical before us. And it measures everything by the amount of people that are in the seats. It measures everything by what's in the bank. It measures everything by how many are on the prayer team. It measures everything by metric and by measures. And God said to David why are you taking a census? Don't measure what I'm doing, because you can't measure what God is doing. So it's irrelevant. It doesn't matter if you've had 15 baptisms, it doesn't matter about it, it's actually irrelevant. What's important is are you born again? Are you born again Because we are getting prepared for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Speaker 2:

He's coming back. Imagine what it's going to be like For those that heard that noise a day or two ago, whenever it was when those jets flew over and that boom, that noise it shook so much. What is it going to be like when Jesus Christ comes back? What is it going to be like when the King returns? What is it going to be like when the Saviorviour of the world comes back? The noise, the sound. What are we going to hear? We're going to hear the trumpet blasts. We're going to hear a sound that we've never heard before. It is going to be so loud, it is going to be so powerful.

Speaker 2:

But we measure everything by what we see. This world is measured by what we see how much money we have in our pocket, what we got tucked away. The tax man yeah, hallelujah, jesus, don't tell him this. Don't tell him that we have what we have. We have it tucked away, just in case. Just in case. And I looked at the church account and she was smiling in the name of jesus. When you look at this world, we measure everything by metrics.

Speaker 2:

The Bible says the just shall live by faith. We don't measure nothing because we don't need to measure nothing, because my God shall supply all my needs according to thy riches in glory. God will make a way. Even though I go through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. Why will you do that, god? Because the psalmist says because you acknowledge my name. That's all Jesus says. Just acknowledge my name, ben. Don't worry about church, don't worry about ministry, don't worry about your health, don't worry about anything in life If you acknowledge my name and if you do what the disciples did at the shoreline of Galilee.

Speaker 2:

What did they do? Drop your nets, nets, come and follow me. We understand that terminology. What he meant by drop your nets. When they drop their nets, it represented everything that they had in their hands their business, their life, their family, their children, everything. Because the bible says seek ye first, the kingdom of god and his righteousness, and everything else shall be added. See, it's got to be jesus first.

Speaker 2:

So when jesus was walking the shoreline, he said drop your nets, come and follow me. They had to lay everything down and that is the hardest thing for us to do is to surrender to surrender to the king because he's invisible, but he's actually not invisible because he's in your life. He's given us the greatest book the world has ever seen 66 books, 40 authors written over a time span of 1496 years. The greatest book the world has ever seen sold over 8 billion copies. 3 billion have been given away. As we said a few weeks ago, you, you know the good old Harry Potter series Not good, you know what I mean by that has sold 600 million. The Quran has sold what? Just over 800. Harry Potter's behind you, get ready. He's going to overtake you, but it can't overtake the word of God, because 8 billion Bibles, 8 billion Bibles, 8 billion Bibles 3 billion have been given away.

Speaker 2:

Think about the enormity of that. The whole world is talking about Jesus. The whole world is waiting for the coming of the King. The whole world is talking about John 3, 16. But God's so loved. Do you realize you're loved beyond human understanding? Do you realize that there is a life out there for you that you couldn't imagine or ask, and it is in the kingdom of God.

Speaker 2:

Why am I worrying? Because I've been brought up in a culture and a society that will teach me to worry. It teaches me to lean into the world. The world teaches me to lean into that. And when I lean into that, when I lean into them situations, I'll be worried, I'll be fearful. But when I lean into Jesus, jesus will say come on, come to me, all of you that are weary and heavily laden, I will give you rest. Do you need rest today? Do you need rest for your heart? Is your mind racing so fast? You can't think you heart Is your mind racing so fast you can't think you got brain fog.

Speaker 2:

Let's get to the end of the text. It says with long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation. Lord, what do you mean? Long life, eternity? Because this really isn't life. This is just a stopgap. This is just a breath. This is just a moment. This is just three score years and 10. This is just a moment. Eternity is beyond the calculator.

Speaker 2:

When you think about God, when you think about Christ, when you think about the Holy Spirit, they was before time, they are time, they created time. So when you think about eternity to the human mind and the concept of life or what we have now, it's just outside of vocabulary, it's outside of of physics, it's outside of this realm, because we gauge everything that we do and everything that we see by what we actually see. But the bible says now faith by faith, the just shall live by faith. We're going to come to the table in just a few moments, but I just want to read verse one of psalm 91 he who dwells in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of the almighty, I will say of the lord. He is my refuge, my fortress, my God in whom I trust.

Speaker 2:

No mention of church, no mention of ministry, no mention of religion. I actually believe God is bringing us back back to him and we're not looking at a revival with tents going up everywhere. We're looking at that quiet revival, that quiet revival inside of us when God is stirring, god is leading, god is opening our heart, god is bringing us to a place we're going to come to the table in just a few moments. And, as I always say, this is not a religious act. This is not and has not brought in and been brought in by the church. It has been brought in by the God of Israel. And when you study the Passover, the Passover is so powerful and it's so unbelievable to the human mind how it all works together. When you think about the Word of God, I believe I'm pretty sure that there's over 63,000 cross-references all the way through the Word of God you actually, when you cross-reference it, it even leads into more. The book is just beyond physics, it's beyond the mind.

Speaker 2:

If you are looking for change in your life, get yourself a Bible. If you're looking for change in every area of your life, get a Bible. But it will be the hardest book you'll ever read, because the enemy will try to distract you. He will try to distract you. He will try to distract you. The world will bring distractions. Once you say I'm going to start reading this, like never before, you watch everything break out. But if you went, do you know what? I'm going to read the Quran, or I'm going to read Harry Potter, we'll help you read that, we'll support you by reading it. But if you want to read the word of God, let me tell you this it will go upside down inside out. You won't have time to breathe, you'll be exhausted, you'll be weary. Work will be coming in the door, kids will be running around the walls, everything will be kicking off, everything will be breaking down, because the enemy actually knows.

Speaker 2:

He quoted that scripture. We know what the enemy knows and he knows that there is power in the word, and I want to let you know there is power in the word. So, wherever you are across the world, as we break bread together now, let this be the day, let this be the moment where you just remember me for saying this get in the word, get in the word. And this be the moment where you just remember me for saying this get in the word, get in the word and never let the scripture go. Never let it go. Never let this book go. The bible says do not let the book of the lord depart from your mouth. Meditate on it day and night so that you will be prosperous and successful. If, if he says it three times, come on, be strong and courageous. Be strong and courageous, never let this book of the Lord depart from your mouth. Meditate on it day and night. He's not talking about floating. He's not talking about transcendental meditation. He's talking about meditation according to the word.

Speaker 2:

Get the word in your spirit, get the word in your mouth. Get your Word in. Get the Word in. Get the Word in. Get the Word in. Get it in, get it in and get it in. When you think you've got it in, we haven't really got it in. You've got to go right back to the beginning. Keep it going. It's your life, it's our life, it's everything. Put it on your car, listen to it through your earbuds when you're at home, whatever you're doing, fall asleep listening to the word of God at night. Get the word in your spirit and then suddenly, you will start to see significant changes in what In me, because the word changes me, because the world is predestined to do what the world is going to do. But what happens is the word changes me, because I'm in the potter's hands, and when I'm in the potter's hands, when I'm in the master's hands, he shapes me. The word shapes me. It shapes me. It doesn't take the valley away. It doesn't take the crisis away. It doesn't take goliath away. It doesn't take jericho away. The red sea will always be there, the river jordan will be there, but it gives me the authority and the strength to go. I'm having it large today in the name of jesus because I know my redeemer, because when you know the king and you know the authority, suddenly nothing else matters. It doesn't matter how you're feeling yourself, because we live our lives by our emotions and our feelings. We live our lives by what we feel and what we perceive sensual perception, by touch, smell. We live our lives by that. But I can't live my life by that because I'll be an emotional wreck. I've got to live my life by faith. When I live my life by faith, and then it doesn't matter when I see another River Jordan, it doesn't matter with the Red Sea, it doesn't matter about this, it doesn't matter because I know Jesus and Jesus is a way maker. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. If I spent my life in social media, I would just die on the sofa, but if I put my life in the words, suddenly I become the man and the woman that God has called me to be. Age is irrelevant in the kingdom of God. Health is irrelevant in the kingdom of God. Money is irrelevant in the kingdom of god. Health is irrelevant in the kingdom of god. Money is irrelevant in the kingdom of god. They are trappings of the world. What you got to realize is who you are in god, who you are in the scripture, who you are in the power and the authority of the word of god. We got to break bread, father, in the name of jesus, we break bread together right now. You know we've got four minutes. We'll stay in the church. What I? We break bread together right now. You know we've got four minutes. We'll stay in the church. What I'm saying is we will click out of social media and the radio in just a few moments. We're going to break bread together.

Speaker 2:

So sorry for bringing this quickly to the forefront. So let's break bread together, wherever you are across the world and in the house with us right now in the name of Jesus. You know this bread symbolizes the body of Jesus. It's symbolic right now in the name of jesus. You know this bread symbolizes the body of jesus, is symbolic to the body of christ. The cup represents the cup of redemption, the blood of the lord jesus christ. The blood of christ that is over you. Do you realize that you are blood washed. You are sanctified, you are a child of the living god. No one owns you but the king, the. You belong to the King.

Speaker 2:

Father, in the name of Jesus, we break bread together right now, spirit of the living God, we pray that we will feel the holy fire of God in our lives. We pray, lord, god, for each and every one of us. We pray for ourselves now and we ask you, lord, that you'll strengthen us through the word of God. But bless this bread as we take it and we understand that it is bread in itself, but what it symbolizes is the body of Christ In Jesus' name. Amen, father, I thank you for this cup that symbolizes the blood of Jesus and I thank you, father, that there was blood shed at the cross from the garden to the cross. I thank you, father, that there was bloodshed at the cross, from the garden to the cross. I thank you, father, that there is life in the blood, according to Genesis. There is life, there is power in the blood. So, father, I thank you that you went to the cross, lord, that you gave your life, and we're sinners saved by grace, it's not by works.

Speaker 2:

It doesn't matter how many times I hoover the church. It doesn't matter how many times I hoover the church, it doesn't matter how many podcasts, how many sermons I preach, it doesn't matter how many times I come to church. It's irrelevant. God loves you. You're saved. Your name is in the Lamb's book of life because he put it there. God put your name in the book. So, father, I thank you for this cup. Cover me from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet, lord, in Jesus' name, amen. You know there is power in that name and as we come to a close, you know we're going to click out in a minute. We'll just stay in the house for a few moments longer.

Speaker 2:

But Psalm 91 is so powerful, powerful, he's so large. The whole word is is beyond human understanding. That's why we need revelational knowledge. It needs to be revealed. So, however, you are in your body. Your body, our bodies are irrelevant. It doesn't matter about the aches, the pains, how we come in, what in what we look. Like this that it is irrelevant.

Speaker 2:

The psalmist says God created you. He says I knitted you together in your mother's womb. So however we come out, that's God's doing. However we are on this earth, that's God With every ailment. You know we all have issues in our bodies. It doesn't matter what's going on in our. You know we all have issues in our bodies, it doesn't matter what's going on in our. And you know we all have physical defects, from your teeth to your eyes, from everything. We all got defects. As soon as you are popped out of the canal bang, our bodies are starting to prepare to die. So the physical realm is irrelevant. But we put so much emphasis on healing, prosperity, gospel, when the most important thing is you must be born again. Let's pray, father, in the name of jesus, we thank you for the power of prayer and wherever we are now, lord father, bless us from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet, in Jesus' name.

Speaker 1:
