Prayer for Anxiety and Fear | Philippians 4:6 – @81 Daily Christian Prayer Podcast

Scripture: Philippians 4:6–7 (NIV) – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Welcome to the Daily Christian Prayer Podcast with Reverend Ben Cooper, streaming from London, England, and reaching believers across the nations. Today’s five-minute devotional focuses on a theme that touches millions of lives: prayer for peace in anxious times. Anxiety is often described as the epidemic of our age. It steals our rest, clouds our minds, and leaves us overwhelmed. Yet God’s Word offers us a powerful promise—peace that passes understanding.

Many listeners come searching for daily Christian prayers for anxiety and stress, Christian devotionals for peace of mind, or prayers to calm racing thoughts at night. Philippians 4:6–7 gives us a divine remedy: surrender every anxious thought in prayer, and allow God’s peace to guard our hearts. In today’s prayer, Reverend Ben leads us to lay down fear, doubt, and worry before the Lord, trusting Him to bring clarity, calm, and strength.

This Christian devotional podcast London UK is designed for those struggling with uncertainty, fear of the future, sleeplessness, or heavy emotional burdens. Whether you are facing financial pressure, health concerns, broken relationships, or simply the constant noise of the modern world, this daily prayer invites you into God’s presence, where peace becomes more than theory—it becomes reality.

I don't know how you feel today, but I really feel in my spirit that there is a very anxious presence across the world and we are looking for peace. I want to come back to the book of philippians, chapter 4, verses 6 through to 7. Yes, we've covered this, but I think that we need to get back into this prayer. Father, in the name of jesus, we thank you for philippians 4, verses 6 through 7. You tell us not to be anxious about anything. So today, lord, we are not going to be anxious about anything. Lord, we're going to try and we're going to lean into God. Today, we're going to lean into your word, we're going to lean into your presence, we're going to lean into the scripture because, lord, today, help my thoughts to be calm. Help me, lord, not to over-engineer my thinking. Help me today to be steadfast. Help me, lord, to rest in the middle of the valley of the shadow of death. Spirit of the living god, we believe in miracles and you are a miracle working god, and we need peace amongst trouble today. So, lord, as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we shall fear no evil, for you are with us, your rod and thy staff. It comforts us. So today, lord, right in the middle of life, right as we wake up this morning, as fear tries to overtake our faith, we will not allow the fear to overtake our faith. We will rise in faith today. We will rise in faith today. We will trust in you today. But, lord, will you help us, lord, to be more steadfast in the scripture.

Lord, as we pray, lord, through these five minute devotional time together across the globe, lord, each and every one of us has many trials in our lives. And as we look at life and father, as we look with eyes of the world and yes, lord, I'm sorry that I said eyes of the world because, lord, it is so difficult sometimes, jesus, to look with eyes of faith. So today, lord, will you increase my faith? Will you help me not to just look at the world and to accept that that is what it is. So help me to see beyond. Help me to see beyond in the name of jesus. Help me to look above and beyond. You tell us, through the word of god, to look up to the hills. Where does my help come from? Father, in the name of jesus, my help comes from the father, the son, the holy spirit, lord.

We thank you, lord, that there is peace in our lives today. And, lord, we thank you for the book of Philippians, chapter four, verses six through to seven, that we're not going to be anxious about anything, and the peace of God. Lord, I'm hungry for that peace today. I'm hungry for the peace of God. I'm hungry for restoration. I'm hungry for your word. I'm hungry to stand strong. I'm hungry for that scripture to fill my life.

Today, lord, I want to feel the fire of God burning, lord. Lord, I thank you that fear has been replaced with peace. And all those that are living in anxiety today, remove the anxiety in the name of Jesus. Remove the anxiousness, remove the doubt, remove the fear, remove all that stuff. In the name of jesus. Bring your word, bring your glory, bring your presence, lord, in the mighty name of jesus christ, as we stand on the word of hope, on the gospel of jesus christ, lord, let your glory come, let your power move over us today.

Speaker 0:

Lord, we thank you for the glory of god. We thank you for Lord. We thank you for the glory of God. We thank you for your presence. We thank you, lord, that you are the God of yes and amen. You are the father of fathers, you are the great. I am. But peace.

Speaker 0:

Today we pray for peace. Let your peace abound, lord. Let your peace run through our body today. Let your peace, lord, just stretch down over our lives. Come, god, restore us, rebuild us, heal us, guide us, lead us in paths of righteousness. Come, father, in your mercy, your saving grace. Lord, we need you and, lord, I need peace and my brothers and sisters need peace today. So, lord, we pray.

Spirit of the living, god, we thank you that we can find rest when we're overwhelmed. We can find rest in you. So, father, come and restore health today. Lord, restore the mind today, but lord above everything else that is going on around the world.
