The Word Made Flesh (#1105 Elim)
Who Is Jesus Christ? – Unshakeable: A Daily Christian Devotional Podcast
Who is Jesus Christ? This question lies at the very heart of Christianity, and yet many believers today find themselves challenged by competing religious claims that attempt to diminish His divine nature. In this powerful episode from London, England, Reverend Ben Cooper takes us deep into Scripture to uncover the biblical truth of Jesus as Creator, Saviour, and living God.
Drawing from key passages in Hebrews, Colossians, and the Gospel of John, we see that Jesus is not a created being, but the Creator Himself—present at the beginning of time and instrumental in forming the universe. As John 1:3 declares, “Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” This unshakable truth sets Christianity apart from every other faith.
Unlike the founders of other religions who remain in their tombs, Christ’s grave stands empty. The historical reality of the resurrection validates Jesus’ divine identity and authority in a way no other figure in history can claim. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals Him as “the image of the invisible God,” the eternal Word made flesh, and the One who reigns forever.
This devotional is not about winning arguments—it’s about knowing Christ personally. When we open God’s Word and discover who Jesus truly is, we are moved to worship, not just debate. The Bible illuminates Christ, and Christ illuminates the path we are called to walk.
Wherever you are in your faith journey, this episode will strengthen your understanding of Christ’s divine nature and inspire you to seek Him more deeply through Scripture. Subscribe now and join us as we encounter the living Word of God together.
Biblical Foundation:
- Hebrews 1:1–3 – Christ as the radiance of God’s glory and sustainer of all things
- Colossians 1:15–17 – Jesus as the image of the invisible God, Creator of all things
- John 1:1–3 – The Word who was with God and is God
Episode Highlights:
- Why Jesus is not a created being but the eternal Creator
- The resurrection as ultimate validation of Christ’s divine identity
- How the entire Bible reveals Jesus from Genesis to Revelation
- The call to worship Christ personally through Scripture, not argument
Life Application:
Instead of focusing on debates with skeptics, let your faith grow deeper by knowing Jesus through the Word of God. Read Hebrews, Colossians, and John this week, asking the Spirit to reveal Christ’s glory. The more you know Him, the stronger your worship, faith, and witness will become.

Speaker 3:Good evening. Thank you for everyone that tuned in across the globe. Thank you for everyone tuned in every single place, every single day, every single minute, every single second. Today we're going to literally it's all prayer for today, because God's word is alive. It's like our path speaks into our heart today Just as clearly as when it's first written. As we listen, may we remember the Bible is more than words on the page. It's God's voice guiding us, correcting us and drawing us closer to him.
Speaker 3:In Psalm 119, verse 105, it says the word the world is a lamp of to my feet and the light to my path. And he view 4, verse 12, remind us, for the word of god is alive and active, sharper than a double-edged sword. I don't want to be, I don't want to be dagged, I just want to be sealed because I want to be healed. Let us, let us pray. Father, we thank you for the gifts of your words. As we read today speaks into the place of our hearts that needs healing direction. Let your spirit make these words come alive and may we walk into your gods. Please help us. And all this makes this week be the good week to end of the august and, let's hope, next month and all the rest of the months will be good for us in jesus name, amen amen, amen.
Speaker 1:Thank you, alex. Wherever you are across the world, may God bless every one of you in the most beautiful name of Jesus. Alex has referenced a couple of scriptures there, and that beautiful one you know. He referenced Psalms 119,. You know, your word is a lamp unto my feet, a light for my path. You know the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, god, is with you wherever you are, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we just want to encourage you right now, for those that are on radio, for those that are on camera at this moment, for those that are listening through the world of podcasts. May God bless you and strengthen you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank you for the terrific amount of downloads that we're getting on the podcast at the moment, and we're seeing an increase there. But we just want to tell you tonight that the word of God is sharper than a double-edged sword, as Alex has already said. He's quoted that from the scripture there, from the book of Hebrews. So we're going to go straight into the word of God. We're going to break bread together, so we've got to encourage one another. We've got to encourage one another that there is power. In the name of Jesus Christ. So, wherever you are right now, you know now is a time not to worry about getting into church, but not even to worry about getting into church, but not even to worry about getting in the word, but just to get in the scripture. You know, god is calling each and every one of us to get into the word of god, to get right into the scripture. So, wherever you are, without further ado, let's get straight into the book of hebrews. Let's go straight to the book of hebrews.
Speaker 1:You know, we seem to be challenged in the days in which we live, uh, very interestingly at the moment, about who Jesus Christ is, through certain faiths. You know certain demographics that are out there. I have to be very, very careful and I'm trying to be very, very mindful. You know, we get challenged. Who is Jesus? Did God make him? Who is he? You know we get all that sort of stuff and, especially on a lot of the platforms, we see this that you got certain demographic of certain gentlemen with beards, with certain ways that they look. You know, I've got to be extremely careful because we're skating on thin ice at this moment here. You know, I've got to be really careful, but you know what I'm saying and they're trying to tell us that Jesus isn't who the Bible says. Well, let me just take us to a few scriptures tonight. I want to take us to a few scriptures and I just want to take our time tonight. So be very, very careful.
Speaker 1:You know what you see on social media, what certain gentlemen are saying from a certain faith about Jesus Christ. They're trying to push Jesus down and make their profit or whatever. However you want to label it. I'm not going to go into that. You know they're trying to make him higher than who Jesus is and they're trying to ridicule and trying to say Jesus isn than who Jesus is and he's trying. They're trying to ridicule and trying to say Jesus isn't who Jesus is. But actually, when you look at the scripture, you know it clearly tells you what it is. So, wherever you are across the world, I just want to just bring a couple of scriptures tonight for the power of the Holy Spirit, and I really believe God is calling you. God is calling you wherever you are at this moment. God is calling you to follow him like never before. You know, and what I'm referring to is about being in the word, being in the Bible. It's about getting in the word of God. But we've got to be extremely careful now. We've got to be careful of social media. We're watching things across this nation. Certain flags are being raised. We are watching flags being raised. We're watching certain demographics, certain areas of life trying to rise up and trying to tell us that Jesus is not who Jesus is. But we got to make sure that we have biblical foundation so we know who the Redeemer is and who Christ is.
Speaker 1:So I just want to go to the book of Hebrews. We're going to go to Hebrews 1. It's a very simple text tonight. It's a very, very simple text and we welcome those on radio at this moment, we welcome those on social media and we welcome everybody in the world of podcast. And I just want to bring this to the table.
Speaker 1:And we're in hebrews, chapter 1, verse 1, and it says in the past, god spoke to us through the forefathers, the prophets, and many times and in various ways, but in these last days. So right, verse 2 in the last days. You know we are at the last days. The last days have been here since the cross of calvary. This is nothing new. Right, here we go, but at the last days, the last days have been here since the cross of Calvary. This is nothing new. Right, here we go, but in the last days he spoke to us by his son, whom he appointed over all things and through whom he made the universe. That's really important, and through whom he made the universe. The son is the radiance of god's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.
Speaker 1:So when you look at those scriptures, it clearly tells us that jesus christ was at the very beginning of time. God did not create Jesus, jesus did not create God. They have always been, and it's no good trying to work out how long they've been here for. But what's really, really important to understand is that when you look at the Scripture, when you've got certain demographics of certain people across certain areas and certain religions trying to push Jesus down and say that Jesus isn't who the Bible says he is, well, christ is who he says he is. God says who he is. The Holy Spirit says who the Holy Spirit is. So what we need to do is just to come to basic, fundamental truths and actually realize who Jesus Christ is. Jesus Christ was at the very beginning of time. Jesus Christ is time. Jesus Christ is God, god is Christ. You can't get away from the scriptures. So when you're on social media and you're scrolling through and you see these certain gentlemen with certain beards and a certain way they look, picking on certain people out of crowds and making a ridicule of Christianity, don't get yourself tangled in that sort of stuff, because they don't actually know who Jesus Christ is, they don't know who the father is, they don't know who the son is, they don't realize the power of the authority.
Speaker 1:Alex read out from Psalm 119, 105, I believe, and it said there your word is a lamp unto my feet, a light for my path. See, when you look at that scripture there nestled in the beautiful book of Psalms, your word is a lamp. Now, when you take these words, you just sit in these words, you just take a moment at this particular point. And when you look at them scriptures, your word is a lamp unto my feet. God's word is a lamp unto our feet. That's obvious. But when you look at that, it's also talking about Christ being the light. The word of God is a lamp unto my feet, a light for my path. Jesus says I am the light of the world. So when you take Psalm 119 and you take these scriptures that we got here, it clearly tells us that Jesus Christ is from Genesis to Revelation.
Speaker 1:When you look at Christ, he's in the Old Testament. He's in the middle of the scriptures, he's in the forefront of everything. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, the life. Jesus Christ is the living God. He is the great I am. So when you look on the socials and you hear all these crazy stuff that's going on, when people are trying to tell us that God created Jesus and Jesus is only a messenger and he's not who the Bible says, don't listen to those gentlemen of that particular way that they walk. Brother and sister. We've got to know who Jesus Christ is. Jesus Christ is the creator of heaven and earth. He is the great I am. He is the beginning, he is the end. He is the great I am. He is the beginning, he is the end. He is El Shaddai, he is Jehovah Jireh, jehovah Nissi, jehovah Shalom.
Speaker 1:So when you're on the social media and you're looking at these certain gentlemen talking in a certain way, trying to tell us, christians, who Jesus is, why are we listening to this second-hand, third, fourth, fifth-hand knowledge? They don't know Jesus. So this is where we need to get steadfast in the Scripture. We've got to be right in the Word of God and we've got to know who Jesus is. Let's find out who Jesus is. So let's get straight into the Scripture again.
Speaker 1:Let's go back a moment. We're going to go back to Hebrews 1. In the past of God. So let's just remember. We know that, we know that Right, okay, he's the Son of God, whom he appointed heir over all things. So God gave Christ the authority over all things. Very, very interesting there. And it says there, and as you go a little bit further, and through whom he made the universe. So who made the universe? What do you get from that text? We know what the scripture says and we'll pull some more in a moment. It says that through him the universe was made, through christ. It is christ that was at the very beginning of time. And the bible says in many, many ways we'll have to turn to the book of colossians, if I can turn to the book of colossians in just a few moments. Colossians, and we'll have a quick look. We'll turn there, if I can flick the page in just a few moments. But the bible, bible is extremely clear who Jesus Christ is. So what I've got to do is I've got to study this Jesus, because we are living in very powerful and very rich spiritual days. So I've got to know who Jesus is.
Speaker 1:I would advise you don't worry about going to church, because there's many churches that are not telling us who Jesus is. There are many leaders that don't even know who Jesus is. There are many leaders that don't even know who Jesus is. There are many preachers preaching a different Jesus. There are many preachers and teachers and evangelists and bishops that are giving us a different Jesus. The Bible says very, very clear. Jesus says watch out, there will be many that come in my name the false prophets, the false preachers. Be very careful of the false prophets and the false preachers that are out there that are alive and well, the forerunners of Satan. There are many preachers in pulpits at this very moment in time across this globe that should not even be in the pulpits. They are leading people astray. They are false prophets.
Speaker 1:But when you look at this scripture here, you know you've got to look at this scripture. You've got to say God, you've got to open this word up to me tonight in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, because we need to know who Jesus is. Do we know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior? Do we realize that Christ is the creator of heaven and earth? I'm going to read that again and it says but in the last days he spoke to us by his son, whom he appointed air over all things and through whom he made the universe. The son is the radiance of god's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. So when you look at the scripture, it is very clear that God and Christ are joined together. You cannot separate them the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. You might find an area of scripture where there's a few things where it clearly says that God didn't look at Christ on the cross of Calvary. But that is a different understanding altogether.
Speaker 1:Look, let's turn to the Gospel of John. If you've got a Bible, turn to the Gospel of John. If you've got a Bible, turn to the Gospel of John. At this moment in time, let's throw open up the Gospel of John and let's just see what John says. We're going to John, chapter 1. I really believe God is bringing me back to basic, fundamental understanding of Christianity. I really, really believe that as we turn to the Gospel of John, john, chapter 1, and then, as you look at John chapter 1, the Gospel of John, john, chapter 1. And then, as you look at John chapter 1, someone has stolen John out of my Bible. I think he's gone down the kebab shop. Here is John, here's John, john, chapter 1. John, chapter 1. And it says John, chapter 1 in verse 1.
Speaker 1:In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God. So that clearly tells us something very profound and it doesn't take much for me to understand what that scripture says. Let me just read that again. In the beginning was the word. So we get that In the beginning. In the beginning of what? In the beginning of time? What is time? We don't understand what time is without time itself, if I can use that analogy, in the beginning was the word In the beginning it is speaking. That analogy In the beginning was the word In the beginning.
Speaker 1:It is speaking about, obviously, the beginning, the beginning of what, the beginning of time, the beginning of life, the beginning of understanding. In the beginning, what we understand and what we've got to remind ourselves was there was time in this place that we live, called Earth and called the universe, that time did not have any existence whatsoever. You know, god was with christ, christ was with the holy spirit, the holy spirit was with christ, christ was with god, that the triune godhead that we serve have been woven in together and you cannot separate. Because this scripture is clearly tells us it's talking about creation In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God. So the Word was with God. So to be with, there has to be a separation, but not separation as we understand separation. What we are talking about in the distinct act of who Jesus is and who is God and who the Holy Spirit is. Now let's just take a moment In the beginning was the Word and the word was with God. So there, straight away, we got to and it says and the word was God, he was with God in the beginning, all things. And then it says through him, all things were made. Without him, nothing that has been made in him was life and the life and the light of all men. The light shines in the darkness, but the life and the light of all men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it so straight away.
Speaker 1:In the first, first, sorry first five verses of john chapter one, we have creation, we have salvation, we have god and we have christ. And it says in the beginning was the word and and the word was with God. You know, I've mentioned this more times than I can count. I've mentioned this more times than I can actually count and I mean that. You know I'm always talking about this verse. But because it is such a fundamental, christian, strong, doctoring verse, it is so needed. You know, when I get this scripture, you know, if I was just to study John, chapter 1, just down to verse 5 for an instant, and spent about a year in that, suddenly I could spend a year in that.
Speaker 1:Believe it or believe it not, we really could, because what it does? It opens up everything. It's like the Gospel of John in John 3.3. You must be born again. It's very, very clear In John 3.3,. If you flick over the page John 3.3, and it says and Jesus replied, I tell you the truth. No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. So if you stayed in John 3.3, you could get everything. John 3.3 is a landing point, is a place, a diving board, a springboard, a place where we can take off from and come back to. You know, there are certain scriptures that you could stay in all the time and they would bring you back to fundamental truths through the word of God.
Speaker 1:So Alex brought a scripture tonight and it was very, very interesting scripture that he brought. He says your word is a lamp unto my feet, a light for my path. So it is depicting something very, very powerful. It is telling us that light is the way. The Bible talks about light. The Bible clearly tells us about light. The Bible says in Genesis, chapter 1, verse 3, and God said let there be light. So the first area of creation. We understand that God created light. He created light. And then, when you look at these scriptures that we're in tonight, let's just take our time. You, you know time is on our side.
Speaker 1:At the minute I'm going to read from john, chapter 1, verse 1. I know I'm going backwards and forwards, but it's critical. The reason it is critical because, as we are living in the last days and we've got certain areas of life that are on social media trying to put jesus down and trying to tell us that God created Jesus and trying to disprove who Jesus is through the word of God. And we know who they are. They've got beards and they look a certain way and they walk a certain way, and you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1:Please, brother and sister, do not get entangled in that type of skirmish. Do not get into apologetics. We do not need to get into apologetics. We do not need to apologize. We do not need to tell them. All we need to do is to understand it for ourself. We do not need to jump in the arena. We do not need to prove who God is. If anything, they need to tell us who he isn't. But they can't, because the Bible is fact. The Bible is beyond human understanding and the scriptures that I've read. Within minutes, within four to five minutes, we find that Jesus Christ is the creator of heaven and earth and he is the exact representation of God's glory. He is the King of Kings, he is the Lord of Lords. So don't listen to them, gentlemen, that have got beards, that walk a certain way, that are trying to tell us in this Christian nation. This nation is a biblical nation. You can believe what you want, you can listen to what you want, but I believe in my heart that this nation, england, belongs to God. It doesn't matter what they say, it doesn't matter what is going on.
Speaker 1:Let me bring you a couple of more facts that we had the other day, and you're probably gathering and you know what I'm going to say. How many books in the world has this Bible sold? This Bible has sold over 8 billion books. It has given away 3 billion books. We understand that the Quran has sold just over 800 million. It doesn't come nowhere near the word of God.
Speaker 1:So we need to clue ourselves up. We need to make sure that we're rich in the scripture, that we are not being hoodwinked by certain people on certain networks, on certain channels and certain social media accounts trying to tell us who Jesus isn't. What we need to do is just not engage in that and just say I'll pray for you in the name of Jesus, because I haven't got time and I don't need to prove who Jesus is. You know, I don't need to prove who God is. I just need to know who he is for myself, because the Bible is extremely clear God is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. I just see a comment go up.
Speaker 1:You want me to talk about Harry Potter, come on, then I'll have to bring that in. Let me start again. So the Bible has sold over 8 billion. It has given away over 3 billion. The Quran has sold just over 800 million. Pushing a little bit further, our good friend, harry Potter, that is on the end of the table over there and I'll say, good friend, you know, come on, send the emails, knock me about, come on. You know what it's like, harry Potter. You know that series has sold 600 million, so there's only a few hundred million. You know Harry Potter is chasing the Quran on his broomstick.
Speaker 1:You know, when you look at that very clearly, nothing can get near the word of God, because God is God and there is no other God and there is no other king. He is the king of kings and he is the Lord of Lords. So I need to know as an individual. I'm not talking about going out and preaching and shouting and trying to apologize in the world of apologetics. I don't need to jump into the arena anymore. I don't need to do anything like that, because all I need to do is know who Jesus is. So when I hear the devil coming my way, I clearly understand who Jesus Christ is. Who Jesus Christ is.
Speaker 1:It says in John, chapter 1, verse 1,. We are going over simple, basic theological understandings of who God is and who Christ is. And it says there in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God. He was with God in the very beginning of time. He was with God at the beginning. Let's just take a moment In the beginning was the Word. So we understand, you know, the beginning of time, the beginning of what, the beginning of creation, the beginning of everything, in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Speaker 1:Now we come back and we're just having another cross-reference to what we've been in in Hebrews, the scripture that I just read out a moment ago, hebrews that I read out, that I'll go back into a moment, verse 3 of John, chapter 1. Through him, all things were made. Without him, nothing was made. That has been made. So that clearly tells me that without him, who is the him? The him is Jesus.
Speaker 1:Right, jesus is the living word. How do you know Jesus is the living word? Just throw your holy eyes down to verse 14 of John, chapter 1. The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory. Now it says his Jesus is a man. Believe it or believe it not, jesus actually is a man. The Bible says the man, christ Jesusesus, he is fully god, fully man, fully king, fully savior, fully holy spirit. You know, you cannot separate, you cannot dissect the triune godhead. The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory. So the the word his tells us that he is a mal. Sin is glory, the glory of the one and only who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Speaker 1:So much biblical text, you know, that we're bringing tonight is steeped in creation. You know you've got creation all the way from Genesis, all the way through to Revelation. I want to go back to Hebrews 1 a minute and I just want to read this out Hebrews, chapter 1, verse 1. Want to go back to Hebrews 1 a minute and I just want to read this out Hebrews chapter 1, verse 1.
Speaker 1:In the past God spoke to the forefathers through the prophets and many times and in various ways. But in the last days he spoke to us by his son, who he appointed heir over all things and through whom made the universe. What does it say? There again, it is telling us that jesus was at the beginning of time. Jesus spoke the world into begin, into the beginning of time itself, and through whom he made the universe. The sun is the radiance of god's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by the power of his word.
Speaker 1:Let's go to genesis. Let's turn to genesis, chapter one. Let's get into genesis, chapter one. We're keeping it easy tonight. We're taking it easy and we just got to remind ourselves. I know we've been over it a thousand times, but I really really feel it's really really important that we understand, uh, what we are, what we are getting into, you know. And then we talk about light. You know light. Light is critical. John chapter one says Jesus says I am the light of the world. It talks about light.
Speaker 1:Now when Genesis, chapter one I'm just going to read from verse one in the beginning. So we got a, we got a tie up, we got a correlation, we got a, we got a running together, we got a thread from Genesis, chapter one and then, going right up to the gospel of John, we have a thread, we have a connector, we have an anchor point. We have an anchor point. In the beginning, god created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was over the surface of the deep and the spirit of God Straight away straight away. We got the spirit, we got the Holy Ghost at the very beginning of time. And darkness was over the surface of the deep and the spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters and God said you know, to be able to say something, you've got to have a voice box. You know, you've got to be able to speak, you've got to be. So. This is where we get. And Christ is the image of the invisible God. So there we have the book of Colossians We'll turn to the book of Colossians in just a few moments and it says uh, the surface of God, uh, sorry, the spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters and God said so.
Speaker 1:Verse verse three, we pick up in Genesis. We find that suddenly we, we start to hear about this, this voice, this, this God that we serve, you know. And it says and God said let there be light. And there was, like God saw. So suddenly God's got eyes, god's got eyes. So if you've got eyes, you've got to be a degree of an interpretation of a human being. And what does the Bible says? And the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. What does the scripture say Still in Genesis, you know, telling us very clearly God walked in the call of the garden. You know, to walk, you've got to have a pair of legs. You know, if we understand that that god is spirit, because the bible says very clearly god is spirit. No one can see god and live. He sits in unapproachable light. No one can see him and live. So we understand the spirit, the holy spirit, god. So when you look at all this stuff, it can be a bit mind-blowing and it can rock our eyeballs out of our sockets some days. But it's really, really important and we need to understand right now what we are looking at that jesus christ is the savior of the world. He is the great I am. He is the king of kings and the lord of lords. It's really important that I know who this god is, the god of israel, the father of isaac, jacob and abraham. And god said let there be light. And there was light. God saw that the light was good and he separated that light from darkness. God called the light day and the darkness he called night and there was evening and there was morning.
Speaker 1:And then we think about the book of Colossians. See, the book of Colossians is a really interesting part of the New Testament because it talks straight away about creation. It really clears a few things up in the, the book of. I've been talking all day. I've been talking all day. My lips are absolutely cream-crackered, my tongue is just worn out. So let's go to the book of Colossians. We're in the book of Colossians, the book of Colossians, chapter 1, verse 15. Now this is another text that you could spend forever and a day in. You could spend forever and a day in colossians, chapter 1, verse 15. As it goes down, first the, I'd say five, five verses to to verse 20, and it says the uh, he is the image. So there we go, we got straight away.
Speaker 1:We got a kick point to who jesus is. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, for by him all things were created, things in heaven and things on earth, visible, invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities. All things were created by him and for him. Suddenly, what does he mean? And what does him mean. We understand biologically what it means. We get it. So if means we get it. So if he is a he and if he is a him, he has to be of a mal, it can't be anything else. Even we get that in the passover god says make sure that you take a mal, a young lamb. It has to be a mal. And what? What is jesus depicted as? What is jesus, uh, told what? What do we hear? That John the Baptizer tells us who Jesus is. Look, the Lamb of God, a male. Jesus Christ is a male. There's no in-between bits and ifs and buts.
Speaker 1:You know, it's really, really important that I understand who Jesus is. It might sound really strange. What do you mean? Finding out who Jesus is? You know, when you look at the preachers that we got in pulpits today, are they preaching Jesus or are they preaching self? Are they speaking about Christ or are they talking about self? Are they speaking about the King of Kings or are they speaking about themselves? You know, prayer is absolutely comforting and prayer is absolutely needed. You know there is power in the word of God and we want to encourage you tonight to find out who Jesus is. And if I was you, I would literally not worry yourself about church, but get yourself a Bible and get in the word of God.
Speaker 1:So we are in Colossians, chapter 1, verse 15, and it says he is the image of the invisible God. So there we have something very powerful within itself. He is, he is simple, he is the image of the invisible god, the firstborn over all creation, for by him all things were created. What does the hebrew writer write? The hebrew writer? Let me quickly run us back to hebrews, chapter one. And it says the Son is the radiance of God's glory, the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by the power of his word. And it says there, verse 2, but in these last days he spoke to us by his Son, who he appointed heir over all things, and through him all the universe was made, and through him all the universe was made.
Speaker 1:So you can't get away from the fact that jesus christ, the savior of the world, was right at the point of creation. He was instrumental in creation, he is creation, he is the son of god, he is god. He is the word that our brother Alex mentioned in Psalm 119. You know, and it tells us, the word is a lamp unto our feet, a light for our path. So there again, we have a depiction, we have a clear understanding about light. You know, light is critical. So, from Genesis to Psalm, from Psalm to John, from John to Revelation, from Revelation to, from revelation to colossian, from colossian back to genesis, from genesis, again, you can get a cross tie over, arching over the top, right away back to revelation.
Speaker 1:You know, you can't get away from the fact that jesus christ is the bible. He is the word, he is the first and he is the last. Christ is the creator of heaven and earth. Christ created all things, all things held together because of him. So as you go further in the book of colossians, let's just go a little bit further. We're coming to the table in just a few moments. Time is absolutely evaporating. He is the image of the invisible god, the firstborn over all creation, for by him all things were created, things in heaven and things on earth, visible, visible, invisible, whether thrones or powers, rulers or authorities. All things were created by him and for him. Verse 17 of Colossians, chapter 1. He is before all things, he again, he is before all things and in him all things hold together. And he is the what, the head of the body, the church, the church. It is jesus, he is the head of the church. It is not the pope, it is not elim, it is not catholicism, it is not the church of england, you know. It is not any denomination. It is jesus, j Jesus is the head of the church. He is the son of God, he is God. He is El Shaddai, he is Jehovah Jireh, he is Jehovah Nissi, he is Jehovah Shalom. He is the great I am. He is the good shepherd, he is the first and the last. He was dead, but now I am alive. Jesus Christ is alive.
Speaker 1:When you look at all these foreign gods that these people talk about with beards and hats and all that razzmatazz, where is their God? If their God was so great, where is he? He's dead. Let me tell you that now the God that they talk about is dead and buried. The God that I serve is alive and well. Every God that they talk about is dead and there is a marker to where they are when you think about that. Every other God that they speak about is either in a tomb, either got mummified, or either been, whatever you want to put over it. Every God that has said that their God. There is a marker to say their God is dead. That is absolutely fundamental. True, there is no God that they say that there is their God that is alive, because their gods are false gods and their gods were men and their gods were human beings.
Speaker 1:The god that I serve is the king of kings and the lord of lords. Yes, he is christ. Yes, he is the savior of the world. Yes, he is, and he has been raised from the dead. I bet you, when they realized that jesus was dead, I bet they couldn't believe. They put him in a category with all the others.
Speaker 1:But suddenly, on the third day, tell the other gods, tell the other faiths. Show me where your God is, where is your God? I tell you where your God is. I can track him. I can go back to the Valley of the Kings. I'll go to Egypt and I'll see all the dead pharaohs and all that. I'll see the dead prophets. I'll see this and I'll tell you where they are.
Speaker 1:But let me tell you about my God. My God is omnipresent, he's in all, he's about all, he's the creator of heaven and earth and he is the savior of the world. You cannot find a marker or a gravestone to where he is, because Jesus Christ is alive. He is alive. The grave could not hold him, sickness could not hold him, death could not hold him. God is in charge of death. God is and he controls life, every breath, every inhale, every exhale. He is the savior of the world and you cannot find Jesus Christ dead. He is not dead, he is alive. He is seated at the right hand of the father and, as I said yesterday in church, jesus has hit all the markers that he set through the prophets and Jesus Christ is coming back. He is the coming king. There is no other God that is coming back. There is no other God higher than the God of Israel. There are lesser gods and the lesser gods are where. The lesser gods are under your feet, because all the lesser gods are of Lucifer, they are of Baal, they are devils. When you look at all the other gods, they are not the God of Israel, they are not Jesus Christ, they are not the Holy Spirit. Let me tell you who you serve. You serve the God of Israel, you serve the father of Isaac, jacob and Abraham.
Speaker 1:We're coming to the table in just a few moments and I just got to quickly read this. I've got to quickly read this again. I must read Colossians, chapter one, 15 to 20, in its complete entirety of the scripture itself. He is the image of the firstborn. You know, he is the image, sorry, of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, for by him all things were created, things in heaven and things on earth, visible, invisible, whether thrones or powers, rulers or authorities. All things were created by him and for him. He is above all things and all things he holds together. He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning of the firstborn among all the dead, so that in everything he might have supremacy.
Speaker 1:Verse 19,. For God was pleased to have the fullness, his fullness dwell in him and through him, to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by marking peace through his blood shed on the cross. What does it tell you there? That God came down the staircase and God went to the cross in the image of Christ Jesus. What does the Bible say? When they named Jesus Christ, they called him Emmanuel, god with us. What does the bible say? When they named jesus christ? They called him emmanuel, god with us. What does the bible say? Christ is the image of the invisible god.
Speaker 1:So, not only so we don't have the time to go into a theological stretch on this, but when you look at the scripture and and it's really critical for those that are on social media and are starting to worry and starting to get tuned into what these certain men are saying with certain beards and a certain way that they walk Don't engage in what they are saying. You don't need to react to what they are saying or what they are doing. You know the Bible tells us who Jesus is. Jesus is God. God is Jesus the Spirit of God. It tells us everything about who Jesus is God. God is Jesus the Spirit of God. It tells us everything about who Jesus is.
Speaker 1:We do not need to jump into the arena of apologetics. We do not need to do none of that. We do not need to justify to any devil who God is. We don't need to justify who Jesus is. All we got to do is worship the King. All we got to do is follow the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Speaker 1:Let's not waste our time trying to prove who Jesus is, because Jesus proved who he is and Jesus created them. Let Jesus deal with the devils. We ain't got to worry about the devils that are bringing false information across the social networks. What we got to do is say God, I'm going to follow you in the name of Jesus. God, I'm going to trust your word. In the name of Jesus, god, I'm going to believe and stand on the scripture. Today, lord, I'm just going to laugh at the social media feeds and I'll pray for him in the name of Jesus. But I know who my God is, I know who my God is, and he is the creator of heaven and earth. And Jesus Christ is the image of God. He is the image of the invisible God, he is the King of Kings and he is the Lord of Lords. Without further ado, we've got to come to the table. The clock is ticking. We're going to run out of that 50p in a minute and we're going to have to chuck a wire over to the fence of the house and nick a little bit of electric out of there. Come on, it's getting to nine o'clock, it's getting a little bit late.
Speaker 1:Wherever you across the world, you know, may god bless you and cover you in the blood of jesus. The fire of god is over you and god is with you. Please, brother and sister, remember what I always say just follow jesus, don't follow a denomination. Don't follow me. You know, don't follow me. Follow jesus, don't follow reeling. Follow jesus, don't follow catholicism. Don't follow church of england. Don't follow allim. Follow Jesus, don't follow Catholicism. Don't follow Church of England. Don't follow all the mainstream stuff that's going on.
Speaker 1:Follow Jesus, study who Jesus is, find out, do a study and find out who Jesus is. Spend your life studying Jesus, because when you study Jesus, suddenly the Word becomes alive. Suddenly the word erupts in many areas, it starts to explode and it takes us all over through the word of God. You know the fundamental text. There is a fundamental text and that basically is John 3, 3, you must be born again. Everything is the pivotal point from that. Because when you talk about being born again, suddenly salvation.
Speaker 1:What is salvation? Salvation is revelation. What is revelation? Revelation is sanctification. What is sanctification? Justification, and it goes on and it just opens up an array of scripture. You know God is with you. We know who our God is. I ain't got to prove him to no one. I haven't got to wrestle with you and tell you who God is. I haven't got to prove him to no one. I haven't got to wrestle with you and tell you who God is. I haven't got to prove who he is. Look at the tree. That's what my God created. Where is your God? Your God is dead. Your God is dead. My God is alive.
Speaker 1:Let's break bread in the name of Jesus. Father, I thank you for the power of the word and let's remind ourselves there's only one way to the God of Israel. There is only one way, and his name is Jesus. There's access to the God of Israel through Christ. Father, as we come to the table tonight, lord, will you bless this bread that is symbolic to the body of Christ? And Father, we thank you that your body was broken in the name of Jesus. And Lord, we thank you that your body was broken in the name of Jesus. And Lord, we pray tonight for the fire of God to rest on our spirit. But right now, lord, we recognize that this is bread and it symbolizes the body of Christ. And tonight, lord, wherever we are scattered across the world, we thank you that Jesus is alive.
Speaker 1:We serve a risen Saviorour, the king above all kings. The only king that can walk out of a graveyard is Jesus, the only king that can get the stone to roll away, the only king that comes back from the dead. No king, no one has come back from the dead except the king of kings and the lord of lords. And whoever has come back can only be written in the word and through the power of the word of god, because god is in charge of death and life and that king that you serve. The stone was rolled back. The angels sat on there and they smiled and they said why are you looking for the living among the dead? See, every other god is dead. Every other god you can pinpoint and you can go and lay roses, but my god is alive. My god is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Our God is the living word. Our God is in every fabric of every air, in the air that you breathe. God is there because he's the creator of the air that we breathe. He is the King.
Speaker 1:Let's break bread, father. Bless this bread in Jesus' name. Amen. Hallelujah, listen to this in the background. Hallelujah, jesus, let your will be done. Yes, lord, come on. Tell the foreign gods that they're dead. Tell every other faith that the gods that they serve are dead. Tell the other faiths, don't waste your time anymore. They're all dead. Follow Jesus because he's alive and Jesus created you and Jesus is for you. Father, bless this cup as we take this cup right now, in the name of Jesus, because you are alive. You are alive. The king is alive. Cover me from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Thank you for redemption In Jesus' name. Amen, hallelujah, let your will be done.
Speaker 1:Wherever you are this evening, wherever you are this morning, whatever your time is, don't waste your time jumping in the arena trying to explain who God is. Step back and just say God loves you. I don't need to explain my God, because he's the king. He's the king of kings. Wherever you are tonight, may God bless you and carry you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We're out of here. Thank you for joining us tonight. Wherever you are, on radio, on podcast, on social media, may the hand of God be over you. And remember, don't explain, you don't need to get in the arena, Just follow Jesus. Good night, god bless.
