Speaker 1:

Now, without further ado, let's get straight into our prayer time together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let's pray, father, in the name of Jesus. Firstly, lord, I pray for a blessing on my brothers and sisters in the name of Jesus, sister and brother, we're going to dive straight in. We're going to go to the beautiful book of Psalm 91, verse 2. He is my refuge and my fortress. The prayer title today is Protection and safety. Father, in the name of jesus, we need protecting and we need to feel safe. So, whatever city we live in, whatever town we live in, wherever our home is, father, we pray for safety and protection because you tell us through Psalm 91, verse 2, he is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. So, lord, we need that place of safety, we need that fortress, we need to get under your wings, we need Father in this environment in which we live. As we travel to work, we commute to school, lord, as we take the children, father, and as we move about, as we go to family groups you know, play groups, lord as we travel across the world commuting holidays, lord, we pray for protection in the name of Jesus, lord, and you will remove all danger from the roads, lord, from the commute, from the transport that we use. That, father, danger, lord, will not come near us. In the name of Jesus and Father, we are protected.

Speaker 1:

Lord, we also pray for protection over families today, as they go to school, as they live lives, as they move across the world. Father, we pray that you will protect families and the love of God will be over them and the power of the Holy Spirit will sit and rest on every family, those with large families, small families, and also we pray for those that don't have any families, that you will bless them from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet. Lord, we thank you that you have protected us. In Jesus' name, we pray, lord, for nighttime. We pray for those that are fearful of night, those that may be on their own in their home, those, dear God, that are fearful of the darkness and they are fearful, dear God, of the evening coming and approaching. And for those that are scared of different seasons coming in the winter season, the darkness and the grayness, dear God, of that winter season. So today, lord, wherever we are, we pray for protection.

Speaker 1:

We pray as we travel, we pray for protection over families and over humanity today. But, lord, we also ask you that you'll keep those people safe at night that are worried about sleeping. They're frightened of the darkness. We thank you that darkness has no power over us. We thank you that darkness was broken at the cross of Calvary and we pray for those that have trouble sleeping that they will sleep well, in the name of Jesus, that their sleep will be sweet. So, father, lord, we thank you for the power of God and the Holy Spirit today. So, lord, wherever people are, we just ask you, father, that the great word of God and the power of your name will come, lord, and set the captives free. Spirit of the living God, we ask you, lord, that you will just be with us and guide us and lead us, today that we will know that our Redeemer lives. And because he lives, we can face tomorrow, because today is a great day.

Speaker 1:

We pray for safety at home. We pray, lord, for protection from harm. We pray for spiritual protection. We claim the blood of Jesus over us. Today, lord, father, apart from all the worldly areas of danger, lord, we thank you, lord, that we are protected spiritually because we have the blood of Jesus over us. And, Lord, we pray Lord for all humanity. We pray for every human being, lord, whatever faith, whatever culture, whatever lifestyle. We pray for peace across the world. So today, lord, through this prayer time together, lord, will you protect us.

Speaker 1:

And Lord, we thank you for Psalm 91, verse 2. He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. So, lord, I thank you that danger shall not prevail as I travel, as I walk, as I live my life. Lord, I thank you that families are protected. I thank you, lord, that night tremors are gone. At the name of Jesus, I thank you that evil has no power over us.

Speaker 1:

Today, spirit of the living God, as we return home safe, as we leave the house safe, safe we shall return. In the name of jesus, darkness has no power. Spirit of the living god, we come to you in these moments and we say, lord, protect us, cover us in the blood of jesus, and we thank you for your word, lord. We thank you for psalm 91, verse 2. He is my refuge and my fortress. My God will protect you. May the Holy Spirit lead you. May you see miracle after miracle in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you for joining us today on our daily Christian prayer podcast with myself, reverend Ben Keeper. May God keep you and bless you. See you tomorrow on another daily prayer podcast. Until tomorrow, god bless.
