Hope in the Lord, Not in Religion

Scripture Focus: Isaiah 40:28–31
Speaker: Pastor Ben Cooper

What happens when we place our trust in religious systems instead of Jesus Himself? In this compelling and deeply challenging episode, Pastor Ben Cooper brings an unfiltered exploration of Isaiah 40:28–31—one of the most uplifting passages in Scripture—yet used here to challenge the very foundations of what we’ve built our faith on.

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”
Not those who hope in denominations.
Not those who hope in personalities or religious institutions.
Only those who hope in the Lord.

This teaching exposes a vital distinction: between religion and relationship, between performance-based Christianity and Spirit-filled intimacy with Jesus. Pastor Ben boldly confronts the truth that many believers have unknowingly placed their faith in systems, routines, and spiritual leaders rather than in Christ alone.

As this episode unfolds, you’ll be invited to reflect deeply on your walk with God:

  • Are you a Christ-follower or a crowd-follower?
  • Is your strength being renewed by the Holy Spirit—or drained by trying to please people?
  • Have you built your identity around your church culture or your connection to the Savior?

Faith and hope are presented not just as theological ideas, but as spiritual weapons. Hope operates in the realm of expectation—it lifts the heart toward God’s promises. Faith is the assurance that what we hope for is already secured in Christ. Together, they form the unshakeable foundation that carries us through every storm.

We also explore the broader call of Isaiah 40—how God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. This isn’t about managing burnout; it’s about encountering the renewing power of the living God. God’s strength doesn't come from routine, ritual, or performance—it flows from deep hope rooted in Him.

Pastor Ben invites listeners to challenge their comfort zones and assess the voices influencing their faith. Who is shaping your theology? Is it tradition, trends, or truth? This episode is both a warning and an invitation—to rise, to hope, and to walk again in the power of renewed strength.

If you’ve been caught in the exhaustion of religion without the renewal of relationship, this is your moment to realign. Let go of man-made systems and place your full hope in the One who never grows tired or weary.

We thank you for joining us on social networks. We thank you for joining us wherever you are in the world of podcasts. May God bless you and strengthen you. In the mighty name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, we're going to get straight into the Word of God. We're going to go to the book of Isaiah. If you have a Bible in front of you, you know. Let's turn to the book of Isaiah. Let's go to the book of Isaiah 40. We're going to go to Isaiah, chapter 40, and we're going to take our eyes down to verse 28. We're going to go to verse 28.

Speaker 2:

You know a bit of a move on from where he was yesterday within the church. You know some of you may have been with us yesterday in the service. You know just a little bit of a push on from where he was yesterday. But welcome everybody, wherever you are across the world. May God strengthen you and guide you and lead you. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. There is power in the greatest name in heaven and earth and you carry that name. You are a name carrier. You know you carry that name. You are a name carrier. You know you carry the greatest name in heaven and earth and at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow. So, wherever you are scattered across this world, may the presence of God and may the love of God and may the power of the Holy Spirit be with each and every one of you.

Speaker 2:

We're live in the studio here within the UK. You're joining Alex and myself, so we welcome you to the mics this evening, as we're just going to study the word, we're going to break bread together, and wherever you are situated across the world, may the hand of God lead you in paths of righteousness. But let's get straight in without further ado. Let's just pray, you know. Let's just pray a moment and ask God that he will lead us. So let's quickly just pray and I don't mean quickly pray just to crack that out of the way, but you know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

Father, in the name of Jesus, we just pray for everybody that's joining us today across the world, father, wherever they are, lord, we thank you for those that are local to the studio and those, dear God that are scattered on the other side of the world, and we pray, spirit, that the fire of God will be everybody, lord, and be with everyone sorry wherever they are across this beautiful earth. So, father, strengthen everybody online, everybody on audio, everybody on visuals, everybody on RB Christian Radio, wherever you are. This evening, we pray that the fire of God will be with you, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and may you receive your healing, your miracles, and may the word of God just set you free, because who the Son sets free is free. Indeed, there is power in freedom, and you are free tonight. So, father, we pray again for blessings and miracles, healing and peace, and the love of God will prevail over each and every one of us. Right, we're in. We are in. And one more time, welcome to every human being that is scattered across the world in the mighty name of jesus. You are live with us here in the studio, here within the uk rb christian radio. We are in the church studio and, as we stream this across the world, thank you so much from the very bottom of our heart, here in, uh, in this studio. Right, we're going to go to verse 28 and if you're with us, grab yourself a bible. Get those holy eyes from the very bottom of our heart here in this studio. Right, we're going to go to verse 28. And if you're with us, grab yourself a Bible. Get those holy eyes of yours out, you know, take them off Netflix and get them on the Word of God. Ditch Coronation Street tonight, eastenders, all that old razzmatazz, come on, let's read the Word of God. So, wherever you are, grab yourself a Bible.

Speaker 2:

We are in Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 28, and it says do you not know, have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases power of the weak, even the youths. They grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint. Father, in the name of jesus, my God, look at them.

Speaker 2:

Scriptures that we're in tonight. Let's start. Let's start at the back end. Let's start in verse 31. So, if you're joining us now across the world, we're in verse 31 of Isaiah, chapter 14. It says but those who hope in the Lord. We want to encourage you from this studio tonight to have all your hope in God, to have all your hope in God, to have all your hope in the power of the word of God. We are living in times that we have never experienced before on planet earth, and now is a time to put every ounce of energy and strength and far above these earthly attributes that we carry is to put your faith in God. I want to tell you if you are looking for healing tonight, put your hope in God. If you are looking for a miracle tonight, put your hope in God. If you are looking for financial breakthrough, put your hope in God. You know, let's have a look at these scriptures together. Let's just take our time. So, wherever you are tonight on the other side of the earth, you know, may God strengthen you and bless you. It says in verse 31 of Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 31.

Speaker 2:

But those who hope in the Lord, you know, when we hope, when we put our hope and it's very difficult, isn't it how do we actually bring an understanding? How do we verbalize, how do we bring to the English language or whatever language you have, whatever your native tongue is, however your speech is, whatever your educational press is, however, and whoever you are, how do we bring a quick-fired answer to hope? I think I would put it up like this I equate hope to faith. You know the Bible talks about faith, faith and hope. I believe they go together. You know I'm hoping so.

Speaker 2:

When you look at Hebrews 11, if you have a Bible, turn to Hebrews 11, verse 1. As you're with us and many of us you've stayed with us for many, many years you will find that there are a foundational amount of scriptures that I use because they are fundamental to Christianity and it's really, really important that we hold fast to the Word of God. But there are areas in the Bible that God will keep us. There are fundamental points, and Hebrews 11, verse 1, I believe, now faith. So when you look at that, there is a distinction between faith and hope. But I believe that when you bring them down together and you look at the narrative and you really analyze and you really depict and you look at that, I believe that they run beautifully together.

Speaker 2:

You know, are you needing healing tonight? Let's hope for your healing, wherever you are. If you're laying in hospital now, if you're in a hospice, if you're in bed listening to this through radio, watching this through live stream, wherever you are, if you're traveling, if you're commuting, we hope for you tonight. We hope that you will get your healing. So hope is secondary to faith.

Speaker 2:

Faith is first because, when you look at hope, faith is first because, when you look at hope, hope is of this natural world. Hope is a natural understanding of a normalized word. Hope is a word that we use, that we bring to our feelings, our emotions and our lives. But the word faith, the word faith accelerates us into the spiritual spheres of the word of God. It accelerates us into the world, the world of the unknown to the human eye. But it is known, it is known to the triune Godhead that we serve. So, wherever you are, if you are feeling unwell tonight, if you are feeling worried tonight, if you've been diagnosed with something, if you are worried about the mortgage, the children, the life, whatever you may be going through in your life, wherever you are at this moment in time, we pray and we believe and we are hopeful. But above the hope, we believe. So that's where faith comes in.

Speaker 2:

So when you look at verse 31, when you look at these scriptures. It says but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. So when we hope in the Lord, you know he is our hope, he is our refuge, he is our fortress. It is the word of God. It is the word of God and I pray right now, wherever you are, that the word of God will hold you tight wherever you are, whether you're at home, whether you're commuting, whether you're on holiday, whether you're traveling, whether you're at home, whether you're commuting, whether you're on holiday, whether you're traveling, whether you're sitting in your car or your van, you're commuting around the circuit of motorways. Wherever you are in life. I pray for those that are joining us at this moment in time across the world. We are in the book of Isaiah and we are in chapter 40 and we are in verse 28. But at the moment I am in verse 31.

Speaker 2:

But those who hope in the Lord, I want to encourage you tonight to hope in the Lord. Don't trust in human beings. Don't put every fabric and every fiber that you have into a human. Yes, it's great to have the human around you, but what and who is the human in our lives? We have to be careful who we allow into the circle of our lives. That's critical. Yes, there are people in your life that are beautiful people. Yes, you have people around you that you can walk with, but let's just take humanity out of the arena, because what we need to do is we need to put our hope and our faith in the eternal God. So if you're with me in verse 31, faith in the eternal God. So if you're with me in verse 31, it says but for those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, I want to tell you tonight that your strength is being renewed.

Speaker 2:

You might have hit the bottom of the barrel. There is no hope in your bones. You might be fearful, you might be worried, you might be doubtful, you might be uncertain, you might not be too sure, you might not be too sure, you might not be too sure of what's going on in your life at this moment in time, and maybe maybe you've hit the drum. Maybe you've hit the drum where all hope has gone. But let me tell you this God is the God of hope, god is the God of faithfulness, god is the God of all heaven and earth and God is with you.

Speaker 2:

We are in the book of Isaiah, isaiah, chapter 40, and we're in verse 31, and it says but those who hope in the Lord, do you know who the Lord is? He is the everlasting Savior, he is the King of kings, he is the God of Israel. He is the Father. He is the King of kings, he is the Lord of lords. He is this good book. All the way through, as I hold this book up, he is El Shaddai, jehovah Jireh, jehovah Nissi, jehovah Shalom. He is your rock, he is your strength, he is your guide, he is the one that is carrying you.

Speaker 2:

Are you weary and tired? Do you feel worn down by life? Let me tell you this your strength is being renewed. It's not by anybody else in the world, but it's by the eternal God that loves you. Tell yourself that Jesus Christ loves you. Tonight, the Bible says nothing can separate from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. Nothing can separate you from that eternal power. Nothing can separate you from this glorious love that is through Christ, that is in God, through the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 2:

No matter how your feelings are, how much you are looking at life, how the world tells who you are, don't listen to who the world tells you who you are. If you've got bad vibes and bad words around your life, we want to encourage you to ditch those people. Don't hang around negative people that are running you down, that are tearing you down, that are holding you back. Don't have anybody in your life that is stopping you move in your life. How do people stop us moving? They tell us lies, they spin yarns to us. Just remind yourself who you are.

Speaker 2:

You're blessed and highly favoured, wonderfully and fearfully made. Your hope is in the word of God. Be careful of the company that you keep. Be careful who is in your circle. Be careful that you are not eating your food from the trough of pigs, just like the prodigal son. Be careful who you dine with because, let me tell you this, there are many people that are dining with swine. Be careful of the swine that might be in your life. Be careful of the people you keep company with. Be careful of the people on your social networks. Be careful who you WhatsApp. Be careful who you message. Be careful who is in your circle. Do not hang around with pigs. You was not created to eat the rubbish that pigs eat. You was created for this, for his goodwill and his good pleasure.

Speaker 2:

And if anyone is stealing your faith, is anyone taking your hope? Is anyone running you down? Is anyone weighing you down? Is anyone holding you back? Do you feel empty and do you feel lost tonight? Let me tell you this Pack up your suitcase, get out.

Speaker 2:

In the name of Jesus, let me encourage you tonight to be steadfast in the word of God. You are a child of the living God. You are a son or a daughter of the Most High. You are blessed and highly favoured. There is power in the name of Jesus. We want to encourage you right now and we tell you right now, wherever you are across this world, thank you for joining us in the studio. You are joining us here, RB Christian Radio, as we stream this service right now across the world. The Lord is speaking to you, speaking to Alex in front of me, and God is speaking to me. God is telling us trust me. God is calling you right now to trust in him. God is telling you to stand up for your faith. God is telling you tonight do not allow those that are trying to take your hope away and destroy your faith and take the character away from you. Be careful of the people in your life. Do they know who you really are? Are they really walking with you? Are they encouraging you? Are they with you right now? In the name of Jesus Christ, the Lord is real, god is alive and the power of the Holy Spirit is with you wherever you are right now.

Speaker 2:

In the name of Jesus Christ, let's get back in the word of God and we are in verse 31 and we're in the book of Isaiah, chapter 40, and it says but those who hope in the Lord, let's not hope in social media. Let's not hope in the money. Let's not hope in the family. Let's not hope in the husband and the wife and the brother and the sister. Let's certainly not hope in the money. Let's not hope in the family. Let's not hope in the husband and the wife and the brother and the sister. Let's certainly not hope in pastor. Let's not hope in anything of this world. Let's put all of our hope in the eternal word of God. The Bible says seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and everything else shall be added unto thee.

Speaker 2:

God is saying something to me. God is saying something to you tonight. Wherever you are capturing this audio, wherever you are watching this visual. You know we pray as we broadcast across the world. Tonight God is saying trust me, ben, wherever you are across the world, trust me, I've got a plan for you. You don't need money, you don't need materialism, you don't need anything. What the world. Trust me, I've got a plan for you. You don't need money, you don't need materialism, you don't need anything. What the world is offering. All I'm requiring you to do is to be hopeful in the scripture and be faithful to the word of God. Never give up.

Speaker 2:

There is power in the word of God and God is calling you tonight to step out in hope and in faith. And Hebrews 11, verse 1, now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Come on, faith and hope. They run beautifully together, they're seamlessly together, they're woven together through the tapestry of the literature of the word of God. They are rich. The word of God is rich, and I'm not referring to in the pound coin or the sterling, I'm referring the word of God is rich in authority, the word that you carry. That is devil trampling, hell, shaking the word of God. The word of God is in your spirit. Do you realize who you are tonight. Do you realize that you are a born again, spirit filled, blessed and highly favored? Do you realize that God is calling you? God is calling you to hope, god is calling you to the word, god is calling you to great things. God is saying trust me. God is saying trust me wherever you are right now.

Speaker 2:

In the name of Jesus Christ, there is power. In the name of Jesus Christ, let me tell you something loud and clear you do not need a church, you do not need the building. You do not need us Elim Church. You do not need any denomination, you do not need Hillsongs, you do not need Elevation Worship, you do not need Holy Trinity Brompton. You do not need Catholicism, the Pentecostal movements. You do not need any movement. Let me tell you this you need Jesus Christ and the prayer, and what I'm saying right now is now for me. I need Jesus. I don't need this building, we don't need this studio. Thank God for that. We thank God for that, but it is not kin to my salvation, because salvation sits in the hands of God and he is your. El Shaddai, jehovah Jireh, jehovah Shalom.

Speaker 2:

Let me tell you tonight have a break from church, have a rest from the building, have a rest from the ministry. Have a rest and grab yourself a Bible and go and sit in the back of the van. Go and sit in the car. Go and sit in McDonald's. Go and sit wherever you got to sit. Go and sit in the field. Go and sit wherever you got a sit gun. Sit in a field gun, sit wherever you need to sit. And read this word, because it's this word that we need.

Speaker 2:

I don't need church. Church is boring, church is stagnant. Church is drying up. Church is a charity. Church is just not hitting the drum that it needs to hit. But let me tell you this you are part of the kingdom of God and God is with you and the power of the Holy Spirit, wherever you are tonight. Look in the mirror, I'm telling you now. Look in the mirror and start smiling, because God loves you.

Speaker 2:

Don't worry about church, don't worry about pastors, Don't worry. We can't be pastor pleasers. We can't be minister pleasers. You know we can't please the pastors, the bishops, the deacons, the leaders, the authoritarians. We are not here to please the church. We are here to walk in faith and to walk in the word of God. You were called before the fabric of the world and, as you're with me tonight, let's carry on in this scripture. You know when these scriptures that we are in right now.

Speaker 2:

We are in verse one of Isaiah, chapter 40, but those who hope in the Lord If God wanted me to hope in Elim, he would have put the word Elim in the Bible. If God wanted you to hope in the bishop or your pastor or your leader, he would have put their name in the Bible. But God put this name in the Bible. This is what God said. But those who hope in the Lord, because there's no hope in materialism, hope in the Lord because there's no hope in materialism, there's no hope in the political drive, there's no hope in money, there's no hope in religion. There might be a slender little bit of hope in certain churches. You know what I'm saying, but let me tell you this there is all hope in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is with you tonight. God said, through Christ Jesus I will not leave you as an orphan.

Speaker 2:

Do you feel alone tonight? Do you feel left? Do you feel abandoned? Do you feel that your hope has gone? Your faith has left you? Do you feel that you are just literally in a place that is dry. Are you in a church that is just boring, more interested in croissants and cappuccinos and fundraising? Are you in a church that is talking about the blood of Jesus, eschatology, the cross of Christ? You know, get yourself into a ministry and a church where the leaders and the preachers are preaching hellfire and damnation. Get yourself in a church where they're preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, because this nation needs the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Speaker 2:

You know, I don't need church, I don't need religion, I need Jesus. And Jesus says I am the way, the truth, the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If Jesus wanted Elim to be the way, if Jesus wanted the Church of England to be the way, if Jesus wanted Elim to be the way, if Jesus wanted the Church of England to be the way, if Jesus wanted all these big ministries to be the way, he would have put their name in the scripture. But God says, through Christ Jesus, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. It is Jesus. He is your savior, he is your rock, he is your El Shaddai, he is your Jehovah Jireh, he is your Jehovah Nissi. He is everything that you need.

Speaker 2:

You don't need church, you don't need money. You don't need your family. You don't need your social friends, because they will just take you to social media and they will take you to the devil's workshop. Let me tell you this you need someone in your life that will keep you and pray for you. You need someone in your life that will encourage you. You will hold on to the word of God.

Speaker 2:

God is looking at you tonight. He sees your heart. He's not worried how many times I preach. He's not counting how many podcasts I do. He's not interested in the fabric of the building. He's not interested in the bricks and the mortar of the church. He loves your heart. God loves you. God loves you.

Speaker 2:

It's irrelevant where you go to church. It's irrelevant what church you're under. It is irrelevant what ministry you are under. There is power in the blood of Jesus. It is the blood of Jesus that was shed at the cross.

Speaker 2:

What pastor was at the cross of Calvary? What leader was at the cross of Calvary? What leader in this Western church era that we have? Who was it that died on the cross for you? Who was it that gave his life for you? Tell me, was it pastor? This? Was it pastor that? Was it bishop that? No, it wasn't. They was in the corner counting their money, worried more about their Mercedes and their parking space at church. Let me tell you this right now it was Christ that went to the cross of Calvary. It was no denomination, it was no religious person, it wasn't your friend, it wasn't your brother, it wasn't your sister, it wasn't me, it wasn't Alex, it was no pastor, it was no leader, it was no family member. It wasn't your husband or your brother or your wife who went to the cross of Calvary. Jesus, it's all about Jesus. There is no other way. There is no other way.

Speaker 2:

We are watching, in the UK and in the West, the great falling away. The megachurches are hanging onto people's ankles. Theachurches are pulling people back because it is. They are a commodity, they are a sterling, they are a dollar. That's what they are. But we got to hold on to the word of faith. Wherever you are tonight, we want to encourage you to be brothers and sisters of the word of god. We are in the book of isaiah. We are in the book of Isaiah and where we are is Isaiah 40, verse 31.

Speaker 2:

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. Let me tell you this now you will restore your strength when you get the word of God in your spirit, when you start reading. If you can't read, it's not a problem. Get yourself. Get your phone out, get your iPad, get your laptop out, put Alexa on and get the word of God playing, put it in your car, put it on your earbuds. Go to sleep.

Speaker 2:

Listen to the word of God. As people know, I listened for three years off the bounce, just in Psalms, from Psalms all the way through Psalms, psalms, psalms. It is the word of God that will get you through. It is the word of God that will lift you. It is the word of God that will bring prosperity. It is the word of God that will bring healing. It is the word of God that will turn life around. It is the word of God that will free the captives. It is the word of God that sickness bows to. It is the word of God that sets the prisoners free. It is the word of God that brings hope. It is the word of God, it is scripture.

Speaker 2:

If God wanted us, if God wanted us, if God wanted us to be under pastors and leaders. He would have named them. If he wanted us to be under denominations, he would have put them in the book. But what it says, it's all about Jesus. It's all about the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. And what is this book about?

Speaker 2:

If I have to wrap this up in just a couple of words, when they say, pastor Ben, what do you say? What is the word about? The word is about redemption From Genesis to Revelation. Word is about redemption from genesis to revelation. It is about redemption. So what is under the fabric, what is under the texture, what is under the, the flavor, what is under the rhythm of that word? Redemption? If we had redemption in front of our eyes and we was able to lift up the envelope and look inside, you'd look inside the envelope and you'd see Jesus, because he's the redeeming king, he's the great high priest. There is no other human being that went to the cross. The everlasting king, the everlasting Messiah, the great I am. So the word of God. If you need to wrap that up, if someone says to you what is the holy word of God about? What is the fundamental point of the word, give me one word.

Speaker 2:

Over these 66 books, through these 40 authors, written over 1,496 years. Pastor Ben, tell me in one word what this is about Redemption. The word of God is about redemption. Wherever you are right now, you are redeemed. We want to welcome you on the other side of the world. We want to welcome you right now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Speaker 2:

The Bible is about redemption. It's about being redeemed, brought back, brought back Now. I want to bring us and take us back very, very quickly. You know, wherever you are across the world, it is 8.40 and 13 seconds here in the UK. We are time critical. At nine o'clock tonight we will disappear in a puff of smoke.

Speaker 2:

We are in isaiah, chapter 40, and we're in verse 31. It says but for those who hope in the lord, where are we putting our hope? What is our hope in? But for those who hope in the lord will renew their strength. Lord, lord, I'm hopeful tonight. So how do I hope? What is that? What is that value? How do I hope? It is simply by this Lord I'm putting my trust, and I'm not sure what trust is. Lord, I'm putting my faith and at this moment, lord, I'm not sure what faith is. I'm putting my hope, but, lord, I'm not even sure what hope is, because they're invisible ingredients that sit in the spiritual realm of the heavenly places. So what do I do? What do I do? Sorry, I speak.

Speaker 2:

The Bible says out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water. Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water. Father, I hope tonight, lord, I hope and I pray and I believe all things work together for the good of those you know. All things work together. You know what the devil meant for harm, god will turn for good. What the devil meant for harm, god will turn for good.

Speaker 2:

I've got to speed up a little bit here, because we're time conscious at this moment in time. Oh me, oh, the screen just went. Oh, lord, help me. Jesus, come on, this is live. Wherever you are, this is live. I've got the screen back, we're there, we're there, we're there. You know whoever hopes in the Lord Isaiah 40, verse 31. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint. Let me tell you tonight the eagle is the greatest bird the world has ever seen. It soars at such high altitude world has ever seen. It soars at such high altitude. It glides across the storms of life. The eagle is such a powerful flyer. So I want to pray tonight. As the scripture says, we shall soar on wings as of eagles.

Speaker 2:

If you are worried tonight, we're coming to the table in just a couple of moments and as we come to the table, we want to encourage you tonight to be Jesus followers. We want to encourage you to follow Jesus. And what does that mean to be a Jesus follower? The majority of the time it means to ditch religion. We've got to ditch religion because religion will chew you and religion will hold you back. You know, it's really, really important that we encourage one another to be Jesus followers, not to be people pleasers, not to be pleasing people around us, because if we please the people around us, if we please the people around us, come on, we lose our identity. There are many people, there are many people, many people tonight lost their identity, lost their identity in people around them, lost their identity in people around them and living in historical events. God is saying that enough is enough. But, lord, what do I do? He says trust me. So as we come to the table tonight, we're going to break bread and we're going to take this cup in just a few minutes. So, wherever you are across the world, we want to encourage you. We want to encourage you right now. We want to encourage you right now. We want to encourage you right now.

Speaker 2:

It's really, really important, sisters and brothers, to follow Jesus. If you are in a church and they're not preaching the cross and salvation. If you are in a church and they're not talking about the blood of Christ. If you're in a church and they're not preaching the fundamental, the doctrines of God, christ, if they're not talking about creation, because creation is critical. As a Christian, why is Genesis chapter 1 so critical? Because Genesis, chapter 1 is the foundation of redemption.

Speaker 2:

Redemption is in Genesis, right from the kick point, right from the get-go. Genesis is about redemption. Redemption is in Genesis, right from the kick point, right from the get-go. Genesis is about redemption and hope and new beginnings. And the Creator is telling us and God said let there be light. Jesus says I am the light of the world. Jesus is the Redeemer.

Speaker 2:

When you look at the Word of God, if you have to sum the Word of God up in one word, if anyone ever comes to you and says okay, then what is your Bible about? My Bible, the Word of God, is about redemption. Redemption is the key word Because, from Genesis to Revelation, the Word of God is redeeming. The Word of God is redeeming. The word of god is redeeming and as we come to the table tonight, we're going to break bread. Right now, we want to invite you, wherever you are across this world, we're going to break this bread. I'm holding this bread in my hand. Right now, we're going to say the lord's prayer. We want to give you a moment just to grab yourself a bit of bread and a bit of grape juice, a bit of wine, whatever you've got by you. We want to encourage you right now.

Speaker 2:

You know, stop worrying about going to church and follow jesus. Let this be the night where you heard me, pastor ben, and I said don't go to church, find jesus through the living word. See, there is power in the word of god, there is power in the word, and I pray tonight that the living word of god will set you free. In the word of god, there is power in the word and I pray tonight that the living word of god will set you free, that the word of god will open your heart, your mind, your body, your soul, that the fire of god will open you up right now. In the name of jesus christ and lord, we pray that tonight, through the power of the holy, that you will strengthen us and you will redeem us and you will guide us and you will lead us. So, lord, as we come to the table, we're going to say the Lord's prayer right now.

Speaker 3:

I invite you to say the Lord's prayer with me, our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed. Be thy name, thy kingdom, come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Hello, be thy name, thy kingdom, come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us of our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen, the power and the glory forever and ever, amen, amen, amen, amen.

Speaker 2:

Father, wherever the human race is tonight, wherever they are you know, wherever my brothers and sisters are scattered across the world, lord, we come to you as sinners saved by grace. And, lord, we ask you that you will strengthen us right now, in the name of Jesus, that you will fill us to the full measure of your glory, that the fire of God will sit in our innermost being, that we will feel your love and your grace and your favor. But as we break this bread together, a sinner, thank you, lord. We are sinners, but on the flip side of that, we are saved through the sanctifying work of Christ at the cross of Calvary. Lord, will you take away anger from me? Will you take bitterness, being selfish? Am I jealous? Lord, whatever stuff is going on in our lives, in our hearts, will you remove that tonight? And, lord, will you pour yourself in? Lord, we want to live by the fruit of the spirit. We want to live with the gift, gifts of the spirit. We want to live, lord, in the power of the holy ghost. So, lord, whatever is troubling us, whatever is holding us, will you cut the umbilical cord tonight? Will you cut that umbilical cord between social networks, whatsapp groups, facebook, tiktok, snapchat, all that stuff, instagram. Lord, we don't want to be a slave to social media, lord, we want to find the fulfillment that we need through the Word of God. So, lord, will you open our hearts tonight? We break bread together. Now, lord, across this world, through radio, through live stream, through podcast, lord, through the power of technology, we break bread together in the name of Jesus. So, father, I thank you that this bread symbolizes the body of Christ and, as I break this right now, thank you that you died for each and every one of us in the name of Jesus, amen.

Speaker 2:

You know you don't need, you don't need to be in church to break bread. I actually hope that you're at home. I hope that you might be sitting on a scaffold, flying in an aircraft, walking down the street, sitting on the curb, sitting on the edge of your bed, sitting in your car. You don't need to be in church to take bread and to take out a cup. That's just religion, because Jesus says wherever you are, whatever you're doing, do this in remembrance of me. You know the church doesn't do this enough. The church doesn't break bread and take out a cup enough, so we need to bypass the church and religion and you do it at home.

Speaker 2:

You do it in the space that you're at, you're with your friends, wherever you are, we want to encourage you to break bread at home, in your workspace, sitting on the train, commuting on the bus, wherever you are. We want to encourage you to break bread with us, because this is not about religion, this is about relationship, this is about having a relationship with Jesus Christ. So, father, will you? Wherever we are tonight, whether we're on a train, whether we're at home, whether we're sitting in the back of the van with our work colleagues, wherever we are right now, lord Father, I pray Lord.

Speaker 2:

Staff room, at home, wherever we are right now, lord Father, I pray Lord. Staff room, at home, wherever we are commuting, we get this opportunity, jesus, to break bread wherever we are in the world. And tonight, as Alex and myself just sits in this studio for wherever every human being is now, we take this cup and we say Lord, thank you that this cup symbolizes the blood of Jesus. So, will you cleanse me? Will you cleanse me from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet? Wash me in the blood of Jesus, and I recognize that this cup symbolizes the blood of Christ In Jesus' name. Amen, alex. Uh, alex is going to share a prayer and then we're going to be out of here. In the name of jesus lord.

Speaker 4:

You are the everlasting god. You never grow tired or weary. Today we place our hope in you. Renew our strength. Help us rise on wings like an eagle. Help us to run and not grow tired, to walk and not to give up. You are the strength and our service In Jesus' name Amen.

Speaker 2:

Amen, amen, father. We thank you, lord. We move forward in the name of Jesus. So, lord, we ask you, father, as Alex has been praying, we ask you, lord, that you will just strengthen every one of us tonight, wherever we are, whatever culture, whatever color of our skin. You know we pray that the fire of God will be over you and remind yourself yourself you don't need church, you need jesus. It's jesus. Jesus is the way he says. I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. We want to encourage you tonight to be jesus followers, to be absolutely radical for god through Christ. We want to encourage you now to be radical, bible-believing believers and never give up.

Speaker 2:

Let's pray for miracles, father. We believe in miracles. We believe that we are healed. We believe that every organ in our body is well in the name of Jesus. We believe right now that sickness is gone. We believe that autism, adhd, ocd, fear is gone Back, pain is gone, arthritis is gone. We believe in miracles, father. I pray right now. Come, holy Spirit. You are worthy of all praise. You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. You are the great I Am. Father, we pray right now that the presence of the Holy Spirit will be with you.

Speaker 2:

You know we believe God is moving through the power of radio. You can find that on the online radio, rb Christian Radio. You can find us Reverend Ben Cooper's podcast. The reason it is Reverend Ben Cooper's podcast is just that it doesn't get lost in the mass called Elim, so it is free Wherever you are. Tonight we want to encourage you. Alex wants to say something.

Speaker 4:

On the website. There is a blog now where there's literally more information. More parts of scripts have been more detailed, so every podcast we've got now is more detailed.

Speaker 2:

Hallelujah, there you go. So, as Alex is so rightly saying, you can go and find us on rbchristianradionet. You can find it, you can go. There's lots of stuff on that website. But above all that, above all all that, it's great that we got that. But outside of that, and more than that, we need to tell you to follow jesus. You know, we can do as much as we can possibly do to encourage one another through radio, through sermons, through podcasts, through studies for expository, sermonizing and all that razzmatazz, but let me tell you this it is Jesus. It is Jesus over everything, it is Jesus through everything. He is your saviour, he is your king.

Speaker 2:

So, wherever you are across this world, as we have got about three minutes to four minutes, let's just take time to reflect and just remind ourselves where we was at this hour. We have been in the book of isaiah, chapter 40, verse 25, 28, sorry, down to 31. You know we just started at the reverse of that. We was in isaiah, chapter 40, verse 31, and let me remind ourselves. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint. Father, we thank you for the living word of God. The word of God is sharper than a double-edged sword and tonight, lord, we want more of your love and your mercy and your saving grace. We want more of you, jesus, in our lives. Father, will you strengthen us tonight? Will you keep us safe tonight, lord? Will you remove history from our lives? Father, we understand that history was nailed to the cross of Calvary. So, lord, will you remove the people that keep reminding us of what I was, what I was, lord, reminding us of what I was, what I was, lord, will you remove the people in our lives that keep reminding us what we was? Because, at the cross, jesus christ said it is finished, father, we believe it is finished and the best is before each and every one of us.

Speaker 2:

So, lord, as we gather around the word, as we've broken uh, broken bread, and gather around the word, as we've broken bread and take another cup together, tonight, as we've looked through the scripture together, father, we pray that we will grow. We will grow in Jesus, lord, that we will accelerate through the word of God, lord, that we will move forward. Lord, our destination is the kingdom of God, the place in heaven. He has prepared a place for you. So, wherever you are, do not let death frighten you, do not let fear hold you, do not let religion stifle you, do not allow family, friends, work, culture, history, do not allow education stop you from what God has for you. We want to encourage you to grab a Bible wherever you are across the world. As we come to a close of this service, we just have one minute. May God bless you and strengthen you, and we want to thank you for your support, for your prayers and everything you know.

Speaker 2:

Wherever you are tonight, across the world, be a Jesus follower, follower of the word of God. It is so critical that we follow the word of God, that we follow that scripture. You know, from Genesis to Revelation, and whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever life looks like, whatever lens you are looking at life in, I pray that you will just, completely, just stand on the rock of all ages, that you will give yourself to Jesus like never before, that you will surrender and you will just fall in and just lean in, as the scripture says, as he leaned in, as the disciple leaned in to Jesus. Let's all lean into Jesus.

Speaker 2:

Don't lean into me, don't lean into Eileen, don't lean into the church, don't lean into the pastors and the people around you. We've got to lean into healing. Don't lean into the church, don't lean into the pastors and the people around you. We've got to lean into Jesus, lean into the bosom of Christ. Let everything that you've got rest in Jesus. You've been here with us tonight as we've been streaming across the world. We are out of here in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. God bless, we'll see you later. We are out.
