Jesus, The Only Way (#1078 - Elim)
When the Way Closes, Christ Opens One – Escaping the Impossible with John 14:6
Have you ever found yourself trapped—cornered by life, with nowhere to go? Those moments where it seems there's no way forward and no way back are not accidents—they’re often divine setups for breakthrough.
In this faith-building episode, Reverend Ben Cooper unpacks the power behind Jesus’ words in John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” These words aren't just theology—they are a lifeline in your darkest hour. When you find yourself up against the proverbial Red Sea, with Pharaoh’s army closing in, God is not absent. He is preparing a miraculous escape route that only faith can see.
The message also draws deeply from Isaiah 43:16, reminding us that the Lord is the One who “makes a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.” When you feel hemmed in—emotionally, financially, relationally—these scriptures reveal a God who doesn’t remove the obstacle but often parts it right down the middle.
In today’s world of chaos, where social media noise, financial pressure, and relationship breakdowns try to drown out God’s voice, this message invites you to lean into Christ as the way-maker. It’s a word for anyone who feels boxed in, left behind, or abandoned by people they once trusted.
Reverend Ben offers a candid reflection on how trials reveal true loyalty. Just like Peter denied Jesus when the pressure rose, many of us have seen “friends” disappear when our lives fall apart. Yet Christ never leaves. He not only stays—He turns the enemy’s attack into your stepping stone to victory.
This isn’t just encouragement—it’s revelation for the believer caught between battle and breakthrough. Whether you’re facing a health scare, financial crisis, spiritual warfare, or emotional fatigue, this episode declares: Jesus is still the way. And the same God who split the Red Sea can clear your path.
Key Scriptures:
- John 14:6 – Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life
- Isaiah 43:16 – God makes a path through the sea
- Exodus 14:13–16 – Moses and the Red Sea
- Luke 22:61 – Peter’s denial and the rooster’s crow

Speaker 1:Good evening. Thank you so much for joining us on RB Christian Radio, and for everybody that's on the live, live stream, wherever you are across the world, as we gather around the Word of God, and we just want to say thank you to everybody that's putting the messages in and wherever you are situated, whatever your time zone is, whatever your life is at this moment in time, we welcome every one of you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Lord is good, his mercy endures forever. But let's just speak and let's get on with this. What do you mean? Let's just speak. I'm always speaking. Come on, we welcome every one of you, wherever you are at this moment in time. The Lord is good, his mercy endures forever, and we want to take each and every one of us into the Gospel of John. We're going to go to John. We're going to go to John 14 first. We're going to go to John 14 and we're going to go to where should we go? Let's go to chapter 14, verse 6. Let's just settling down. We're just connecting to a few servers. You know, the power of the Holy Spirit is with you, wherever you are at this moment in time. The Lord, god, is with you and all is well in the name of Jesus. But let's just get straight in to the word of God. You know, the Lord is with you, the power of the Holy Spirit is over you and, as we just gather around the word and we just see what God is doing, we want to welcome everybody. We're just connecting, we're just taking a couple of minutes. Everybody on radio, thank you for those that are on all the social networks at this moment in time, thank you for those that are in the world of podcasts. We are so blessed that you're with us. So, wherever you are, you know, we welcome each and every one of you in the glorious name of Jesus Christ. But let's go. As I said it a few times already, I think we'll get going before we run out of time.
Speaker 1:John 14, john 14. And we're going to pick it up in verse 6, you know, and it's that beautiful text. We've been here many, many times before. We're pretty familiar with these texts and we just want to just ask the lord that he will lead us tonight and I pray that, wherever you are situated across the world, whatever your time zone is and wherever you are, you know, and uh, just grab a bible, we're going to break bread in about 30 minutes or so or time, and uh, we're just going to break bread and take it a cup together in the name of jesus.
Speaker 1:But jesus answered I am the way, the truth, the, the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. It is that simple. It is that simple when you look at these scriptures that we're in at this moment in time. It says Jesus says I am the way, the truth and the life. You know he is the way, he is the way maker, he is the king of kings and the Lord of lords, and wherever you are situated tonight, we want to let you know that Christ is making a way for you, that Christ is opening up that door. Christ is about to do something great and really powerful in your life and we want to bring every one of you right now to this scripture. We're in the gospel of John 14, and we are in verse six. It's really, really important that I keep mentioning that. It's really important that we just grab ourselves a Bible wherever you are, and just settle down, get yourself a cup of coffee. But Jesus says I am the way.
Speaker 1:I think that we have lost our way. You know many of us may have lost our way. I'm not saying that all of us have lost our way, but sometimes things come along in life and there is a distraction, things happen and things get waylaid to the left and to the right. But as you look at this scripture that we're in, you know, and I just want to lead us tonight. I want to lead us to the cross. You know, I think it's really, really important that we get to the cross of Calvary. And as you open up the word, as you gather your thoughts in the world of radio, we welcome you to everyone here at RB, christian Radio.
Speaker 1:But Jesus is saying to you right now I am the way, the truth and the life.
Speaker 1:No one comes to the Father except through me. There is only one way, and his name is Jesus. You know we are shown many, many ways in the world. You know there are many ways across this world that you can go. But Jesus says I am the way. So we want to encourage you tonight, wherever you are situated, just to be a Jesus follower, to follow Christ. And whatever life looks like, whatever is facing you at this moment in time, whatever your hand is doing at this moment in time. I pray that it's got the word of God in it. I pray that you got the word of God and you're reading the scripture and the Holy Ghost is leading you in paths of righteousness.
Speaker 1:But there's nothing more finer, there's nothing more powerful than the scripture and, as we see what the Lord is saying, it's really critical that I understand that God wants to lead us, god wants to guide you, god wants to strengthen you, god wants to show you a way, a way that we've never been before, a way that we've never looked at before. Maybe, as we look at life, we are looking at very unusual ways at this moment in time, but we want to lead you now to Jesus Christ. So, wherever you are, whether on radio, whether in the world of podcasts, whether you're on this live stream service, we want to lead you to the cross. We want to take you to that place where you find rest, where you find stillness. We want to take you to the place where you just feel the love of Christ in your life and wherever you are situated, there is power. In the name of Jesus, because Christ is telling you tonight, christ is telling me at this moment in time, that he says I am the way, jesus is the way. So, whatever is going on, whatever you are going through, allow Christ into your heart. Now, that might be a bit of an unusual thing to say, to allow Christ in, you know, but we have to say Lord, I want you to come into my heart tonight, lord, I want you to lead me tonight, lord, I want you to lead me in paths of righteousness for your namesake. Lord, I want you to guide me. I need your hand on my life, lord. I need you, dear God, to take me through the valley of the shadow of death. I need you, lord, to reveal yourself to me. I need you, lord, to strengthen me, because I've got to tell you something now that's really, really important.
Speaker 1:We are living in the last days and we might have gathered that we might see, but as we sit here in the UK, things are happening that we never thought that would happen. But Jesus says I am the way. The world will tell you there are many ways to success. The world will tell you, there are many ways to see and achieve certain things, but Jesus is telling us that I am the way to eternal life. This is where we sit at this moment. Eternal life is critical that we, and each and every one of us, at some point across the timeline of this world, we will pass, and we will pass from this world and we will pass from this world and we will pass to the next world. We will pass into the kingdom, we will pass into them, heavenly realms, and if you can imagine, imagine what it's like standing in front of Christ when he says well done, good and faithful servant. Imagine if he said that how powerful, how beautiful, how lovely that would that be. But what about if he says away from me, I didn't know you. You know it is critical that we find christ.
Speaker 1:And we might say to ourselves well, yeah, you've spoken, you've podcasted, you've said a lot of stuff about predestination. Yes, we have and we've looked at predestination. But what's really, really important for me to understand is that I've got to step out and say, jesus, I need you, I need you in Lord. Lord, I know I'm born again, lord, I know I'm spirit-filled Lord, I know that the John 3, 3 sits over my life. But, lord, I need your leading hand, I need the power of the Holy Spirit. Lord, I need you to take me right now.
Speaker 1:Do you want freedom tonight. Do you want freedom in your life? Are you looking for a way forward? Are you looking for hope? Are you looking for restoration? Jesus is saying I am the way, the truth and the life. And let me tell you this God will make a way through Christ, because there is a way and he is the way. Jesus Christ is the way, he's the eternal way, he's the great I am. He's the beginning and he is the last. He is the truth. He is the last, he is the truth, he is the king, he is the glorious savior of heaven and earth. He is your Lord and your God.
Speaker 1:And wherever you are, I want to encourage you tonight to come to the cross of Calvary and when you look at that cross that is behind us, and when you look at that cross that is over our backdrop, you know, just study that cross, look at that cross and allow that image, allow that image just to press into the tablet of your heart, because Christ is the way. He says I am the way, the truth, the life. No one comes to the father except through me. So salvation comes from God, and God alone. And Jesus Christ. We have to go through Christ, you know, but Christ draws us. I want to let you know tonight that Jesus Christ is drawing you, that the Holy Spirit is drawing you, that the Father is drawing you into a greater and a deeper walk with him. So, wherever you are across this world, whether you're on radio, whether you're on live stream at this moment on camera, whether you're listening to this on one of the social networks, or whether you're listening to this back down the timeline of life and you are listening in the world of podcasts, we welcome you. But we want to take you to the cross. We want to take you to the cross of Calvary and we want to let you know that Jesus Christ is the savior of the world.
Speaker 1:But is your heart troubled tonight? Are you troubled? Are you worried? Are you fearful? Are you doubtful? Are you uncertain of what lies ahead? Are you scared of this moment in time? Is there things happening in your life that is making you weary and making you tired? Are there certain things around your life that is throwing you off point?
Speaker 1:Jesus says in the gospel that we're already in. Actually, when you look at verse 1, john 14, verse 1, do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God and trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. I want to let you know that your heart, god sees your heart. He sees your mind, he sees everything about your life and he's telling you tonight. He's telling me, he's telling Alex, he's telling every one of us trust me, trust me with your life, trust me in every situation, trust me. I want you to step out in faith tonight. I want you to walk strong tonight. I want you to trust me in every area of life, everything that is going on in your life. I want you to trust me because I am the way, and do not let your hearts be troubled. So, when we look at this gospel that we're in, we're in the gospel of John chapter 14 and we're in six, and also we've just mentioned verse one.
Speaker 1:It says in verse six of John chapter 14, jesus answered I am the way, the truth and the life. He is the way. Are you looking for a way tonight? Are you looking for a place to put your feet upon? Are you looking for a place to lean in? Are you looking for a place to rest? Are you looking for a place to lean in? Are you looking for a place to rest? Are you looking for a place just to rest your weary mind, your heart, your body, your soul. It is Jesus. Jesus is waiting and Jesus is calling. But also, jesus is calling and Jesus is drawing.
Speaker 1:It's very, very interesting that Christ, he draws us and he calls us. You know, sometimes we think, well, I've got a bit of power here, maybe, and I'll put it like this I'm going to. We think, well, I've got a bit of power here, maybe, and I'll put it like this I'm going to go to church today. I've decided, I've decided to be a Jesus follower. I've decided, well, actually, god is actually drawing you and God is calling you, and Jesus is drawing you. And we think to ourselves, well, I'll do this, I'll do A, b, c and D in the world of Christianity, but God, through Christ, is already drawing you. He's drawing you. You are redeemed. Do you realize that you are redeemed, that redemption is over your life? And we want to tell you tonight, from this studio. We want to tell you tonight do not worry, do not worry, do not be afraid.
Speaker 1:John 14, verse 1,.
Speaker 1:Do not let your hearts be troubled, do not be troubled by anything in this world. Jesus says I am the way. He's telling us that he is the seven I ams. He is the I am of everything. He holds the keys to death and to life. He is El Shaddai, jehovah Jireh, jehovah Nissi, and he wants you to know tonight. Do not worry, do not worry. Do not worry about your life, do not worry about situation, do not worry about finances, do not worry about your health, do not worry about the children. Do not allow yourself to get caught in the platform of social media and get trapped in the trends that are happening around the world. God is calling you. God is saying read my word, get in the word, trust me. Tonight I want to lead you in paths of righteousness.
Speaker 1:You might be in Psalm 23 and what I mean in the spiritual aspects of that. Even though I go through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff. They comfort me. You might be going through the valley of trouble, but Jesus says I am the way. He is your power, he is your strength. He is your power. He is your strength, he is your promise, he is your God, he is your rock. He is your El Shaddai. He is Jehovah Jireh, jehovah Nissi, jehovah Shalom. He is the great I am, he is the bread of life, he is the good shepherd, he is your king. You know the king is with you tonight and Jesus is saying something very, very important to you, to me, to Alex, to everybody, under the sound of our voice tonight. Do not worry, because I am the way and I have you. You are with me, you are mine. I have drawn you in. I have bought you with a price. The price was the blood of Jesus. Jesus says I am the way. He is the truth and the life.
Speaker 1:Three major areas christ is speaking about there. I am the way. Jesus says. There is no other way. I am the only way, I am the gate, I am the redeemer, I am the, the area that you need to be looking at. And we say to ourselves well, I go to church, I do this, I do that. It's not. We won't find jesus in of the churches, let me put it like that. But where we will find Jesus is, we'll find him in the Word of God.
Speaker 1:If you are looking for Jesus tonight, don't worry about the church. Get yourself a Bible and get straight into the Word of God, because there's promises in the Word waiting for you. The promises of the Word is sitting, is nestled in there. The Word is waiting for you. God is drawing you. You might be in the valley, you might be in a place of uncertainty, you might be worried, you might feel that your emotions are yo-yoing, that you've got the yo-yo aspect of emotions. You're up, you're down, you're this way, you're that way, you're to the left, you're to the right, you're bobbing backwards and forwards. You know, I pray that the Holy Spirit will lead you tonight. I pray that the fire of God, the spirit of truth, the spirit of truth, what the world cannot accept, I pray that the spirit of truth, the Holy Ghost, the God of all gods, the King above all kings, the great I am, I pray that, wherever you are tonight, that you will feel the power and the love of Christ and that beautiful rest. Do you need rest tonight? Jesus says I'm. The way. He doesn't mention church. He says Jesus says I am. The way. He doesn't say that religion is the way. He says I am. The way. He doesn't say Pastor Ben or Alex or Elim is the way. He doesn't say RB, christian Radio, is the. The way. He doesn't put any emphasis on any human being. He says I am the way. Jesus is the way, he is the truth.
Speaker 1:When you look at these scriptures and as we uh divulge and as we open up and see what the fabric of the text says, jesus says in verse 6 of john, chapter 14 I am the way and the truth. I love that. He is the truth. The Bible says in the Gospel of John, 8, 32, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. You know freedom. Are you looking for freedom tonight? Are you looking for a way out? Are you looking for a way forward in your life? Do you feel pressured? Do you feel really pressured in your life? Do you feel that you have got every pressure under the sun sitting on your shoulders? Do you feel that you are struggling to think straight? Is your mind awash with all the trouble with money, with finances, with home life, with work, with education, with children? Do you feel that you are overwhelmed? Christ is taking the baggage. Christ will carry you, christ will lead you. But as you look at these scriptures, we're in the gospel of john, chapter 14, and as you read john chapter 14, verse 6, jesus says I am the way, the truth, he is the truth. You know, the devil is a liar.
Speaker 1:Don't listen to what social media is saying, don't listen to society and culture what they're saying, don't listen to certain areas of government departments. Listen to what God is saying and we might say to ourselves well, I can hear the world extremely loud. The world is loud, it is so strong and so powerful. I can't hear the voice of Jesus. How do we hear the voice of God? How do I hear this God when, right the way around me, through my perception, through sensual perception, through everything I see, touch, smell, my senses, everything that I have as a human being, is telling me that these microphones are here, this Bible's here, the watch is here, the electronic devices are here, the laptop's here, the wooden table's here, everything's here. Alex is here, the books are here, the Bible, the TV, everything is here. Because I see it and I perceive it, and because I see it, I believe it.
Speaker 1:But, lord, where are you? Where are you gone, lord? I'm hearing the noise of the world. I'm hearing the noise of life. I'm hearing the noise of the world. I'm hearing the noise of life. I'm hearing the noise of the worry, I'm hearing the noise of the stress. I'm hearing the noise of everything around me and, lord, I can't hear your voice. Do you ever get like that in your life, where you can't hear the voice and the world is so strong and the world is so powerful?
Speaker 1:Let me tell you where you hear the voice. It's called the Bible, and when I read the word, I read the word. The word becomes so loud and so powerful, but so gentle, but so strong. As I read the word of God, it becomes alive. As I read the word of God, it becomes living water. As I read this good book, it sets the captives free. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.
Speaker 1:The Gospel of John, chapter 14, verse 6. I am the way, the truth and the life. You know, he is the way, he is the gatekeeper, he holds the keys to death and to life. He is the great I am, but he says I'm not just the way, I'm the truth. You know, are you tired of social media lies? Are you tired of media lies? Are you tired of world lies? Are you tired of people around you? You know, doing this and doing that, saying this and saying that, and nothing materializes. It's all sound, it's all noise, it's all rattle. It's so strong, it's so powerful.
Speaker 1:Jesus Christ says I am the way, the truth and the life.
Speaker 1:He is the truth.
Speaker 1:You will know the truth. What is the truth? The truth is from Genesis to the Revelation. The truth will set you free. I am the way, the truth and the life. He says there's no other life form, there's no other life on this earth. You will only get life when you're in me. Life is in Christ, power is in Christ.
Speaker 1:But where do I find this Jesus in a world that is so loud? Where do I find this Jesus when society and culture is pushing me? Where do I find this Jesus when work is loud, the children are loud, relationships loud. Lord, where do I find this Jesus? Everything is so loud around me and, lord, I'm struggling to hear your voice. Is there anyone bold enough to say sometimes I hear the world so strong and I struggle to hear the voice of Jesus.
Speaker 1:We have to be careful of that text where the Bible says and Christ says my brothers and my children and those that follow me and those that walk with me, the sheep know the voice of the shepherd. You know, we know the voice of the shepherd. But sometimes, and so often, the world can get so loud. The world can get so loud, not that it is more powerful than Jesus, not because it drowns him out. It's just that we get drawn in. We get drawn. It's like a vacuum. The world just seems to draw us into this place. Every day we're being drawn in through materialism. Every day we're being drawn in through finances. Every day we're being drawn in through a different way.
Speaker 1:But Jesus says I am the way. We want to encourage you tonight to never give up, never give up reading the word of god, never give up praying, never give up believing, even when it's tiring, even when you're exhausted. Jesus says I am the way. I am the way. Jesus says call to me, call to me and I will answer. You know, god is calling you tonight, wherever you are. Maybe you've been on these live streams with us for a long time, maybe you're new tonight. Wherever you are across this, you've been on these live streams with us for a long time. Maybe you're new tonight. Wherever you are across this world, we want to encourage you right now, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, that the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost, is with you and Jesus has your life. He's a way maker. He is a way maker and we want to tell you now that he's making a way. But there seems to be no way. What is impossible with man is possible with god. What is impossible with man is possible with god.
Speaker 1:Let's go to the old testament. You know I've been rambling tonight. You know so much going on in my head at this moment in time, so much I want to get out. But I want to take us to the book of Isaiah. I want to go to Isaiah, chapter 43. Will you come with me to Isaiah 43? You know, as we go to Isaiah 43, and I want to go to verse 16. He's calling you, he's telling you tonight. He's a way maker. He's calling you, he's telling you tonight. He's a way maker, that beautiful song way maker. He's making a way in the desert. But let's have a look, let's have a quick look as you look at these scriptures, as we're in the book of isaiah and we're in 43 and I want you to turn, if you can, to chapter 43. Sorry, I'm verse 16.
Speaker 1:This is what the lord says he who makes a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, god is making a way in your life. The book of isaiah, the prophet isaiah, verse 16 of chapter 43. This is what god says through the prophet. God is making a way through the sea, through the impossibilities. God is making a way through financial difficulties. God is making a way through the sea, through the impossibilities. God is making a way through financial difficulties. God is making a way through health. God is making a way through areas of your life. God is making a way right now. He's making a way on you. Right now, god is opening doors. God is a way maker. And as you look at these scriptures, we're in Isaiah 43, verse 16. It says this is what the Lord says, he who made a way through the sea. We serve a God of the possibles. The devil tells us it's impossible. God tells us all things are possible.
Speaker 1:To those who believe, the devil will try to convince us that we're never going to change. We'll never see change. It's getting worse. There's the lack of who do you think you are? What right do you have? Do you believe in your god? Because the devil will tell you through visualization, through life, through social media, through tv, through people in your life, through social media, through TV, through people in your life, that we're never going to change, you've got to stay the same. Do I want to stay the same or do I want to see miracles? Do you want to see the dead being raised, the blind seeing, the deaf hearing and the lame walking? Lord, I want to see miracles. He says.
Speaker 1:I'm a way maker, and that's what Isaiah writes in 43, verse 16. This is what the Lord says. He who made a way in the sea, he will make a way in the sea, the sea that he put there in the first place. Every droplet of water dances to the voice of God. Every droplet of rain moves when God says let rain fall. The oceans are moving only because he commands them. So, as the Israelites were waiting at a miracle, they was waiting for the Red Sea to part Pharaoh was chasing them down. Do you feel that you are being chased down by pharaoh? Do you feel that you're being chased down on every level of life? God says and he used the voice of isaiah in 43, 16 this is what the Lord says. He who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, he is making a way through the waters of life. He is making a way through the desert. He will open up any river, any valley. He will move any mountain.
Speaker 1:But what is required is for me just to believe, because Jesus says just believe. That's all I've got to do, is believe God. I believe that you're supplying all my needs according to thy riches in glory. I believe that you are the way We've been in the Gospel of John. We've been in the Gospel of John. We've been in the gospel of John, chapter 14, verse six.
Speaker 1:Jesus says I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. There's access. Do you realize you've got access to the father? Do you realize you've got access to the God of Israel? Do you realize that there's access to God Almighty through Jesus Christ?
Speaker 1:Maybe you're new tonight joining this podcast. Maybe you think that you just stumbled on Alex and myself. Maybe you're just perusing through the social networks. You just found us through RB, christian Radio. It's not a coincidence, it's a god move, because god is drawing you. He's not drawing you to us, he's not drawing you to this church, he's not drawing you to the social medias that we're on. He's drawing you and he's using us and the power of of broadcast. He's using that to get your attention.
Speaker 1:And God is speaking to you tonight and he's telling you right now, wherever you are on the other side of the camera, on the other side of these mics, god is telling you do not worry, ben, do not worry. But, lord, can you help me? Ben, do not worry, because I am the way. Ben do not worry. But, god, what do I do? I can't see you.
Speaker 1:Lord, you're this invisible God, this triune Godhead that sits outside of light. Lord, you are quicker and faster than light. You sit in an unapproachable light. Lord, you are faster than anything in the world. Lord, you are moving. You are omnipresent, omnipotent. Lord, you are everywhere. And, lord, all I have is my perception, and my perception and my humanity tells me that. Lord, where are you? Lord, the mics are here, the clock is here, the TV's here, the camera is here, the phone is here, the book is here, the wine and the bread is here, the watch is here, the water is on the table, the candles, everything is here, the coats are here, the door is there. Lord, are you tired of living by perception, by your natural way? Are you tired of living life on the back foot? Are you tired of living on adrenaline? Are you tired of living on adrenaline. Are you tired of living in history?
Speaker 1:Jesus says I am the way, the truth and the life. He gives us three key areas to freedom. I am the way number one. I am the truth and the life. When you realize who your God is, when you realize that the king that you serve is greater than any other king, when you realize that there is power in the name and you carry a name that is so powerful, that is so rich with beauty and majesty, you carry a name and that name is Jesus. Not only are you a name carrier of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you carry the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is in your life. The Holy Spirit is woven into the skin that you walk in. The Holy Spirit is in your dna. Not only have you got jesus christ as your lord and savior, not only have you got the comforter, the holy spirit, but with that you've got the father, you've got god, the god of israel, that god that we think that he's so often is very, very silent. That god that sits in an unapproachable light, that god that seems impossible to touch tangibly. Because we serve a god that doesn't go by emotions. We serve a god that says trust me, because emotions are built on the facts that we are human beings. Emotions are built into this earth suit, into the skin that we walk in. Emotions are part of this makeup of humanity. That's what it is. But I want to tell you tonight you are free in the name of Jesus, because who the Son sets free is free indeed. But I want to tell you tonight you are free in the name of Jesus, because who the Son sets free is free indeed. Jesus says I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And the book of Isaiah that we've been in, isaiah 43, tells us, verse 16, this is what the Lord says. This is what the Lord says he who made a path through the sea, he who made a way through the sea, he who made a way, a pathway for you.
Speaker 1:So often we don't realize that God makes paths and we don't realize we're on the god path, because so often on a god path it is trepidation. On a god path it is stormy. On a god path, so often it's not what we think it is, because often we think that a God path will be smooth and people will be loving us and feeding us grapes and wine and taking care of us. But let me tell you this it wasn't the disciples that took Jesus to the cross, it wasn't his friends, it was his enemies. It was his enemies. So often, so very often, our enemies are the stepping stone to victory. So often, the area of danger is the stepping stone to freedom. So often, the area of unfamiliar life is the stepping stone to walk by faith.
Speaker 1:Because jesus's friends didn't take him to the cross. It was the darkness, it was the surroundings, the bleakness. Do you know what? There is so much power, so much authority that is released onto a human being when that person is in trouble and in fear. Angels are put to flight. You know Jesus when you look at Jesus' friends. Where were Jesus' friends at the most critical time of his life? They disowned him. Where was Jesus' friends at the most brutal time of his life? You got that brother that said I will die for you. You got the disciple that said I will die for you, I will go to prison for you, I will go to prison for you, I'm going to give my life to you, jesus.
Speaker 1:And when the rooster crowed, he denied him. Let me tell you this. We don't realize that the rooster crows more times in our lives. And what happens when the rooster crows? Our friends deny us. Because when the rooster crows, our friends deny us. Because when the rooster crows, it is the trumpet sound. It is the trumpet sound of change and it is the trumpet sound of the friends that you got on social media. It is the trumpet sound on social media that people will scarper and leave you.
Speaker 1:When the rooster crowed, where was Jesus' friends? Where was Jesus' friends when he was standing in the courtyard, flat, standing flat against that rock, leaning against that rock, where he was so tired? Where was his friends when he was literally just holding it together, when he was getting a whipping, when his back was torn to people, they was at a considerable distance. Let me tell you this there are many people in your life that will only show up when miracles are happening. When you look at the miracles of Jesus, he had his disciples when the miracles were breaking out, but when the whip came out and the rooster crowed, he was denied.
Speaker 1:I don't know that fellow, I don't know that Jesus. I don't know that Jesus. Who is this Jesus? Be careful who you sit around the fire bin. You got friends on social media? Of course you have. You got followers on social media, but when the whip comes out and the money's run out and you're left standing in such a mess, you will hear the voice.
Speaker 1:I don't know him, no, but when miracles are happening, when the wine is being produced through the miracle work of christ, when the wine is flowing, when the wine is being produced through the miracle work of Christ, when the wine is flowing, when the wine is flowing and Jesus' mum said Jesus, do that miracle. It's very interesting that everyone knew Jesus and everyone was around Jesus and everyone was around you and everyone knew you. When the wine was flowing and everything was brimming over and it was that party atmosphere of life. But when the whip came out, silence. All you could hear across the courtyard. All you could hear across the courtyard was I don't know him, but Jesus says I am the way. Jesus says even though you've denied me, peter, I am still the way that you will come and when you come back, build my church.
Speaker 1:When you come back, let me tell you this loud and clear you might have a lot of people on your socializing networks, on your WhatsApp groups, on your church groups, on your prayer groups, on your WhatsApp groups, on your church groups, on your prayer groups, on your men's groups, your ladies groups, your cats, cats, dogs, everything you know, all that sort of stuff. You might have, all you might be in all the groups under the sun. But let me tell you this just because you got many people looking at you on social media, just because you got them people, just because you got family on the other side sending you a heart, sometimes, just because you got work colleagues here, yeah, yeah, yeah, following, we're following, we're following. When the whip comes out, you'll be surprised how quiet it goes, like this studio, when the whip comes out. But Jesus says I won't leave you nor forsake you, ben. When the whip comes out, but jesus says I won't leave you nor forsake you, ben, when, when the whip comes out against you, your facebook friends, the twitter friends, the tiktok followers, when the whip comes out, your family will leave you, your friends will leave you, your work colleagues will leave you.
Speaker 1:When the whip comes out, you'll hear the voice on the other side of the fire bin that says to the servant girl I don't know what you're talking about, I don't know, ben, but Jesus says I am the way and Jesus is telling you tonight. Jesus is telling you don't trust anyone else in certain circles. Check who is for you. Where are your friends in times of troubles? Where is the church in times of trouble? Where is the church when you put the cry out across the social media?
Speaker 1:There is only one that will stand with you and his name is jesus. Because he says I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life. Then he says this ben, I am your way. He says ben, I am your truth. Then also he says ben, I am your life. Brother and sister, we're coming to the table in just a few minutes, just a one minute, about one minute or just so we're going to break bread. I want to encourage you tonight to keep in the gospel of john, chapter 14, verse 6, jesus says I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life, I am that I am. And in the book of isaiah, as we come to the table, god says, through the prophet, the voice of the prophet, isaiah 43 this is what the lord says, he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.
Speaker 1:Ask your social media crowd will they be with you when you go through the waters? Will they be with you when you go through the fiery furnace, the plasticness, the plasticness of social media friends, they will melt because it's plastic. Be careful of plastic. You might be going through the fire and you're on your own. You might be struggling financially, but you know you're on your own. You might be struggling with the children, with life, with everything that's going on, and you're on your own, but everyone else on social media is living the dream. But I'm going through the valley. Let me tell you it's better to go through the valley of the shadow of death. It's better to go through the valley of Baccar. It's better to go through the trials and the tribulations because he's with you.
Speaker 1:God is calling you, he's calling you. Maybe God is calling you to ministry. Is God calling you to ministry tonight? Is God calling you to a prayer group? Is God calling you to a missionary? Is God calling you to a chaplaincy? Maybe in your life Is God calling you to be a leader? Is God calling you? Is God calling you to salvation? Because that's the first call. We're at the table Right now. We are going to break bread and we're going to listen to this prayer. We're going to take time out and I pray, as we listen to this prayer, that the Holy Spirit will move right within the skin that you walk in.
Speaker 4:I invite you to say the Lord's Prayer with me, our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, bread, and forgive us of our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, hallelujah, let's break bread, father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you that Christ went to the cross of Calvary. And Lord, as we stand, lord, on the brink of a new second, a new moment in life, father, we thank you that, as we break bread together right now, lord, we understand that this bread symbolizes the body of Christ. Bless this bread as we break it In Jesus' name. Amen. As you listen to us on radio, right now, god is with you in your life. As you listen on the social networks, god is in your life. As you listen in the world of podcasts, god is in your life and God is leading you, and God wants to reveal so much to you and he loves you. You are not alone, but there is change coming in your life. Don't be frightened of change. Don't be frightened of the change, Because change is connected to faith, because faith is different to living a parochial, robotic life. Are you tired of living a tiny little glimmer of life? Be braggadocious, be radical for Jesus. Believe. Believe. Let's take this cup. Father, as we take this cup now, will you cleanse us from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet, lord, will you move in our lives, refresh us and restore us. Lord, we thank you for change. We believe that change is upon us, but right now, lord, will you wash us in the blood of Jesus? But right now, lord, will you wash us in the blood of Jesus, cover us in the crimson tide that was shed at Calvary. Father, thank you that I was a sinner, but now, lord, you've washed us and cleansed us from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet. In Jesus' name, amen, the Holy Spirit is with you.
Speaker 1:Alex is going to lead us in a prayer in just a moment, but I want to emphasize right now. The devil is under your feet and God uses the areas of darkness for stepping stones for victory. Remind yourself that it wasn't his friends that got victory through the cross, taking Jesus to the cross. It was the enemy. So, if you are surrounded by your enemy and people you are struggling with, get ready for victory. Be careful of people in your life. Be careful of people in your circles of life. Be careful of those whatsapp groups you're in. Be careful of those churchy, religious groups that you're in. Be careful of those that say that they're your friend and then suddenly, when your back is against the wall. They're on the other side of the world. Alex, have you got that prayer?
Speaker 2:Yes, I have. Tonight's prayer is all about loved ones. Heavenly Father, tonight we bring you our heart. Tonight's prayer is all about loved ones. Heavy father, tonight we bring you our heart, heavily with our ache of missing loved ones. Some are with you in glory, others than far from reach, but their memories still live in us, comfort us in our sorrow, fill the quiet spaces with your peace, remind us that you're near, even when those who love fear feel far. Thank you for the time we share and help us, hold us and guide us with every trust and our reunions to everyone else. Be our strength tonight, lord, in Jesus' name, amen.
Speaker 1:Amen, father, we thank you, lord, for the power in the name of Jesus. Lord, and as Alex was praying, lord, I just pray, lord, that everyone hears that prayer. Lord, and all those that are going through bereavement, all those that are going through loss in their life, all those, father, that need a miracle, lord, that they will receive a miracle in the name of Jesus. So, father, wherever we are across the world, as we come before you, father, we pray that you will make a way so clear, so clear tonight. Lord, thank you Jesus, thank you, holy Spirit. Are you in trouble? Are you in fear? Are you in doubt? Are you in fear? Are you in doubt? Do you feel uncertain tonight? Are you unsure about life itself? The presence of God is with you. The Holy Spirit is leading you. God loves you, as he says in the Gospel of John. You know, as we was in chapter 14, sorry, verse 6,. He says I am the way. Jesus says, I am the way, the truth and the life. He is with you wherever you are, whatever you're going through, whatever pain, whatever worry, whatever doubt. Uncertain territory is a great place to be. When it's familiar territory, we get too relaxed and we get actually uncomfortable when we're in the desert, when we're in the wasteland of life, when we're in them, then, places of uncertain days, uncharted waters, as we sail across the the sea of life and we're unsure of the storm of life. God is in the storm, with us, god is carrying you through the storm. God is a way maker. He opens doors, he walks through walls, he reveals himself to the Thomases of life that are filled and riddled with doubt and fearful. It's really, really important. Wherever you are right now, I pray that the Holy Spirit, I pray that the Holy Spirit will lead you. I pray that the Holy Spirit will carry you, that the fire of God will just lift you. Tonight, spirit will carry you, that the fire of god will just lift you tonight and you will feel the love of jesus in your heart and we will stop living by the natural way of life, through the flesh, way through the perception, way through the emotional way, and we will live by faith and we will say, jesus, you are a way maker. And tonight, lord, I thank you, jesus, I thank you, holy spirit, that you are making a way in the desert. I thank you, lord, as I hear the sound of the chariots and the horses coming across the desert as I hear pharaoh marching forward, lord, as I look at the red sea and I'm too scared to turn around because I hear the sound. I hear the sound of pharaoh, but as I look across the red sea and I can't see the other side of the shore, do you feel like that tonight, that you're looking onto the ocean and the ocean and the lake of life seems so deep and so vast and so wide. Do you feel that it's impossible to cross? God has got you in a holding place. It feels like you're hemmed in. No amount of money is going to sort this one out. No amount of education is going to sort this one out. No church can sort this one out.
Speaker 1:Pastors back out, the worship team go home, the prayer team go back to McDonald's. The church shuts down, the friends disappear off Facebook and suddenly I'm standing in front of the Red Sea again. Suddenly I'm in front of the Red Sea. Suddenly I'm in front of the Red Sea. Do you hear the sound of chariots? Do you hear the sound of horses, hoofs chasing you down? Do you hear the sound of trouble?
Speaker 1:Are you trapped tonight? Because if you are trapped, you're not really trapped, because God is setting up the enemy. God is setting the enemy up to foul, because you can't foul because you have the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. So when you look at that great story of Moses leading them out into the desert, from the desert right into that place where the Bible says they was hemmed in, that the Red Sea was just breathing down at them, the Red Sea was impossible. The Red Sea of life have you got the Red Sea of life in front of you in ministry, in church? And the enemy is approaching. And as you look at the enemy, it's so vast, it's so wide. All you can see in the sunlit, the sun shining down on the enemy, is everything that is glittering. The horses are coming, the chariots are coming, the wheels are moving forward and I'm trapped, I'm hemmed in. It's a great place to be, to be hemmed in. There's nothing like to be hemmed in, because when you're hemmed in, god is not setting you up for failure, god is setting you up for victory. Because when God sets us into a place, what happens? The enemy thinks that they're going to devour us. Because this is what happens.
Speaker 1:The enemy comes along and the enemy thinks there is no way for us to go. The enemy tells us it's impossible. The sea is too great, the storm is too big. Where is God now? Have you ever heard them voices? Where is your God?
Speaker 1:As Pharaoh was coming across the desert, as Pharaoh was coming fast for the children of God, the enemy approaches. You can feel the enemy right next to you and you can feel this time coming and God says just wait. God says just wait. God says just wait, Just wait, wait for God. Don't worry, don't look at the size of the enemy, because God is about to part the sea, because remember the scripture that we started in this evening and we're going to bring this to a close in just a few moments. Just remember this scripture John 14, verse 6.
Speaker 1:I am the way, the truth and the life. There's nothing more finer than being hemmed in and nowhere to go and waiting on a miracle. The enemy looks like it's going to wipe us down. It looks like the enemy is going to take us out any second, any moment. It looks like the sickness is going to put us in the grave. It looks like the bank is going to take it back. It's looking like my job is finished. It is looking like I've lost everything. It is looking like I am hemmed in and I've got nowhere to go. That's a great place, because God has not set you up. God has getting you ready. God has set the enemy up for failure. We're out of here. God bless you wherever you are. Thank you for joining us. I'll be Christian radio. We've cut this quick.
