The Watchmen Hour - (#1042 - Elim)
Standing before the massive, impenetrable walls of Jericho, Joshua faced an impossible situation—a city locked down behind towering fortifications. But God spoke something radically different: “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands.” Not I will deliver, but I have delivered—a promise already fulfilled in the spiritual realm.
In this powerful episode of the Unshakable podcast, Pastor Ben Cooper draws a direct connection between Jericho’s walls and the obstacles we face today. Whether it’s financial hardship, a health crisis, relationship tension, or emotional warfare, we all have our personal “Jerichos.” And like ancient Israel, we often stand staring at the problem, unsure how anything could ever change.
But faith sees what the eyes cannot. As Hebrews 11:1 declares, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” This isn’t passive belief—it’s active trust. The Israelites marched in obedience for six days with no signs of progress. Faith required them to walk in silence, trust in the process, and keep going when nothing made sense.
What walls are you marching around today? Maybe your Jericho is a failing business, a strained marriage, a diagnosis you didn’t expect, or a battle with anxiety. Pastor Ben reminds us that the God who promises victory has already gone ahead of you.
You’ll learn:
- Why God declares victory before we see it
- How to walk in faith when nothing is changing
- The power of obedience over outcomes
- How spiritual breakthrough often looks like silence first
- What it means to keep walking by faith, not by sight
Faith contradicts our culture. It doesn’t rely on instant results, popularity, or self-reliance. It’s rooted in obedience—doing what God says, even when the logic isn’t clear. “Just keep walking” becomes your spiritual strategy when nothing else works. And that seventh-day miracle? It’s reserved for those who don’t quit.
This episode is for anyone who’s on the verge of giving up. If the walls seem too high, the prayers too quiet, or the waiting too long—listen closely. Your breakthrough may be one day of obedience away.
📖 Whether you’re tuning in from the U.S., South Africa, the U.K., Nigeria, or Australia, this is a word for every believer longing to see God move in their impossible situations. Don’t give up before your seventh lap.

Speaker 2:Thank you so much for joining us these early hours of the morning or the evening. Uh, wherever you are across the world, we welcome. May God bless you and strengthen you.
Speaker 2:Yes, it is an unusual hour, but we are just wanting to get into the Word of God. We're going to break bread, we're going to take some time, we're going to read the Scriptures, we're going to pray, we're going to ask God that he will lead us in new beginnings and new paths. So, wherever you are across the world, we thank you for joining us at this unusual hour. The UK time is 2302 and 52 seconds here in the UK, but wherever you are across the world, we welcome you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let's get straight into the Word of God. We're going to go into the book of Joshua, joshua chapter six, and we're going to pick it up just in a few verses and then we're going to go into the New Testament. We're going to flick into the New Testament, we're going to go to Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 1. But wherever you are across the world, may God bless you and strengthen you in the mighty name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 2:Now, joshua is a very interesting book. Joshua is a book of transforming lives. You know, god transforms lives before we could ever imagine or ask, and it is by faith. You know that the scriptures are true and the scriptures are on point that the bible says that the just shall live by faith. It's critical that each and every one of us, we learn to live by faith. Now, that can be a real difficult thing to do in life. You know to live by faith because we live by perception. We live by what we perceive, what we see, what we hear. But the bible is extremely clear that the just shall live by faith. So, wherever you are at this hour, we pray that the love of god will stir you to live by faith, to trust him. For for monetary situations, for fear, for doubt, to go, all that sort of stuff, we just, we just pray that, wherever you are at this moment in time, that the fire of god will sit over you and around you and within you.
Speaker 2:But let's get straight in the scriptures. You know, the book of joshua is a powerful book, it's a practical book, it's a book that is about, uh, being a warrior and standing on the rock of all ages and never giving up. You know, and if you want to read a parallel, you read the book of ephesians. You know, read Ephesians and the book of Joshua together and you've got some holy dynamite there for sure. That's a given there. But let's get straight in. I'm going to read without further ado.
Speaker 2:We're in Joshua, chapter 6, from verse 1, and it says Now, jericho was tightly shut up. Because what does it say there? Now, jericho was tightly shut up because of the Israelites. No one went in and no one came out. The Lord said to Joshua See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with the kings and all the fighting men.
Speaker 2:March around the city once, with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Make seven priests. Carry the trumpets of the ram's horn in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing on the trumpets. And it says when you hear the sound of a long blast on the trumpets, make all the people give a loud shout and the wall of the city will collapse and all the people will go out, every man, straight in.
Speaker 2:Let's just pray, father, in the name of Jesus, wherever we are in the world, we pray that you will give us faith to keep walking around the Jerichos of life. We pray that you will give us faith to keep walking at the name of Jesus and no matter what is in our lives, that we will keep walking, lord, that we will keep steadfast in the word, that we won't give up, that we won't surrender, but, lord, we will be obedient to the words. So, father, we will be obedient to the words. So, father, we pray that you'll stretch out tonight and the love of God will come down over each and every one of us. But just like Jericho was tightly closed, father, we pray that you will make a way, where there seems to be no way, that your love and your power, your mercy and your goodness will just be with us. Lord, wherever we are across the world, whatever our time zone is, whatever the situations are before us in our lives, that we will feel your presence, your love, your mercy, lord, and we just ask you, father, that you help us to be obedient to your calling, that we will be obedient to your word, that we will never give up, doesn't matter how high Jericho looks, doesn't matter how wide Jericho is, but, lord, that we will just keep walking, that we will be obedient, lord, to the call and not take any notice or any visualization of the size of Jericho, the height of the wall, the width of the wall, the depth of the wall, but, father, that we will be focused on Jesus Christ, that we will know that our Redeemer lives and because he lives, we can face tomorrow. Come, holy Spirit, will you pour out your goodness over each and every one of us tonight, in Jesus' name, amen, and whatever your time zone is, we welcome you across the world, on radio, this evening or in the morning, the early hours, wherever you are at this moment, may God just strengthen you and guide you. If you are worried tonight, we would encourage you to come to the Cross of Calvary with us. If you're worried about money, if you're worried about debt, you're worried about money. If you're worried about debt, you're worried about life. You're worried about relationships, children, schooling, education, whatever it may be. We want to encourage you to be steadfast in the faithful walk in the scriptures of jesus christ.
Speaker 2:Now the bible says in in joshua, chapter 6, verse 1 now jericho was tightly shut up because of the israelites. When we find out and we know who the Israelites are and what the Israelites represented, the Israelites, the children of the living God, when you look at these scriptures the Israelites you know it is like us today. You know God is looking down on you, god is leading you, god is nurturing you and God is with you, just as he was with the Israelites. God is with you wherever you are. Now the scripture says in verse 1, now Jericho was tightly shut up because of the Israelites. Now, god always makes a way in the face of adversity. God always makes a way in an area of our life where we seem that there is an impossibility. It is impossible for us to get around this city. It is impossible for these walls to come tumbling down. But when you are obedient to the word of God, it's not the strength of myself or yourself to see the walls coming down, it is the power of God's word and it is the obedience of the believer that just keeps walking.
Speaker 2:So when you look at these scriptures, it says now, jericho was tightly shut up because of the israelites, because of the israelites were being obedient for for many times, for many years in their lives. The good old israelites were uh, very, uh clever and uh, very, uh proud of disobeying god in many, many areas of their lives. They would be very rebellious in certain times of their lives. It sounds a be very rebellious in certain times of their lives. It sounds a bit familiar, doesn't it? In unbelief being disbelief, you know, wasn't listening to what God was saying. God chastised them, god brought them to task in many areas of life and we can relate to that pretty well. But I want to let you know tonight, just keep walking.
Speaker 2:And the scripture says that no one came in and no one went out, so it was in lockdown, it was tightly locked down. Jericho was locked down. No one was coming in and no one was going out and the walls were high. If you can think about the size of Jericho, if you can think how it was and if you can just grapple your mind at the moment and think the power of obedience because this is what this scripture is about it's not think the power of obedience, because this is what this scripture is about. It's not about the power of the Israelites, it's about the power of God. And when someone becomes obedient to the word and someone that is steadfast in the word, and when someone takes hold of God's word and says I'm going to keep walking, no matter what, I'm just going to keep being obedient to the scripture. I'm just going to keep being obedient to the scripture, I'm just going to listen to God, I'm going to trust God, I'm going to walk in faith. I'm going to walk around this Jericho. It's too high for me to climb, it's too wide for me to stretch around it, but I'm just going to keep walking and I'm going to trust God that by one brick, one block, one stone at a time, by myself being obedient to the word of God.
Speaker 2:Because every one of us has Jerichos in our lives, and this city was enormous, this city was fortified and it was impossible for humanity to get in. It was impossible for man to see any change in the area of this Jericho. The only way that this was going to happen was a complete and absolute miracle from God. Maybe you need an absolute and complete miracle from God. Maybe you're in a situation, maybe something is breaking out in your life, maybe things that are happening around you, maybe things that are going on and you're not quite sure. You're unsettled in areas of your life, you're worried, you're fearful, you're doubtful and all you're looking at is Jericho. Jericho looks large. Jericho looks impossible.
Speaker 2:Jericho is an impossible city to get into because it was in lockdown. There's no way on this earth that any human being was going to be able to climb the walls. You're never going to be able to dig under the foundations. You're never going to be able to pull the rocks out one by one. It was a miracle. Do you feel like that?
Speaker 2:You're in a situation in your life where this Jericho is so big, you know? Maybe it's mental health, maybe it's fear, maybe it's life itself, maybe it's work, children, areas of life. Maybe there's a lot of private stuff that's going on in your life that you're fearful of, that you're worried about. Maybe thinking isn't right. Maybe you're looking at life and it just feels like it's just an enormous Jericho and I can't do anything about it. It is impossible for me to see these walls collapse. Are there walls in your life? Are there walls that need to come tumbling down. It is the power of obedience tumbling down. It is the power of obedience, it is the power of the word of God. It is by faith. You know it is by faith.
Speaker 2:Let's go into the New Testament a moment. Let's accelerate. Let's go up to the good old book of Hebrews. If we go to Hebrews, chapter 11, if we go to Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 1, and it says now faith. You know faith is so powerful.
Speaker 2:Faith. You know you don't need money, you need faith. You don't need any man or any woman in the world, you need faith. You don't need any protection, you need faith. It is by faith. When you look at the scriptures, you know the just shall live by faith. Every area of my life I need to live by faith. It is by faith, you know, when you look at this beautiful word of God tonight, when you just look at your scriptures before you and I would encourage you you know in these early hours, if you're on UK time, whether it is 23, 12,. You know 12 minutes past and it is ticking up to 13 minutes past 11 here in the UK and whatever your time zone is across the world, we want to encourage you to grab a Bible and open the Word of God up and trust the Word and live in the Word and just rest your life in the Word.
Speaker 2:Now, faith is extremely powerful. Faith will take you to places that you could never get to with money. Faith will take you to a place of peace. Faith will take you to a place of peace. Faith will take you to a place of joy. Faith will take you to a place of holiness. Faith will take you to a place where you see miracles after miracles, and it is important that we grasp that faith is very, very important in our walk with the lord jesus christ. Of course it is because the bible says that jesus has give us, he has deposited a, a faith seed, decide, you know, five, the size of a seed, of a, of a small seat there.
Speaker 2:But so you think about it. And what makes my faith grow? What allows this to grow? How does faith grow? What is it in my life that will make this to grow? How does faith grow? What is it in my life that will make this faith grow? Is it money? Is it hope? What is it that makes this seed of faith grow? Where is it and how can I grab hold of it. There's only one thing that makes faith grow and it is the word of God, because the Bible says faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of god. So the more I hear the word, the more I read the word, the more I trust in the word, the more I I analyze the word, more I unpack the word, the more I pray over the word, the more I I look at the scripture. It is now faith, if you are with me.
Speaker 2:In hebrews, chapter 11, it says Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. I love that scripture because it says Now faith. It is making us alert, it is keeping us sharp, it is keeping us on point. It says Now faith is being sure. I love the way that the Old Testament writer writes this so clear and so powerful Now faith is being yes, faith is sure. I have to be sure of faith. I have to make sure that I understand when I look at these scriptures. It says now faith is being sure of what I hope for. So there is a lot of things going on within this New Testament, writing scriptures within the Hebrew writer, hebrews 11, verse 1,.
Speaker 2:Now it tells us it is critical that it is now that I don't sit on a fence, that I don't leave it. I don't leave it till tomorrow. It is now. So when I pray, I've got to pray in faith. So if we use this as an example, father, I believe I'm healed right now in the name of Jesus.
Speaker 2:I cannot allow my circumstances that I see through the world of visualization, through my eyesight, through smell, touch, through every area of central perception. I cannot allow myself to carry me through this world. What I have to do is I have to go by faith, because the Bible says the just shall live by faith. When I live by faith, I'm living on the other side of the cross of calvary. And what do I mean by that? When I'm living by faith, I'm living in the trust and in the hope and in the certainty of the scripture. When I live in myself, I'm living in education. I'm living in notoriety, I'm living in my skill set. I'm living in my natural ability. I'm living in the pound note that's in my pocket. I'm living by the natural realm. But the bible says the just shall live by faith.
Speaker 2:So if we take healing. If there's any area of our lives where we need healing, we pray a prayer like this Father now. I believe it is right now I'm healed. It is right now I'm blessed. Lord, I thank you that I am walking right now in the name of Jesus. Now, as we speak these words, as we speak these words of hope, as we speak these words of faith, as we pray over our lives, our natural circumstances might not be in change at this moment in time. The environment around us might not be in change at the moment. The situation might still stay the same, and that is what happened to the Israelites.
Speaker 2:When you look at the Israelites, it was God. It says see that I have given you. See, it is God that has already given it, but it takes us to keep walking. How many days did they walk? For how long did they walk for? When you look at what the Israelites had to do, they was under complete obedience to what God told them to be. When I come under complete obedience to what God is saying through the living word of God, I will see an acceleration on the Jerichos. I will see an acceleration of everything falling. It is faith, and faith will be the hardest way that you will ever live.
Speaker 2:Because faith goes against government, faith goes against education, faith goes against business, faith goes against the, the money. Faith goes against absolutely everything of this world. Because when you live by faith, you live by jesus christ. When you live by jesus christ, you live by the word. When you live by the word, you find that you will not be kin to to what the world is doing. So when you live with christ, when you live in the word, when you find that you will not be kin to what the world is doing, so when you live with Christ, when you live in the word, when you live in the power of the scripture, you are living a very powerful and a very fundamental life as a Christian. When you live in the word of God, you don't live in culture. You don't live in society. You don't live in the skin that you was birthed in. You don't live in the culture that you come from. You don't live in the skin that you was birthed in. You don't live in the culture that you come from. You don't live in the postcode you, you, you find that you have been cut away, that you have been removed and you have been taken away because it is by faith.
Speaker 2:Faith, I believe I'm healed. It is by faith, I believe my mental health is well. It is by faith, I believe. Right now, lord, I'm walking in the name of jesus. It is by faith, I believe, father, I I'm walking in the name of Jesus. It is by faith, I believe, father, I see myself walking in the name of Jesus. I see myself healed, I see myself free at the name of Jesus, because this is what faith does. But the naturalized and this world, it will hold us down by the postcode, by the amount of money, by the education, by everything that goes along with life. But faith will take you to a place. Faith will take you outside of this natural realm and faith will take you into a place known as scripture.
Speaker 2:The Bible says faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of God. Do you want to grow in faith? Do you want to grow in the Word? Do you feel that there is a Jericho in your life? As we started out in these scriptures, we started out this evening in Joshua 6, verse 1, and we took it down to the end of verse 5. But let's just recap a moment. So we are bouncing between Joshua 6, and we are bouncing between Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 1. So when you look at Joshua, chapter 6, it says Now, jericho was tightly shut up because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in Verse 2.
Speaker 2:Let's see what verse 2 says in Joshua, chapter 6. The Lord said to Joshua so there is a clear conversation coming between God, our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. The King of kings, and the Lord of lords. The God of Israel says this, and what does he say? He says in verse 2, the Lord said to Joshua See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with the king and the fighting men.
Speaker 2:Now, what I find absolutely fascinating is that God has told Joshua, told the Israelites the city is in lockdown, it is not going to go nowhere. But it is my timing. It is my timing that we're going to work by. It is not by the timing of the church, it's not by the timing of pastor. It's not by the timing of the church, it's not by the timing of pastor, it's not by the timing of the worship leaders, it is not by the timing of any religious order. It is by my timing and this is what I require from you, joshua. I need you to relay this message back to the israelites.
Speaker 2:So, when you think about joshua, joshua was given a message, he was given a deposit of a message and he had to take that message to the Israelites, to the Levitical priesthood. There was clear instruction and Joshua had to give clear instruction. I find that we can draw a bit of a parallel with the church within the UK. You know, if the church leaders would deliver the message of the word of God without compromise, if the leaders within the church of this nation in which we live in the UK, if the leaders would deliver what God has given and if the leaders would preach the message without error, suddenly we would find that this nation would not be sitting in a spiritual crisis that it's in. See, if joshua did not deliver the correct message, it wouldn't have happened. See, there is a weight. There is a weight. There is a weight that sits upon leaders to make sure that the message has to get delivered without error, on time and clear and bold.
Speaker 2:Joshua had a criteria to follow I do, and leaders and pastors and preachers and theologians and evangelists, everyone that delivers a message, from a Bible study to a prayer meeting, whatever it is, there needs to be clear interpretation of the scripture. The scriptures are not interpreted by education, because education will take you down religion. Yes, there is a bit of an understanding in the way that I read the word and I look at the word and I pronounce the word, but it is not by education that reveals the word to me, because education is an academic exercise. The word of God is not an academic exercise, it is revelation. So if you want to find out what God is calling me and calling you to and what is going on, you know it's about asking God to reveal the scripture. You know, sometimes we might read the word, we might be tired, we might be exhausted. You know we might have even left the word. We haven't even had chance because the chaos way of life. We haven't had a chance to grab the word of God. But we want to encourage you, wherever you are across the world tonight, to come under clear instruction and I just want to let you know, just as Joshua was given clear instruction about how to deal with Jericho, you know we need pastors and leaders within the churches we are talking about across the platform myself as well. Well, that will deliver clear cut understanding, scriptures without error, without the interpretation of an educational understanding, but from revelation.
Speaker 2:See, if joshua didn't give and give that message exactly as god said, something would have gone wrong. It's really, really, really interesting to see what's happening across the world at this moment in time, especially in the world of the West and certain areas of a cultural church. There are some crazy things going on within what we call church. God is just saying to leaders right now across the world myself and many, many more, just deliver the message that I have given to you. Now we might say to ourselves now, where is the message? What is this message, God? The message is the word of God, with just delivering what God has said. So if you can imagine if Joshua had taken the message and he had taken it one degree out of context, if Joshua would have changed anything through that message, who would have had the effect of a bad and a misinterpretation of what God said to them? It would have been the Israelites. It would have been the Israelites and nothing would have happened. You know Jericho wouldn't have fallen. You know Jericho wouldn't have fallen. Nothing would have happened to Jericho if Joshua hadn't executed the correct understanding of what God told him to do. It has to be executed, it has to be delivered, just as God said.
Speaker 2:Now, when you think about the UK alone and the many thousands of churches, the many thousands of different denominations, what we need to do is we need to make sure that we read the Word of God and I want to encourage you, wherever you are across the world and in the UK tonight, whether you're on RB, christian Radio, whether you're in the world of podcasts, whether you're streaming with us at this moment in time on the social platforms I want to encourage you to pause at church at the moment. I want to encourage you, and just for you, to take time out and actually not go to church but to seek God, to seek the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, because church is very loud and very confusing. And what I need to do at this moment in time. We are living in end days. We are living and we are waiting for the second coming of Jesus Christ, and I need clear instruction and many churches, even here, wherever we go, we've got to make sure that the leaders are giving us clear instruction, but when you look at different denominations, the instructions that they are giving. Congregations are very different to each denomination, so this is really, really, really careful. We've got to be really careful here. Every church we go to, every church that we are in, the majority of the message is very, very different to the church down the road.
Speaker 2:This is why I say, brothers and sisters, wherever you are across the world, we want to make sure that you're getting the word of, we want to make sure that you're getting the word of God. It is critical that we get the word. The word is without error, the word is power. The word is life. The word is hope. The word is peace. The word is freedom. The word is healing. The word is everlasting. The Bible says you know, the grass fades, the flowers just get cut down, but the word of the Lord stands forever.
Speaker 2:I believe God is giving you clear instruction tonight. I believe God is giving you instruction and I believe God is calling you to a greater walk with him. I believe God is calling you to a depth that you've never gone to, or I've never gone to before. I believe God is calling you into a place that we've never been before. I believe God is trying to refresh us and trying to restore us, but I want to let you know tonight it is through clear and absolute instruction that we see healings, that we see miracles, that we see the power and the glory.
Speaker 2:It is by the power of the word of God that we see miracles falling down from heaven. It is not the greatness of the preacher, it is by the power of the word of God that we see miracles falling down from heaven. It is not the greatness of the preacher, it is not the greatness of the church, it is not the amount of people in the congregation, it doesn't matter how big the congregation is If there is not clear instruction. And what is the instruction? It is not pastor's interpretation, it is the word of God. If the word of God is coming to you right now, if the word of God is in your church where you go, thanks be to God. If you're in a church that they're preaching the word of God without error, without any swerving to the left and to the right, on every subject under the sun, you know, stay in that church. But if you are in a church where they are compromising the truth, brother and sister, it's time to leave the church and to go and sit in a field with a bible and actually seek god for yourself. The bible says seek ye first, the kingdom of god and his righteousness, and everything else shall be added unto thee Now.
Speaker 2:Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 1, says now, faith is being sure of what we hope for. Faith is being sure of what we hope for. I believe that there are many people in church. I believe there are many leaders. I believe there are many of us that have lost hope, you know, and what I mean is hope has nothing to do with salvation. It is because certain circumstances of life, certain areas of life, certain things through life have been so heavy our faith has taken such a battering. It is difficult to keep strong and to keep walking.
Speaker 2:But I want to encourage you tonight to keep walking around Jericho. Just keep being faithful to the Word of God, whatever it may be, just keep walking and don't give up. Don't allow yourself to look at the size of Jericho and allow the size of Jericho to dictate to you when you look up at the size of the problem. There is nothing in this world that is insurmountable. There is nothing in this world that is impossible for God. All things are possible to those who believe. If you need healing tonight. Believe like you've never believed. If you need a financial breakthrough, believe like you've never believed before. If God is calling you to ministry, to whatever it may be, believe, see yourself. This is what faith means Now.
Speaker 2:Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Now that can be a bit of a tongue-tied line. As you look at that, it says hope for and certain of what we do not see. You know, we've got to see beyond the mics. We've got to see beyond this Bible in front of my hands. We've got to see beyond the technology that we have. We've got to see beyond what we have in our natural gaze and our natural vision and our natural lens. We cannot allow ourselves to live anymore by what we see in front of us. We've got to see beyond what we can see in front of us and we've got to see ourselves in the promised land.
Speaker 2:You've got to see Jericho falling. You've got to see Goliath falling. You've got to see the Red Sea being parted. You've got to see the Jordan River being opened up to you. You've got to see the glory and the power. You've got to see yourself walking. You've got to see yourself rising on wings as of eagles. You've got to see yourself rising on wings as of eagles.
Speaker 2:You've got to see yourself living by faith. You've got to see yourself not being relying on financial gain. You've got to see yourself not being stuck in that job forever and a day. You've got to see yourself moving and growing through the word of God. You've got to see yourself living in the scripture. The Bible is so beautiful. The Bible is so real. And when you look at the scripture, bible is so beautiful. The bible is so real. And when you look at the scripture, it says the just shall live by faith.
Speaker 2:I honestly believe to live by faith is the greatest challenge any believer will have in their life. I actually believe to live by faith is the greatest calling anyone will have in their life. You know, know, it's not the amount of money, it doesn't matter the notoriety, it doesn't matter about the academic stretch we have, it doesn't matter about our work situation, it doesn't matter where we are birthed. If you have faith, the Bible says you know, faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the Word of God. So it runs parallel together. So Jericho will fall, jericho will drop, goliath will drop, everything will fall, the Red Sea will part, the River Jordan will open up. Miracles will come when I am steadfast in the Word of God, when I believe this word. Not only believe it, but I actually see. I might see right now this Jericho. It is so high, it is so wide, the foundations are so deep, the walls are so thick and I cannot see in my natural physicality how this can be done. If it can be done by thyself, it is not a move of God.
Speaker 2:If you are facing a Jericho excuse me, that is insurmountable. If you are facing a Goliath that is breathing murderous threats at you, if you are looking at situations, if you are looking at the torrent of the river Jordan and thinking how am I going to cross this? If you are hemmed in and Pharaoh is chasing you down with his finest chariots, if you are hemmed in like the Israelites was with Moses and they cried out why have you brought us up out into the desert? Was it to die? We would have been best staying under the hand of Pharaoh. Moses said get ready. I want to tell you, wherever you are tonight across the world, get ready If you are wanting, if you are hungry, if you are tenacious enough, if you are radical enough, if you are bold enough, if you are braggadocious enough, the word of God will destroy every Goliath.
Speaker 2:The word of God will tear down every Ashlapol. The word of God will smash every altar of Baal. The word of God will destroy everything in your pathway. If you hold on to the word of God, if you hold on to the healing scriptures, the prosperity scriptures, if you hold on to the word of truth and never give up, all things are possible to those who believe. I've got to believe that I'm free. I've got to believe I'm healed. I've got to believe that all things are possible. To those who believe I've got to see myself.
Speaker 2:You know, on the other side, within the walls of Jericho, when we have a look, let's just have a quick look, you know, because we're going to come to the table in about five or six minutes time. We'll be at the table. So we want to encourage you. Wherever you are on radio this evening, you know, in the early hours of this morning, whether you're capturing this podcast or you're watching this live stream church service, we want to get you ready, excuse me, to take bread and to take it a cup. In the name of jesus christ. We have about six minutes now, about five and a half minutes according to the clock there.
Speaker 2:I just want to take us back to the book of joshua, chapter six. And as we look at joshua chapter six, verse two, it says the lord said to joshua see, I have delivered jericho into your hands. Let me tell you, everything has already been delivered. Everything has been delivered in your hands. It's just the time of just keep walking. You got to keep walking around Jericho. You got to keep walking and you don't give up. Even when you're tired, even if you think your shoes are wearing out, even if your legs are about to give away, you keep walking and you keep walking and you never give up because God says keep going. God says keep going Even when you look at the wall of Jericho, even when you look at the wall of finance, you look at the wall of education, you look at the wall of insurmountable situations. Keep walking. We want to encourage you tonight to keep walking. And the Lord said to Joshua see, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with all its kings and the fighting men.
Speaker 2:March around the city once, with all the armed men. Do this for six days. It takes time, it takes time, it takes effort and I've got to keep moving. I can't sit in my lazy boy chair and say, lord, I've had enough. I've got to rise on the wings as of eagles. I've got to stand on the word of God. I've got to press in deep. I've got to give this word a final push, because it's not the word that's not going to foul me, it's me that is going to foul me. The word is yes and amen. I gotta keep walking. He says do this for six days. Make the priest carry the trumpets of the ram's horn in front of the ark on the seventh day mark around march, sorry, around the city seven times, with the priest blowing on the trumpets. When you hear a loud and long sound blasting on the trumpets, make all the people give a loud shout. Then the wall of the city will collapse and all the people will go in, everyone straight, in, brother and sister.
Speaker 2:As we come to the table, as we break bread, as we have this Passover time together, as we just break the bread, that's symbolic to the body of Christ, as we take of this cup, I want to the body of Christ, as we take of this cup, I want to tell you to keep marching, keep walking, keep believing. Look at Jericho and tell Jericho you're falling in the name of Jesus. Tell Goliath you're falling in the name of Jesus. Tell sickness you're falling at the name of Jesus. Tell poverty you're falling at the name of Jesus. Tell fear that you're falling in the name of Jesus. Tell every area of life you're falling at the name of Jesus. Tell fear that you're falling in the name of Jesus. Tell every area of life you're falling and my God is going to let this wall drop in the name of Jesus.
Speaker 2:And there was a sound. There was a sound on the ram's horn. There was a sound. There was a trumpet blast. You know we are waiting for the trumpet blast, the coming of the King. You know, the next time the world hears that sho, you, that shofar blown, is that going to be a great time when jesus christ comes out of the sky, out of the clouds, when he comes back and he comes to rapture and he comes to take each and every one of us. We want to encourage you tonight to keep walking because jesus is coming.
Speaker 2:The word of god is on time. God is about to move in your life like never before. But it says now faith. You know I've got to be careful as well, that I want to let anyone know that may be doubting or may be low in faith tonight. God sees your heart, god sees every area of your life, god sees every situation. He loves you. God is calling you and God is telling you Jericho is about to fall, jericho is about to collapse. I just want you to keep trusting, I just want you to keep reading, I just want you to keep walking and you never give up, because Jericho is already yours. You know, healing is already yours, joy is already yours, everything is already yours. God is moving in your life and I pray for such an outpouring of your spirit that the word of God will be so powerful and so strong in Jesus' name, that you will just realize that God is with you. You might have many Goliaths around you, you might have many rivers to cross, but God will make a way. Where it seems impossible, god will open up the floodgates of heaven. Are you ready for a blessing? Are you ready for a healing? Are you ready for the hand of God? Because, as we keep walking, what I find really interesting in that, as they kept walking around Jericho.
Speaker 2:There was no significant change for many days. You keep walking. You don't worry that the wall is just looking the same, day in, day out, hour after hour, moment after moment. Don't worry, don't allow the circumstances to take you to a place of fear. Don't allow what you see as in no change to affect you. You see that that suddenly, that God is going to do a sudden move because you are being I am obedient to the word of God. We're trusting the word. We're walking in the scriptures. It says in Psalm 119, 105, your word is a lamp unto my feet, a light for my path. We're at the table right now. We've just got a couple of seconds and as we come to the table in the name of Jesus, we invite you to say the Lord's prayer with us. Amen.
Speaker 3:I invite you to say the Lord's prayer with me, our Father who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us of our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Speaker 2:Amen, hallelujah, father. We come to you tonight, lord, in the greatest name in heaven and earth. We come to you tonight, lord, in the name of Jesus and Father. We pray for such an outpouring of your spirit. Lord, we believe, we believe in the power of the word, we believe that your word is true. So, lord, as we break bread together and we invite everyone, wherever they are across the world, tonight, lord, we invite them to break bread with us. We invite them, wherever they are, to come and to stand on the rock of ages. We invite you, we invite you as brothers, we invite you as sisters, we invite you as children of the living God. We invite you to come to the table with us at this moment in time and as we break bread this bread is symbolic to the body of Christ and as we just walk together, as we stand together, if you're in pain tonight, god is with you. If you're in doubt tonight, god is with you. If you're scared tonight, god is with you. I pray that fear will go. And as you break bread with myself and as we take the cup together, I just pray that you will feel the love of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and right now that, wherever you are, you will know that your Redeemer lives and because he lives, you can face tomorrow. Are you scared? Are you worried? Worried? Are you unsure of what lies ahead? Are you worried that the clock is ticking and you feel that time is running out? Never worry about time. Never worry about time, never worry about the circumstances. Just come to God and say, father, I have, and I see a large Jericho. And God says I see the Jericho, ben, I see the Goliaths, I know who they are, I know what they are, but I want you to trust me. I want you to trust me tonight, ben, because my life is in your hands. But, lord, have you seen the size of the Goliaths? Yes, trust me. But, lord, have you seen the size of the Jericho? Yes, trust me. But, lord, have you seen the size of the Jericho? Yes, trust me. But, lord, once I've got through Jericho, once these giants are slain, lord, then I've got across the river. Lord, have you seen the power of the river Jordan? Yes, trust me. But, lord, once I get across onto the plains of Jericho, lord, once I get into this area of newness, lord, have you seen the size of the jebusites? Have you seen the size of the gergesites? Have you seen the size of the enemy, the canaanites, lord. Have you seen what is against me? Yes, trust me.
Speaker 2:It is about trust. It is about trusting in God, and it doesn't matter how many times we go to church, it doesn't matter how great I think I am as a preacher, whatever, and all that old razzmatazz. It's about believing. It's about believing that the Word is changing circumstances. It is about believing that the power of the word of God is opening up that way, because he is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. So, father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for this bread tonight, because it symbolizes the body of Christ. And as I take this Father, thank you that I am forgiven, I am cleansed by the blood of Jesus and Lord, as I stand before you. Lord, let your glory come in Jesus name. Amen.
Speaker 2:The bread, the bread that is symbolic to the body of Christ.
Speaker 2:And then also, not only do we have the bread, but we have this cup of redemption.
Speaker 2:You know, the cup of redemption is power, the cup of redemption is hope, the cup of redemption is life changing.
Speaker 2:Do you realize? I'm speaking to myself, a rhetorical question. Do you realize that I am redeemed? Do you realize that you are redeemed that by this cup and not by the cup of the external cup that we hold? I'm referring to what is in the cup the blood of jesus. Do we realize that the blood of jesus has redeemed us? The power of the blood, the power of the, the crimson tide, the blood of jesus has washed us from the crown of our head to the very soul of our feet. So, lord, as we come to you now, father, we might be tired, we might be weary. Lord, we might be getting ready for work. Lord, we might be just falling into bed because we're exhausted. Lord, we might be cutting the grass, we might be out shopping, we might be doing whatever it may be. Listening to this, father, I pray that you will wash us in the blood of jesus and you will cleanse us from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet, that we will know that our Redeemer lives and because he lives, we can face tomorrow. Come, holy Spirit, bless this, bless this, dear God that is symbolic to the blood of Jesus. Cleanse me from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet in Jesus' name. Amen.
Speaker 2:There is power in the name of Jesus, and you carry a name that is greater than any name. There is a name that is within you. There is a name that is around you. There is a name that knows you. There is a name that is inside of you. There is a name, and the name is Jesus. Jehovah Jireh, jehovah Nissi, jehovah Shalom. There is a name that is stamped on your heart. There is a name that went to the cross of Calvary, and his name is Jesus. There is a name that rings out across the world. His name is Jesus.
Speaker 2:So, wherever you are tonight, call on the name of jesus. He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. So you might have jerichos, you might have goliaths, you might have rivers to cross, you might need the red sea to be parted, you might have many, many enemies around you, you might have things that seem insurmountable to the human eye. But let me tell you this when you just believe, just believe, just believe, get yourself in that position. We're coming to a close. You know. We've got about 13 minutes left of this service before we click out, and then we will have some worship. We'll have some country music for a fair bit of this evening. So we have 13 minutes. Alex is going to share something and then we will carry on.
Speaker 4:Let us pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for your goodness today, for bringing the bull band back and keeping things running as well. I'm grateful for the little wins and your constant care. Lord, I ask for healing tonight for all the pain that crossed all our friends and families, our brothers and our sisters. Please heal them and keep everyone all happy and guide them to to the lord in jesus name, amen amen.
Speaker 2:Thank you, jesus, hallelujah. So, wherever you are this evening, you know god is with you. We just got a few minutes left of this service and we pray that the fire of god will descend on you, that the joy of the lord shall be your strength, that the holy spirit will lead you in paths of righteousness. Let's just take these 13 minutes. You know we've got 13, 12 minutes. Let's just take. Joy of the Lord shall be your strength, that the Holy Spirit will lead you in paths of righteousness. Let's just take these 13 minutes. You know we've got 13, 12 minutes. Let's just take these moments of prayer. And just a bit of a recap where we was tonight. We've been in Joshua, chapter 6. We've been in Hebrews as well, and we want to encourage you tonight to believe in the Word of God, believe in the word, and to rest in the scripture, to take time out. So let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you that your word is fire, your word is hope, your word is life, your word is new beginnings, and we pray for those that need new beginnings tonight, lord, that they will feel the love of God, that they will feel healing, that the fire of the Holy Spirit, lord, will burn in their innermost being. We pray for those that don't feel very well. We pray, father, for those that don't feel too good within themselves, those that just feel a bit exhausted, those that feel run down, those that just feel really tired. Father, we pray that you will remove the tiredness. At the name of Jesus, we pray for bones tonight. We pray, lord, for those that have got aching bones, those that have got back aches. We pray for those, dear God, that have got nervous headaches. Lord, do simple things, lord. We pray, lord, for headaches to go, at the name of Jesus, cluster headaches. We pray for those that have got blood pressure issues. That they will be healed in the name of Jesus. Those that have got COPD. Those, lord, that are facing cancers and sicknesses and disease, those that have got bone-wasting disease, those that have got fear and mental health. Lord, lord, we pray for all the ailments. We pray for all the things that go on in our bodies. That we will be well in the name of Jesus. We pray, lord, for each and every one of us tonight, that the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit will be so strong. Lord come, will you restore us tonight. Will you refresh us tonight, will you lead us in paths of righteousness? Will you take us to the plains of Jericho, lord, where we can see the glory of God?
Speaker 2:I pray for those, father, that are being obedient to the word, that have said yes, this is the hour, this is the moment where I'm going to be steadfast to the scripture. This is the moment where I'm going to hold on to the word and it's going to be yes and amen. And I'm not going to swerve to the left, I'm not going to swerve to the right, but I'm going to stay in the word. I'm going to trust the word. I believe the word is going to set the captives free. I believe the word is going to make a way where there is no way. I believe that the scripture, lord, is opening doors. I believe that the power of God is over my house tonight. I believe the power of God is over my life tonight. I believe the power of God is with me when I travel, when I commute, when I live life. I believe that the power of God is moving.
Speaker 2:At the name of Jesus and Lord, we pray, we pray. That prayer, father, that beautiful prayer. What happened to Elijah, lord? Let it rain, father. Let it rain tonight. Jesus, father, will it rain over us, lord? We need the rain. We need the latter day rain. We need the rain of God. We need the rain of the Holy Spirit. We need the rain of the Word. Father, will you just saturate us with your presence? Will you just saturate us with your glory? Will you just saturate us, lord, with the goodness of God, spirit, of the living God? Will you stir us, lord, in a powerful way? Lord, we're blessed and highly favored. We're fearfully and wonderfully made and we believe in miracles. We believe in miracles.
Speaker 2:So, wherever you are tonight, across the other side of the world, we pray that you will feel the miracle power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you will feel the miracle power of the Word of God. And as you rest and as you commute, whatever your situation is tonight, I ask God for every one of us. Lord, will you bring peace? Do you need peace tonight? Do you need rest? Do you need you know? Do you need that rest in your spirit? Are you really agitated? Are you like sitting on a knife's edge? You're really fearful of the past, the present and the future? I pray tonight for complete peace. I pray that the reign of God, that that latter day reign, that that love and that mercy and the favor of God and the beauty of the Holy Spirit will just touch your hearts, that you will feel the presence of the eternal God.
Speaker 2:The God that said let there be light is with you tonight. The Christ, known as Jesus, that hung on the cross of Calvary, that said it is finished, he is with you tonight. The Holy Spirit that was poured out on the day of Pentecost, the same Holy Spirit that was hovering over the surface of the deep, is with you tonight. You have Father, son, holy Spirit, and the glory of God is raining down over you. But do you realize that you carry the Word of God, that the Word of God is in your spirit? The Word of God is in your mind. The Word of God is omnipresent. God is omnipotent. God is in all. God is outside of time. God is in time. God is time itself because God is in all things. He is the creator of heaven and earth and God created time. He created light, he created everything. God is on the other side of time and God is on the other side of light.
Speaker 2:The Bible says in the book of Isaiah, that God is stretching out the heavens like a scroll. Each and every moment. The heavens are expanding because of his glory. The world is moving because of the power of the spoken word, and you are healed in the name of Jesus. You are blessed in the name of Jesus and the God that's stretching out the heavens that no scientist, that no astrologer can get to, that no telescope can see.
Speaker 2:God is on the outside of the universe. He's on the outside of the world, he's within the world, he's on the outside of everything. He holds the world in the palm of his hand and God is with you and he says I knew you. I knew you before everything that I created. I knew you before all things. I created everything, but I brought you in and I brought you in and I will carry you out and wherever you are, are you struggling?
Speaker 2:Are? Are you struggling with sleep? Are you struggling with sleep? Is there areas of your life where you're not sleeping well, that that body clock of yours is just all over the place? We pray that you will get rest, that your sleep will be sweet, according to the psalmist. Your sleep will be sweet and you will know that there are angels around your life. Angels have been deployed because of you. Heaven is moving because of your circumstances. The word of god will never foul you. God will never foul you. Scripture will never foul you. The love of god will never foul you. Romans, chapter 8. There is nothing on this earth that can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. Nothing can separate you. The power of the Holy Spirit is with you. The love of God is around you, wherever you are across this world. If you are commuting right now, if you are trying to sleep right now, if you're working right now, whatever your time zone is, god is with you and the fire of god is burning in your innermost being.
Speaker 2:Let's pray, father, as we come to the close of this service, as we duck out in just a few moments. Father, I thank you that nothing is impossible for you and we thank you for the cross of calvary. We thank you for at the cross, everything was nailed at the cross and lord, even before the physical cross. We thank you that in that spiritual realm. We thank you that outside of the cross, but before the cross was even physically lived and moved and and driven forward. We thank you that even before all of that, it was already completed. It was already done before the creation of the world. So, father, we thank you that the cross is the visualization that jesus christ is the redeeming king and wherever human beings are this evening. Wherever the Bible-believing believers are, however, they're capturing this broadcast. Wherever they are across the world, I pray that the fire of God will burn in their innermost being, that the love of God will stir them, that they will be hungry to be braggadocious, that they will be hungry for God, that they're looking for a new beginning, that they're looking for hope, that they're looking for the word, and the word is stirring them.
Speaker 2:Brothers and sisters, we will click out extremely soon, as you can see on the back screen behind me. You know the radio will click in exactly at 12 midnight. You know the tracks will play, the country music will be there. You can relax wherever you are across the world. We thank you for joining us for the midnight watch tonight. May god bless you and carry you. But in these two minutes, in these two minutes before we click the last advert, we pray that God will just reveal himself to you, that the fire of God will rest over you, that the love of Jesus will lead you.
Speaker 2:Psalm 23. The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want he makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul. God is leading you and the power of the Holy Spirit is over you tonight.
Speaker 2:If you need a prayer, get Psalm 23. If you're worried and you're doubtful tonight, get in Psalm 91, the good old, faithful Psalms. You know, even Psalm 6, beautiful scriptures to read. You know. And if you're commuting at this moment, if you're listening to this podcast, if you're stuck in traffic, if you're commuting or whatever you may be doing, wherever you are, may the Holy Spirit and I know that the Holy Spirit is with you.
Speaker 2:And in the close of this service you know we've just got 55 seconds and I want to tell you, within the 50 seconds of this service, that you are a Bible-believing believer, that you are blood-washed, you are sanctified, you are a child of the living God and you are that. John 3, 3, where Jesus says to Nicodemus you must be born again. You are born again, you are saved, you are a child of the living God and God is with you. Psalm 23. The Lord is my shepherd. And also in the close of these moments, 20 seconds. May God carry you. God bless, we will see you soon. Wherever you are across this world, may the Holy Spirit lead you in paths of righteousness for his namesake.
