Scripture (NIV)

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” — Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV)

Show Notes

The early hours carry both silence and fear. Searches for “prayer for protection” and “Psalm 91 night prayer” surge daily as people seek safety for their families, homes, and hearts. This psalm is the anthem of divine security — the assurance that no darkness is stronger than God’s shadow.

From London to Lagos, Singapore to Vancouver, believers declare that safety is not found in walls or wealth but in worship. The shelter of the Most High is not a place but a Person. When you dwell in Him, peace becomes your covering, and fear loses its voice.

This morning we pray for God’s hand of protection over every nation, every child, every weary soul. Let faith rise higher than fear. Let His presence be your fortress through every unseen storm.

And Lord, as we are in Psalm 91, early morning prayer, Lord, for protection, safety, refuge from our God and our King. Father, we pray wherever we are scattered across this world, whatever we are doing today, we believe in Psalm 91, verses 1 through to 2. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. Lord, we trust you. Lord, it's really difficult down here. Lord, I know you're upstairs and I know you're omnipresent. I know you're everywhere, but Lord, it's getting tough there on this earth, Lord, and I need help today. Lord, we need to rest under the shadow of the Almighty. Lord, I believe the listeners and myself, Lord, are going through the valley of the shadow of death. So right now, through Psalm 91, verses 1 through to 2, we've got to find shelter of the Most High. We've got to find a place to rest, dear God, from the heat of the sun. We've got to find a place under your wings, Father, under your feathers. Lord, Lord, you are our refuge and our fortress. Lord, we're learning to trust in you. But right now, wherever we are, across this earth, from Singapore all the way to Japan, all the way from Japan, all the way to Oslo, from Oslo to Iceland, Father, all the way, dear God, through Europe. We pray for Romania. We pray, dear God, for Europe. We pray, dear God, for Poland, Bulgaria. Lord, we pray for breakthrough in these nations today. Because we are dwelling. Every nation is going to dwell in the shelf of the Most High. We're going to rest in the presence of our God. And Father, at the early hour right now, Lord, we pray that you will carry us and melt us and mold us, Lord, into that vessel. Lord, keep us on the potter's wheel. Father, we pray for families. We pray, dear God, for the midnight hour. We pray as the surge of the day is just about to start. The tidal way of life. We pray for protection today. The prayer of protection over our lives as the tidal wave starts to rise. Lord, as the valley starts to get wider. Lord, as the tightrope of life gets more and more difficult to walk. So, Father, help us not to look down at the tightrope. Help us to look up to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords as we cross over the valley. Lord, as we walk, dear God, on the tightrope of life. We believe in protection. We believe in peace and your covering over each and every one of us. We believe that fear has lost its voice today. Lord, we pray at this morning hour, through this devotional time, through this prayer time, we believe in the everlasting arms of Christ. We believe, dear God, let faith rise higher than fear in the name of Jesus. Lord, let his presence be your fortress through unseen storms. Lord, we believe right now that we are praying for protection through the night, safety and security at home, divine refuge and strength, families under fire. Lord, we believe, dear God, that you are moving. We thank you that there is peace in a fearful world. Lord, deliver us from danger. Protect us from evil and harm. Lord, we believe God's angels are guarding us. We believe, dear God, heavenly hosts have been deployed over our lives. And Father, we have confidence in the Word of God. Lord, we believe that we're in God's shelter. We believe that we're in God's presence. Father, we got faith right now. This faith is rising higher than fear. This faith, dear God, is giving us safety. This faith, dear God, is healing us. So right now, Lord, Father, we thank you as we declare, I dwell in the shelter. Lord, I want to tell the world today, I dwell in the shelter and the shadow of the Most High. I will fear no evil. The Spirit of the Lord is over you, sister and brother, wherever you are, the power of God, the glory, the anointing, the wave of the Holy Spirit. You take refuge in the Word of God. Don't you ever give up. But let's tell the world through this call to action. Share the early morning prayer with someone that needs God's protection today. Wherever you are, never give up. My name is Reverend Ben Cooper. Until tomorrow, stay strong. Stay in the word of God. Hold on because God is with you in Jesus' name. Amen.
